Midnight Palace, The Media Center of Civilization

Casual, jaunty humming fills the air around a young clock punk styled cloaked man, red hair noticeable under his hood and golden eyes eagerly going over the screen before him. Flicking what seems to be coordinates and names onto the side of the screen, the young man stops & smiles triumphantly after separating ten names. "Two less than maximum goal, but surely they'll understand. Really not easy picking acceptable candidates..." Getting up from his 'chair' which quickly folds back into his cloak, the young man jumped back in shock upon noticing a silver haired man that wasn't there before. The clock punk boy clutching his chest, he looks at the other man with exaggerated annoyance- Who simply cocks an eyebrow at him, as if asking 'Why are you playing around?'

The hooded redhead sighing, he folds his hands behind his neck before speaking casually nice "Well, as you properly already figured out, I found you ten candidates for Project... pfft, C.A.R.A.P.A, so you can go anytime now Neil." 'Neil' glaring at the annoyed, he mutters to himself too softly to be heard before turning away from the boy. Holographic display opening from a white band that he's wearing, a portal opens before him and he leaps through it.

Earth-702

Abruptly, time stands still for all- All except a young man known as Seth Stiles. Yet, before he could really go anywhere, a silver haired man appears within his sight of vision. Propping up the glasses on his face, the man looks towards Seth, bringing a white band out from seemingly nowhere. Finally, the man speaks calmly "While I am certain you meant no harm, it is fact you've caused great property damage- Thus, even if they're able to safely remove Project Body Check, you'll still end up in prison."

Letting go of the white band, gravity does not grab hold of it, and the man goes on "The organization I work for, DOTO, is willing to give you this chance- Accept the white band if you'll work with us, and eventually we'll ensure there'll be no complications. Refuse our offer, and well, you'll most likely end up being killed by IronCorp to retrieve their stolen technology. Choice is yours." With that said, the man disappears as abruptly as he arrived- Yet the white band hovers there, time still frozen, as if waiting for Seth's decision.

"Invader Zim"

To almost everyone else, nothing seemed out of the ordinary- Well, more, what with the extraterrestrial life. However, to the ones known as Zim & GIR a sharply dressed man with silver hair looked around casually intrigued. Ultimately, his gaze settled on the two, with a few white bands hovering around his back. Moving somewhat closer, the man's eyes narrow before finally speaking coolly "I've come to make you two an offer- Take one of these white bands each, and you'll be working with the same organization I do for a while. Of course, you can refuse them, but this universe seems like one where humanity will eventually dissect you so..."

Shrugging his shoulders lightly, the man continues "You can either help save universes, or suffer at the hands of humanity in this one instead. Realistically you only got one option, but freedom of choice you know?" The two white bands hovering just within reach of Zim & GIR the man fades away from their vision, yet the bands await their choice.

Earth SC-16

The last thing anyone was probably expecting was another presence in a certain woman's high security prison cell, yet unknown to those who couldn't was now a casually dressed silver haired man standing before Elisa Tracks. Absent-mindedly rubbing at the white collar on his neck with his left hand, the man gave something of a sad smile before speaking to Elisa in a subdued but focused tone.

"You've done bad things, and you want to repent, to be punished for what you've done. I've known what that is like once... But sitting around, rotting away, that doesn't help anyone. Thus, I'll like to give you a chance Elisa- Join the DOTO, the Defenders of The Omniverse and help us set right the wrongs out there."

Taking off his white collar, it shrinks down to a size more fitting of a wrist. Leaving it to hover right in front of Elisa, the man speaks once more "Just call for it, and it'll take you to our base. However, if you'll rather stay in here till the day you die, just tell it to leave... Either way, I'll waiting back at the base, so until then." Thus the man was simply... Gone as he finished his sentence.

"Lupin the 3rd"

Walking up to the cell of Daisuke Jigen is, seemingly, an absolutely normal security guard. Silver hair almost in way of his silvery eyes, nobody would really expect anything from the man- And yet he stops right in front of the cell, turning to look at Jigen. Suddenly, the man calls out to the prisoner "Do you really belong in there sir? Because, I think you could be doing far better things, though I suppose that's for you to decide..."

Pulling out a white band from his left sleeve and tossing it before Jigen, the 'guard' speaks up "If you rather be doing a job and making something of yourself, my organization will come for you once you take that band. However, if you'll rather keep waiting, I must point out it is taking your friend quite a while. Though, if you do enough jobs for DOTO, we'll ensure your reunion." With that said, the guard walks out of Jigen's sight, and once doing so is already gone.

"League of Legends"

Though perhaps not the more extravagant, a man in silver clothes walked up and kept a respectable distance from the two men before him- Malcolm Graves and Twisted Fate. Gently pulling on his silvery necklace, the man with even silver hair and eyes called out to them "I hear you're men who seek fame, fortune, and even adventure. Tell me, do you find much of those here?"

Not truly waiting for an answer, the man presented back a white band "Take those, and you'll see brand new lands you couldn't believe, wonders beyond your imagination... And of course, treasures & fortune surpassing your wildest dreams. Though, I could... Understand, if you would rather still here. I mean, who doesn't love rotting in captivity?" Tossing the white bands towards the two, the man disappears just as they make their decision.

"Doom"

The first thing the "Doom Marine", the "Doom Slayer" would see would be his Super Shotgun and Double Bladed Chainsaw- Next would be a man dressed in silvery powered armor, holding out a white band, and speaking rather matter-of-factly "The Defenders of The Omniverse, DOTO for short, would like to request your aid. Man such as yourself has no business being imprisoned for all eternity, and there are things just as bad or even worse than demons."

Letting the white band gently float over to the Doomguy, the powered armor stranger speaks once more "You can either fight off demons again, or work for DOTO to do even greater good for everyone. I would suggest the latter though, as nothing can keep you imprisoned working for us." With his words said, the stranger flickers out of vision, the band waiting for the Doomguy.

"Prototype", 2008

Standing over the regenerating puddle of biomass is a man in a hazmat suit, his clearly visible- His silver eyes flickering over the mass, interest and ideas clearly running through his mind. Stilling a forming smile and calming his face, the man drops a white band onto the puddle, his voice calm yet tinged with intrigue "You're an interesting being... Can we call you Alex? Regardless, I work for an organization that wishes to help the innocent and protect everything that is important. We, DOTO, hate all that is evil..."

Bringing a hand to his chin and straightening his spine, the man's arm drops before he speaks again "I'm honestly not sure how to appeal to you, but... If you accept that white band, you'll be able to join DOTO and we'll ensure your safety. With us, you'll be able to learn so much, be able to save so many, be able to stop so much violence... You can refuse, of course, but there isn't really a place for you. Plus, you may leave at any time, so why not see what DOTO is all about?" Bringing up his right wrist to show off a similar white band, the man taps it- Creating a gate of some kind of above him, through which he leaps into, leaving Alex Mercer to make his decision.

Beast Wars Cybertron

Though its inhabitants may be techno-organic, there weren't really any humans moving about. Thus it was plain as day when a similarly small Cybertronian approached the altered Waspinator, revealing through the clear dome a human's head. Holding out his left palm for a white band to unhook and hover towards Waspinator, the human spoke clearly & simply "I'm part of a technologically advanced organization, that'll be capable of restoring to you a proper body for a Cybertronian. In fact, just put on that band and the marker will teleport straight to base. However..."

Raising a finger and holding his left arm behind his back, the human folds his hands together before speaking "You will need to cooperate with us Waspinator, or else we can't in good conscience let you return with your real body. So, either work for us, or spend the rest of your existence as the thing you are now. Would anyone else be willing to help you? Decide, and decide soon." His words said, the human and human alone is suddenly teleported away.

Midnight Palace, The Media Center of Civilization, Portal Area

With the hustle and bustle, the numerous & variant lifeforms moving about, one could mistake the area for a commercial transportation zone- Large gates closing & opening to different locations, pads receiving & sending individuals, matter forming and deconstructing... It was almost like every single possible means of teleportation was being used. However, in a little off the way segment, is a see-through wire dome enveloping a large blue pad with two gigantic keys emblazoned on it.

Though a crowd of sorts has begun to form, waiting to see what comes through, two individuals stand out- A redhaired young man, dressed like some clock punk grim reaper, and a fourteen year old boy wearing an almost oriental blue outfit. While the younger boy adjusts what seems to be a newsboy cap, the redhaired man jumps back as 'Neil' abruptly appears before him. Once again looking at Neil annoyed, Neil casually turns his attention to the tween boy- Only to look confused.

The young boy looking almost offended, he speaks up "Ryan and I went into a Strike Witches universe, this is my victory hat for that incarnation." Neil seeming to try figuring it out, he ultimately gives up and just mutters more to himself "You don't even watch anime, so how...?" Shaking his head as if to clear his thoughts, Neil turns around and generally speaks to the two "So, did either of you actually locate a Mission or did you get lost searching the Omninet yet again?"

Ryan letting out an offended "Hey!", the younger boy smiles as he pulls out an oversized key(?) from nowhere, slinging it over his shoulder before calling out cheerfully "Yep! A Gravity Daze, Rush, whatever universe is suffering a Nevi attack! They're-" Neil holding up his hand to stop the boy, he turns back to him and speaks "They'll be here soon enough Gateway, save it for then." The one known as Gateway saluting the silver haired Neil, the three young men stand much closer than the crowd around them.

So, just some simple stuff- I did the Opening Post this way for, well, a Establishing Character Moment for everyone. Oh, and regarding the crowd- Basically you guys can use that for Cameos, what with DOTO being an interuniversal organization with members from practically everywhere. I'll also be able to post rather quickly, so I might end up doing some mini updates.

Doomguy tilts his head as he stares at the white band. His gaze then turned to the chainsaw and supershotgun. Picking up the chainsaw he pulled the rip cord and started the double bladed beast of a power tool. The satisfying roar of its engine brought a hidden smile to Doomguy's face. With a gesture the device soon vanished as he picked up the double barrel shotgun. Popping it open to check to see if it was still loaded, and checking his armors reserves of shells, the hidden smile only increases in size.

Locking the barrel back into place with the shotgun held loosely in one hand, Doomguy activated the white band, figuring anything was better then waiting for however long his next fight with demons would happen. Besides, maybe it was time for a change of scenery.

What a change of scenery it was. An eclectic mix of all sorts of strange people and beings greeted Doomguy after the teleportation. A few seemed to be demonic in origin yet at the same times standing alongside those of almost angelic presence. His arm twitched as he resisted the urge to raise his gun and go to work. This wasn't his first time dealing with an apparently friendly demon, but it was still something of a strangehood for him.

There were other oddities from people with swords bigger then they are, to glowing vaguely humanoid energy beings, to giant robots of unknown make, to even others in green power armor. He remained silent as he stood there and examined the crowd, still somewhat tensed and ready for a fight.

Elisa Tracks

I blinked once, twice, thrice. There was a part of me who couldn't believe it. A man, a rather strangely colored haired man might I add, came out of nowhere, literally, and offered me something I only dreamed of: a chance to make things right. I was given a chance to help, to make up for what I did. ...for the lives I've taken. Not only that, I wasn't helping just my world, I would help other worlds, other places in need.

Admittedly, who would believe such a thing? But after staring at the floating white wrist band, I knew it wasn't a lucid dream. After all, why would I dream up someone else who knew what it was like, to commit sins and wish to repent, and offer a chance to me? There was also the fact the man disappeared as soon as he finished and I had went to another universe myself.

For the first time in a long time, I smiled. I had my chance, I wasn't going to waste it.

I stood, grabbed the wristband and put it on. As soon as I did, information clicked into my head; a brief explanation of several things that would later make more sense to me. It was a little jarring, but the next thing I knew, I found myself blinded by rather bright light. True, it wasn't that bright, but the light in my cell was rather dim. It took a few blinks and shakes of my head before my vision returned...and once again I stared. I found myself in a large wire dome and in front of me was a crowd...full of all sorts beings, for lack of a better word.

Some humanoid, some outlandish, some looked almost mundane. The ones that stood out the most for me was a familiar silver haired man standing near them. I shook my head to get myself out of my stupor and then smiled. I was about to give a slight bow and say my thanks to him when I felt a familiar sensation on my neck. I was wearing my Alpha Collar.

In surprise, I reached up to make sure I wasn't imagining things. It was indeed there and I found that I was also wearing my usual attire, my shoes, my jeans, my shirt—both my white t-shirt and pink polo shirt—and my bracelet. I examined the last one in more detail. Yes, it was indeed my bracelet. The bracelet Carmelo gave me... I smiled again. This was real...and I could imagine him smiling at that.

Finished with my once over, I then took better stock of my surroundings...and jumped a little at seeing there was someone nearby me holding a giant shotgun. I swear, that nearly scared the life out of me. Apparently I wasn't the only one given the offer. Perhaps there were others as well? I looked around to see if anyone else would arrive.

Area 51 Holding Cells

The short green Irken paced around his pure-white cell angrily. "We've been here for almost 5 years now, GIR. Do you know what that means?" He shot his gaze at the toddler-sized robot humming quietly in the corner. "MR. PIGGY WON'T COME VISIT ANYMORE? I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM IN SO LONG! I MISS HIM!" GIR asked, not breaking his enthusiastic, very loud tone for even a second. Zim shook his head feverishly. "No! It's worse than that! It means... THE TALLEST LOST CONTACT! They could be worried I've failed! We have to get out of here! We'll need 30 goldfish and 205 sa-" Zim was interrupted by a well-dressed man, who somehow got access to their cell. "What are you doing here, Earth-smell-bad-man?!"

After being briefed on the "choice", the man leaves Zim and GIR to decide. "Me?! HELP?! They want me, Zim, to help them, humans?! RIDICULOUS! I would never stoop to such a low! Even if it meant getting out of here! Right, GIR?" Zim looks over only to see GIR charging towards the band to put it on. "PRETTY WHITE THING YAY!" GIR puts it around his neck and teleports away.

"GIIIIIR! Now I have to help! Curse you, humanityyyyyyyyyyyyy!" Zim reluctantly walks over to the band and puts it around his neck.

The duo find themselves in a strange place. Zim's been around the universe, but he's never seen a place like this. "What is this? Who are you? What is this and who are you?" He asks. GIR, however, seems a lot less concerned with his surroundings and more enthused, like usual. "WOW! IT'S SO PRETTY!" Then he opened up his head and pulled out a rubber pig. "LOOK! MR. PIGGY CAME TOO!" Zim looks over to see, and gets an unpleasant flashback to the time he accidentally replaced his brain with a toy pig (it's a long story). "No! Bad GIR! Put it back." The robot in question gets a sudden look of sadness, a look Zim hasn't seen in all five years of their detainment, and puts the pig back in his head. "AWWWW..." Then, he looked happy again as if nothing happened and runs over to the masked man with a shotgun in clear sight. "HI PERSON! DO YOU LIKE BISCUITS?" Clearly, GIR doesn't have any worries about safety.

Midnight Palace

"Hoo-hooo!" Waspinator flexed his green body and wiggled his fingers. All ten of them, present and accounted for, filed into sharp claws the way he liked.

Diagnostics flickered over his eyes as he ascertained that yes- for the first time in a long time, he was back in one piece. No lousy Vehicon head, no tiny mode-locked body... just Waspinator. This time, there would be no Megatron, no ant-bot or cat-bot or lousy drones... Waspinator would rule for once. At least, that's what he thought.

"Wazzzpinator is back!" he declared, clapping his hands with glee and doing a little victory jig. "Wazzpinator finally having good day!"

Noxian Prison, Runeterra

"Told you that we would eventually get out of here, Graves. No fighting Destiny, after all." Twisted Fate smirked at Graves inside the darkness of their cold cell after the silver-clothed man disappeared out of the prison cell, as Graves simply responded by rolling his eyes in annoyance.

"I'd figured you would get us out of here soon enough, Fate, though I'd didn't expect to get out like this..." Graves glances at the white bands the man left. "You think we should take up the offer?"

"I'd figure we should anyways..after all, I can't exactly teleport you along with me out of this cell, otherwise I'd leave you to rot...and none of us want a redo of our Bilgewater, do we?"

"Glad you aren't.." The Outlaw and the Cardmaster grabbed the wristbands and equipped it on their wrists..

Midnight Palace

"Quite a crowd, huh Malcolm?" Twisted Fate glanced at the multitude of crowds at the strange place they were brought to, from a large green robotic being that seemed overly happy about "being back" to a heavily armored green soldier.

"Well, well well." Graves mused as he realized that his personal shotgun, Destiny was now once again on his hands, as he smiled like a child who was just given a large present would. "Good to know you're all in one piece."

"You got your shotgun back?"

"Obviously. Did you got your playing cards?"

Twisted Fate checked at the usual place he stored his cards on his fancy coat, and sure enough, he pulled out 3 glowing cards of varied symbols and colors, this earned a chuckle out of the Cardmaster.

"Lady Luck always smiles on me."

Earth-702

For a moment, all Seth Stiles could really do was look at the white band, processing what had just happened. He was still on one knee, as he'd been before time stopped, with two IronCorp security guards, in their powered exoskeletons, restraining his arms.

"Gimme a sec..." he said to the band. Seth knew it wouldn't respond back, but he didn't want whoever was monitoring it to think he was refusing the offer. With no possibility for resistance from the security guards, he wrenched his arms free, reached over to his snapback, which had fallen off his head in the prior struggle, and put it back on his head with the bill facing backwards. Once he'd done that, he snatched back the aviators another guard had snatched off him. Granted, they technically weren't his, but the guy whose desk he'd grabbed them off of probably had bigger things to worry about. Like, say, the building he works in being destroyed as a result of all the havoc Seth had accidentally set off.

"Okay then..." Seth said as he put the Ray-Bans back on and stepped back. "Before I go, I just want to say, thanks for tearing this whole damn place up trying to get me back. Thanks for shooting at me and making me run for my life, thanks for not talking to me before you started trying to kill me, thanks for probably scaring the shit out of my classmates...oh, yeah, and thanks for having no other security measures preventing me from walking into R&D and accidentally turning myself into a fuckin' cyborg!" He sighed and put his face in his hand. "I can't believe I ever wanted to work for you people..."

He perked up suddenly. "How rude of me! I should leave you all a parting gift." He adopted a boxing stance reminiscent of Muhammad Ali's, and one by one, he doled out jabs, hooks, and uppercuts to all eight of the guards around him. They didn't move at all, but that was okay. He knew they'd feel it once time got unstuck.

"Hasta la vista, culeros," he said, adopting his mother's Tijuana accent for a minute as he approached the white band. He put the band on his wrist, but instead of being able to walk away like he thought he would, he just teleported out.

The moment he was gone, all of the guards were knocked onto their backs. They looked around for Seth, but there was no sign of him anywhere. For a solid minute, the only sounds to be made were the crackling flames of nearby buildings.

"We're all fired, aren't we?"

Midnight Palace

When Seth saw where the wristband had taken him, he took a step back and looked around, surprised at what he was seeing. In a mere ten seconds, he swore he spotted Batman, Dante from Devil May Cry, and at least three different characters from cyberpunk novels he'd read. What the hell was this place?

After listening to the white band's explanation of key info—turned out it could respond to him after all—he started looking around a bit more. In the immediate area, he spotted some kind of space marine with a shotgun. That guy's huge, thought Seth. That must mean he has huge GUTS! Wait, no, that's not what that means... Meanwhile, some kind of small green dog had walked up to the space marine and was attempting to converse with him about biscuits. Or was that a dog costume? Whatever it was, it sounded more like a robot than a dog. He also spotted Waspinator—how could he not? The guy was giant and bright yellow—but decided not to approach him just yet. Seth wasn't sure the Predacon would understand if a human walked up and said "My older brother had your action figure! He liked to throw it at the wall and pretend it exploded..."

Seth did, however, take an interest in Elisa, seeing as she was the only other person who looked like someone he could plausibly meet in his own world. Not to mention that hair...those eyes...okay, he wasn't going to mention that straight away. In his experience, jumping straight to that wasn't the way to get a girl. He took a deep breath, braced himself, and walked up to her.

"What's up?" he said, extending a hand. "The name's Stiles...Seth Stiles." If he wasn't wearing mirrored shades, she'd have seen the "crap, I already screwed up" look in his eyes when he realized what he just said. "Sorry, that was a bit corny for an introduction."

Doomguy looked down at the small robot in the dog suit. His head tilted to the side seemingly curious about the entity, before one hand reached down and picked up GIR by the top of its head. He brought the robot up to eye level examining it for a few brief seconds before with a flick of the wrist tossing it back at the little green man it had arrived with.

It was odd for Doomguy to be in such an odd mix of entities and not be fighting to the death because of it. A tenseness left his body as he began to realize that he could feasibly relax for the moment without risking being torn apart. The shotgun soon vanished, as the armored marine decided he didn't need to be armed for the moment.

I was right, more beings did arrive, and they were interesting to say the least. What got my attention the most was this bug like humanoid. I guessed some type of wasp, partially from what he said. I was so distracted by this that I didn't realize someone was walking up to me until he spoke.

"What's up?" I heard him say.

I turned my head to the voice to indeed see a young man, his hand extended in greeting.

"Name's Stiles...Seth Stiles," he continued.

I blinked. Did he just...?

Apparently he realized the same as he quickly added, "Sorry, that was a bit corny for an introduction."

I chuckled. I grabbed his hand and shook it with a smile. "It was rather formal, Mr. Stiles, but corny is equally appropriate," I said with an obviously fake English accent then let go of his hand. I reverted back to my normal way of speaking as I continued. "Seriously though, nice save. Name's Elisa. Elisa Tracks. Nice to meet you."

"Thanks," said Seth, breathing a sigh of relief as he let go of Elisa's hand. Nice save, indeed. "So they do have James Bond movies where you come from. I think we'll get along just fine, then. Unless your favorite Bond movie is Die Another Day. Then we might have trouble." He took his shades off and hung them on the front of his Escape the Fate T-shirt, but then he stopped and realized what he was doing. She would see his eyes. That wasn't something he really wanted.

"Um...this is awkward..." He started looking around, drawing yet more attention to his eyes. If Elisa looked, she'd see his eyes were green like hers, but not in the way green eyes naturally came. Their brightness made it obvious there was something more to him. He quickly put the sunglasses back on. "Sorry you had to see that. I've only been this way for maybe twenty minutes...I'm still not used to the change." He folded his arms in front of his chest and looked away. If he had a wall behind him to lean on, he would already be on it. Then, suddenly, he looked up. "Beautiful sky, huh?" He knew Elisa would probably see right through this attempt at distraction, but it was better than nothing.

GIR screams excitedly as he's thrown back towards Zim. Unfortunately, Zim isn't as excited due to the fact GIR slams him squarely in the face. "Ow!" He turns and looks at Doomguy. "You have nerve, helmet-human! I feel like we won't get along very well. Once I'm done here, you will be sorry that you ever messed with ZIM!" Zim then turns and looks at the other strange characters and immediately stops when he sees the wasp-person-robot-thing. "You! What are you? Do you talk?"

Meanwhile, GIR decides Doomguy doesn't wanna talk now. Maybe later. Those two beard guys might be more in the mood to chat! GIR runs over to Graves and Fate. "HI PEOPLE! YOUR FACES ARE PRETTY!" He says, pointing happily at their beards. "WANT A MUFFIN?" He continues, reaching into his head to pull out two rather large muffins. "IT'S GOT CORN IN IT! I LIKE CORN!" Then, before the two can even react, the dog-robot shoves both muffins into his mouth, wrapper and all. "I HAVE MORE IF YOU WANT SOME!"

I chuckled again. "Actually, I haven't seen any of the movies," I said.

Seth took off his shades but then started acting odd. Then I realized that his eyes were bright green, literally. They almost looked like gemstones. Why were they like that? He looked anywhere that wasn't me before he quickly put his shades back on and apologized. I didn't understand why he was apologizing but when he started to point out the sky, I knew it was something he didn't want to talk about. So I looked up and was surprised to find it looking like it was the midnight sky.

When was the last time I saw the stars like this?

My smile became much bigger. "Yeah. I mean, look at that! It's like it's night and yet we can see just fine." Then I remembered that the band had mentioned earlier that this place—Midnight Palace—didn't neccessarily follow any scientific rules. Well, it was certainly living up to its name, at least.

Seth's behavior didn't slip my mind though. In fact, that was exactly why I took his bait.

So I said, my smile more sympathetic now, "Hey, if you don't want to talk about it, it's okay. I understand." Then I added, in an attempt to shift the topic, "But you're not the only one with "weird looks" you know." I gestured to my collar then at the others nearby.

Though I pale in comparison, if his world was anything like mine, I was pretty sure not many people wore collars, if at all.

Midnight Palace, Media Center's Portal Area

For several moments Cornelius, the silver haired man, watches the recruits- Whereas the God known as Gateway becomes gradually more excited, and Ryan seeming to write down on an invisible surface. Finally, as the crowd weaves and changes, Cornelius calls out strongly & loudly "Attention!"

White Band, Law Control, of his own shining Cornelius briefly flickers- And a massive robotic body of white takes his place, kneeling down on one foot and looking towards the group in the wire dome. Its head moving just enough to glance over everyone, the robot compacts in on itself- And in doing so, revealing Cornelius floating in mid-air, massive cybernetic wings of white extending from his back.

Arms folded against his chest, Cornelius begins dropping down and speaks in a coolly calm voice "Things must be disorienting and strange for all of you. There is much you've yet to learn, and introductions amongst yourselves is important. However, we have already acquired a mission for you all."

Touching the ground and motioning for Ryan to step forward, the redhaired young man calls out warmly "Ideally you'll all be leaving to the world of Gravity Rush soon, though is there anything you all want to know or wish for first?"

Manhattan Docks

For a while his senses faded, the world a quiet blur. Eventually a small bird settled upon him, and he ate it greedily, breaking it down and using it to slowly but surely rebuild himself. In the process, a stranger came along and made him an offer.

If he took the white band, he would have a place safe from the government that no doubt wanted to track him down. And from whatever remained of Blackwatch. He didn't believe for a second that Blackwatch would be put down this easily. So leaving... but, Dana. His sister was still in a coma - no. Dana wasn't his sister. The stranger's words echoed in his mind.

"Can we call you Alex?"

He wasn't Alex Mercer. He was a monster, wearing a dead man's face. Dana... when she learned what he was, right before she was taken by Greene, she'd looked at him with horror. She would be better off without him. If he was gone, Blacklight would have no reason to go after her. His body finished repairing itself, and he grabbed the white band.

Midnight Palace

He found himself in a vibrant place with a diverse crowd. Many faces were faintly familiar. The thousands of lives that made up his neural network at once recognized things that should only exist in fiction. Of course, he himself was a creature that science could barely understand, so he wasn't one to judge.

Then a giant robot told them about their first mission. Memories of soldiers came to the forefront of his thoughts, and he snapped to attention, awaiting orders. He wasn't used to following orders, but at least it kept his mind off of what would happen if he consumed some of the more... unique organisms here.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Stammheim Prison, 1974, Lupin-verse

Jigen eyed the wrist-band from a slouched sitting position in his cell. So it was another gizmo this time? Or even truly him this time? The gunslinger sighed, it was no secret that Lupin had been tying to bust him out for the better part of a year and a half now. Not from Stammheim precisely, but from other prisons around the globe, every time he even got close they shut him out an moved him as fast as they. He had tried to break out himself of course, and he could still feel the bruises, cuts and stabs that those attempts had costed him. A mop of hair covered his eyes partly as he looked around his cell and then back at the wrist band. What was the plan now? He slowly stood up and walked over, it didn't really matter if it was Lupin or a third party this time, either way he could get out and go on from there. He crouched down and picked it up.

"Here goes nothing" he said in a tired tone, pulling on the gizmo. In that moment his mind had a jolt and his eyes widen "Damn... Damn, damn, damn!" and poof he was transported.

Midnight palace

Jigen found himself crouching in the midst of the myriad of strange characters, from three headed werewolf women, to faceless men in tenchcoats and women in high collared capes and shiny black leotards. Well, he he was either hallucinating, or really in a meeting hall for many worlds. And either made him a big frigging dumbass. Yes, of course, he'd taken the band in case it was a scheme to break him out , and technically he was out... But he didn't think he was going here. He stood up and began looking around, walking in his trademark slouched posture at least they promised to take him back home when he did some jobs for them, and while the vague wording of the contract was worrying to say the least but at least it seemed they wouldn't double-cross him.

He heard a voice address them and to his surprise it was a robot talking, floating in midair too, no less. The voice sounded familiar... of course, it was the 'guard' that recruited him. He disliked him already, but he had signed the contract already so to speak, so he was bound to work. He was a professional. A professional in prison clothes and without tools. He needed them, so by the time he was asked if he had any questions he had already some requests ready.

"I only need four things" spoke up Jigen with his husky tone, gesturing by numbering with his fingers "I need information on where we are going, a suit, some cigarettes and my gun" staring at the robot.

My attention was soon drawn away from Seth as a familiar voice called for it. I looked to the silver haired man and found that he was now a large robot with wings. With all our focus assumably on him, he spoke.

"Things must be disorienting and strange for all of you. There is much you've yet to learn, and introductions amongst yourselves is important. However, we have already acquired a mission for you all," he said.

A mission just minutes after our recruitment? I did a small smile. A few minutes in and it was already starting to be like my old life; my life before I lost my way. Missions at any minute and usually on short notice, nice chats with a cohort, a colorful host of powerful forms...well, maybe not the last one. There were quite a few normal looking people here, myself included, at least right now.

A man with red haired and golden eyes—which also proved my ealier point to Seth thathe wasn't the only odd looking person—stepped forward and said,

"Ideally you'll all be leaving to the world of Gravity Rush soon, though is there anything you all want to know or wish for first?"

One of our group was quick to demand, a man in a prison suit. The first two items he listed were reasonable, but I frowned just a bit at the last two. He didn't seem like the kind of person I'd like under any circumstances. But I put those doubts aside. I wouldn't judge anyone and I didn't want to be judged. I found it odd, though, thathe was teleported without his possessions while I was.

But back to the redhead's words, I said, "Is it possible to tell my brother I'll be all right? That I'm...making up for what I did?"

There was a part of me who doubted it, just like with the man, but I'm sure that there was going to be quite an uproar back in my home. I didn't want my brother to worry and it would be a load off my mind if I had one less thing to worry about.

Doomguy glanced at Zim, and then turned his head away dismissively. The silent slight was clear. Zim was of no threat to Doomguy. He suddenly tensed as he snapped to attention. It may have been decades if not longer since he last had a commanding officer, but the UAC Marine Corps training was still a significant part of him. Though, they hadn't done too good of a job of drilling absolute obediance into Doomguy's head given what happened the last time he got an order he hadn't agreed with.

Fortunately, for the now floating silver haired man, there was nothing objectionable about a mission so soon after recruitment. The quick display of that collars capabilities intrigued Doomguy, but he'd put off figuring out how to replicate that later. He had his shotgun and chainsaw, he didn't really need much else. Though he wouldn't object to a BFG 9000.

Instead he fell out of attention and crossed his arms across his chest, and then started tapping his foot impatiently. He was ready and raring to go even if he had no clue what the mission was, or what Gravity Rush was.

"Wazzpinator is greatest Predacon of them all!" The Predacon, true to form, pounded a fist defiantely against his own ribbed armor plating, which echoed with a resounding clang - pulling out his rifle and waving it wildly around the room.

Midnight Palace, Media Center's Portal Area

The redhaired man dressed like a clockpunk reaper, Ryan Steele, jolts down notes on a holographic screen as he listens to everyone speak. Cornelius, on the other hand, calmly remains silent in thought- Yet clearly looking over the group. Finally, the casually standing God known as Gateway rocks back on his feet, whistling softly.

Ryan looking over to his friend Cornelius, still clad in armor with massive wings growing from his back, Cornelius turns to Jigen and spoke coolly "My apologies, Nexus didn't deem the last three necessary- The Law Control can create uniforms and weapons of various kinds, whilst the cigarettes would essentially be useless to you. But very well, ask Nexus and she'll retrieve any belongings for all of you."

His words spoken, Cornelius glances over to Ryan. The redhaired boy clearing his throat as Cornelius lowers his head like one in thought, Ryan calls out in a friendly tone "Regarding the Mission area, we've only just decided before your arrival, so admittedly we don't have all that-" Ryan stopping as a portal audibly opens in front of Gateway, the 'young' boy leaps through-

Before reappearing next to Ryan, his newsboy gone and revealing his almost completely blue hair save for a streak of black. Standing proudly and bringing a fist against his chest, Gateway talks with the tone of innocent pride "There's an absolutely massive stone pillar tree thing which civilization is centered around- Which, in question, are floating mult-leveled cities that use air trains to travel inbetween."

Spinning on his heels and giving a little nod before slightly throwing his arms up, Gateway adds on "So, ya know, total safety hazard if you can't fly or kind of sorta. Portals are fun, as I'm sure you'll figure soon enough." Big goofy smile being interrupted as Ryan gently slaps his head, Gateway looks at him with clearly fake anger before moving through a portal a mere three feet away.

Cornelius' head bobbing a little as if talking, Ryan gets ready to speak again before Cornelius does instead- White armor dissolving to reveal his face, his attention turned to Elisa, understanding on his face "Of course, and as for everyone- Nexus will help you send messages to anyone you know, recording and sending it to the chosen recipients."

Ryan, pulling up his hood and summoning a blocky gold/blue mass into his right hand, looks over to his two companions. The device unfolding into a large scythe, Ryan turns to Waspinator and speaks "Power is good and all, though admittedly all of you will have to prove yourselves- Don't want to put the full power of a Law Control into the hands of a destroyer ya know?"

Taking a deep breath, Ryan swings his scythe behind his back, draping his arms over the handle. Foot briefly tapping as he clearly thought to himself, he speaks once more "Would any of you like to familize yourselves with the Midnight Palace and each other first? Kind of don't want you flailing over each other, and with the Law Controls Nexus can teleport you to the Mission area from anywhere."

With his words spoken, Nexus then mentally contacted the Doomguy "They have finished for now, so I wanted to confirm something- Is there a 'BFG 9000' you're particularly fond of? My creator only retrieved your shotgun and chainsaw as a show of good faith, given the Law Control renders non-magical weaponry redundant."

Purgatory, Mass Effect

For a moment, it almost seems to Jack that she has waken up- Like an omnipresent cold and lack of any other sound proved otherwise. Yet, instead of being alone in an existential hell, a polite if almost emotionless female voice reaches her "Greetings, I am a nascent mind known as Nexus, something you'll learn again if you take my offer."

Appearing out of the 'air' is a young woman with silver hair and eyes, standing about five foot seven in a plain silver dress. Her eyes inquisitively looking Jack over, almost like a curious child, she gives a polite bow before speaking again "I have done some studying of other minds, making me decide you are someone who could do great things in your universe- Thus, I would like you to join DOTO."

White band of some kind forming in front of Jack, Nexus begins once more "Accept the Law Control and I'll be able to free you- Yet, you will need to assist DOTO in helping and saving others. If you refuse the Law Control, then I would have to leave- Though, study of some alternative versions of your universe leaves a chance someone will release you. However, if and who I cannot say for certain."

Looking visibly uncomfortable at what she had to save, Nexus gently sighs before speaking once more "I want your freedom regardless, as no one deserves eternal imprisonment. However, if I was to release you here and go there'll be no one to ensure your safety. Is there anything I can retrieve for you, so you'll join the organization I'm a part of?"

Jack - Purgatory, Mass Effect

Jack instictively almost reject the damn woman's offer. All her fucking life had been a living hell of being repeatdly used, abused, betrayed and then discarded. Why should this be any damn different? It wasn't like there hadn't bastards who had pretended to be goody-two-shoes to get what they wanted of her and after that, went back to be fucking bastards and betrayed her like everyone damn else.

And yet she should a damn fool not to take this chance. What could they do to stop to her once they were fools enough to release her?

Jack made a point of almost mentally reaching for the weird band before crossing her arms and scowling. " I can damn take care of myself. Only fucking advantage of the living hell those bastards at Cerberus put me through. I don't need damn weapons to escape this hellhole . What I need is damn information. Get my files on that hellhole called Teitlin and might consider it. Oh and if you're damn righteous, are willing to do anything about Cerberus?"

Graves and Twisted Fate looked at the strange hextech-like robot in a dog outfit. Somewhat reminding of the Zaunite hextech golem, Blitzcrank.

"I've seen weirder than that thing in my time at the locker." Graves shrugged to Fate, Fate smirked at GIR and responded to him. "Maybe later. Doesn't seem like my fellow compatriot wants that muffin anytime soon, and I soooo wouldn't want to eat it without him." Graves rolled his eyes in response to that.

Then the people who seemed to have freed them appeared, briefing them that they would be sent to a world called Gravity Rush. and asking them if would like to get acquainted with their other teammates and the place they currently were.

"I'd figure that would be a good idea...I'd rather not be lost like a drunk bilgerat in a tavern without knowing where I'm going or not knowing what the others can do after all." Graves said.

I listened to them as they spoke. Cornelius answered the prison clothed man first, then Ryan was about to explain our destination until Gateway interjected. So this Gravity Rush world was around a giant pillar of sorts which was somehow both a tree and made of stone, where transportation between locations is done solely throuh air transportation. I wouldn't have to worry about that. I can fly and I can lift at least one of my teammates if need be. I couldn't help but giggle when Gateway got comcially slapped by Ryan for interrupting him. Cornelius then answered me and I sighed in relief. That was good.

Ryan continued speaking, this time to Waspinator. When he was finished, he adressed us all and said, "Would any of you like to familize yourselves with the Midnight Palace and each other first? Kind of don't want you flailing over each other, and with the Law Controls Nexus can teleport you to the Mission area from anywhere."

A man in red armor with another giant gun, this time of the gatling kind, answered first.

"Yeah, I agree," I said, even though I found the red armored man's words odd. Must come from a medieval like place if there were places referred to as taverns. "I'd definitely like to see the Arena of Heroes."

But first, sending a message to my brother... Who was it again? Nexus? Ah yes, the voice from the band, the one who told me earlier of various things right before I was teleported. She said the bands were wired for telepathy. I raised my left arm and looked at my Law Control. Given that it seemed my attention on them wasn't needed right now, I thought I'd give it a try.

Hello? Nexus? Can you hear me? Does the message I want to send to my brother have to be a spoken one?

"It is nice to meet you, Waspinator! I am ZIM! Perhaps we can work together to destroy the world once we get out of here?" Zim has absolutely no problem threatening Earth while essentially being in prison. Whoops.

Meanwhile, GIR's chatting time isn't going to well. "... OKAY!" With that, GIR zooms back to Zim. "HI PERSON!" Zim looks at GIR confused. "GIR, it's me. Zim." GIR just stares. "HI PERSON!" Zim stares back "..." And then he turns to what he can only assume are his employers. "Gravity Rush? What is this? What is this? What is this?!" He says with no patience whatsoever.

Doomguy's hand twitched as he suddenly heard a voice in his head. It was different from the demonic whispers he had occasionally had to deal with and was evidently related to this DOTO group that had busted him out of his sarcophagus. The offer of the biggest gun was certainly tempting, and if it was some trick, well, might as well spring it now rather then later. Of the two types of BFG 9k's he's used, he was more partial towards the one he used during his first and second campaigns against Hell, so he sent that thought towards the voice in his head.

His arms stayed crossed across his chest as he turned his head back and forth to give a second lookover of the group, before returning his face to forward. His arms come uncrossed as he gestures widely to the side at the rest of the group and then shakes his head at their apparent boss. Either he had a really low opinion of the rest of the group, or he just didn't feel the need to get to know one another before being thrown into a mission, or he just preferred working solo.

Jigen's brow furrow, deepening some of the slight wrinkles that already rested there. Oh sure they conceded to bring anything he wanted, but only after admitting they thought it was unnecessary and useless, the hell do they think they were!? The whole way they recruited them and 'just decided' where to send them reeked of carelessness of people powerful enough to believe they didn't have to care. Well, its seemed they actually were, but it just didn't inspire much confidence. Still he stayed, listening, he'd made a deal with them and Jigen was nothing if not a professional, he'd be damned if he went out to a job without being briefed.

Hearing through what they had to hear Jigen was a tad annoyed at the location, it would be troublesome to traverse... unless. He looked at his Law Control, given what Cornelius had said and the bewildering knowledge that was in his mind it meant he could turn it into many things. His mind went to the convenience of having an anti-material rifle on person at all times, or being able to change suits on whim... but he could make it into a rocket pack or something of the sort. Lupin would be head over heels if he could get something like this. Lupin... That reminded him, the fool would probably keep trying to find him once he caught wind of him suddenly disappearing from a super max prison. For peace of mind he'd have to contact him. He began to walk, although it was more wandering.

"Whoever's in charge of messages" spoke, his voice slightly raspy "Nexus wasn't it? I need to send one... and see about my gun" he spoke up, as he tested trying to create a suit for himself with the Law Control, just as he's used to; wide-brimmed fedora, black jacket, dark blue shirt, flat tipped yellow tie, clipped to his shirt in the middle, black slacks modified with his holster, black leather belt, grey socks and black dressing shoes.
