Riestvor Dom's going to have his own supply/repair kit, or at least a minimum of equipment. Because as "universal" as the tools may be, I don't quite see them having the equipment to turn a fighter bay into a miniature garden/zoo/arcology. Or having a crazed medical droid/creature mash-up that's genuinely brilliant at surgery but is fully convinced that it's the equivalent of any astromech when it comes to repairs.

The action appears to taking place in the planetary atmosphere, deep in the gravity well. You know, where at least two of the spacecraft are stated not to be able to go, or where they'd be severely gimped. (The Honorverse LAC and the coralskipper.) Don't know about some of the others.
Well, the drop-out-of-hyperspace intro gave Riestvor an excuse for getting down into the atmosphere, at least.
