There was this seemingly unassuming comic that came out this week that I'd never heard of before called "Ultracat", and after one issue, it's making a very strong case for being my new favorite comic.
Simple summary, as best as I'm able, is that it's a comedy comic that's kind of like if Superman's alter ego was, instead of Clark Kent, an adorable little blue house cat. Or, alternatively, it's about a flying brick superhero who's called just "Ultra" by his owner that spends his downtime being a regular cat, but with super powers. And a red cape that's always on. Including genuine "Super Cuteness".
Oh, and his arch nemesis is an evil pug that lives in the same apartment, directly across the hall.
There's a part of me that wonders if this is actually a webcomic from somewhere that's being reprinted, since the the layout is strange and most the comic is set up in three or four-panel beats that take up half the page, except you have to turn the whole comic on its side to read it.
