Yoshiki looks back and forth between Ren and Mana as they argue. Finally, he decides to chime in. "Isn't that why Ren's teaching me about medicine? So I'm not vulnerable?"
Date's House
Date suddenly stands. "Excuse me a moment..." he says before moving back out towards the shop.
Blacksmith Hut
Just as Minami is about to consider calling him, Date storms into the room, his eyes blazing in fury. Glaring at the floored Yama, he casually picks him up and tosses him out the store. He then grabs the sword Kokoro repaired and walks out and places it next to him. He goes back to the door and bows, still wearing a displeased expression.
"Thank you very much for your business. Now, don't ever come back here, or I'll break your spine in half." Date says before slamming the door shut.

Sonome Village, Blacksmith's Hut
Kokoro saw Date coming, though she barely had enough time to remove her Naginata from Yama's neck before he was picked up. By now the realization of what he tried fully dawned on her. She took a small step back, now lwaning against a wall. "Thank you Master." She gave a sigh "I-I'll be.. continuing my work now Master." True to that she started wokring on the leftover work from yesterday... albeit a bit slower than normally.

"Oh, ok. I think I get it." Tenzo answers Fuyume, taking a couple slices of goose with his fingers.
"Alright." He says to Tarou, not knowing what else to say. "My 'problem' is more of a force of nature, so I'm not sure how you'll reign that." He says to Polgara.
"...What do you mean by 'harsh'?" He asks Sasuke warily.

Mana snaps in response to Yoshiki giving a answer while being frustrated "While yes it'll make you less-... Could you understand what we were saying..?"Ren nodded to her. "He didn't say that for no reason did he? Last time I check though, you didn't know our tongue?"
<Raylen:"Did you Yoshiki-kun, you just knew your mothers tongue."> He continues changing language. Yoshiki still able to understand meaning despite not knowing what any individual word means.
Date's House/Shop

"Date-san..." Minami says, looking at him with concern. "Thank you. Sorry, I thought we could have handled it, she says giving a quick bow of apology.
Date shakes his head, idly scratching his hair. "No need for sorry, it's not like you asked for that. I thought he would have taken the hint after I burned his backside..."
At Rhylu's entry and comment, he chuckles. "Thankfully, I usually only have to that...Well, that was the first time. Hopefully, it doesn't happen again."

"Oh...you weren't speaking Japanese...? I didn't really realize..." he says, rubbing his forearm and looking like he just got scolded. "I just...knew I could understand the words..."
Tavern -> Village
Tarou steps out of the town, his mind a mess of thoughts. He glances up at the sun beginning to set over the horizon. "...The temple..." he says and heads off, making the trek back towards the temple grounds.

Kokoro shortly turned around to give a bow of apology herself hearing what Minami said though sighed in relief as she heard the reaction. "Master, thank you again." She put the Naginata away as she looked to Rhylu "As long as you don't try to grab and kiss me you won't receive such." She said with a frown before continuing her work. "Err.. Master? It may be not the right moment... but... if been meaning to ask you... is there a small house nearby I could live in? I can't really stay at the tavern for the whole time of my apprenticeship with you."

Rhylu shakes his head to Kokoro "As attractive and strong you're.. I'll pass." He responds with a joking look, though he was just staring mouth agape somewhat at Date."Y-yeah, understood... Is that why you didn't seem okay before..?" He questions maybe due to his current physical weakness a little nervously from the display. "You two aren't hurt are you?" Rhylu questions with almost a sense of duty in his voice, for some reason.

Ren stops and turns, going over to Yoshiki and kneeling slightly and putting a hand on his shoulder gently. "Hey its okay my little hero. It's not your fault, don't let mean old Mana say-""I can you hear you know."
"-as I was saying, don't let her say anything to get you down." He smiles a little and nudged him. "I am curious how you understand us though.. Mana, your spell before di-"
"I got it right, it worked just fine!" He retorted, almost offended.
"Was it 'You are us', or 'Your among us?'" He questions almost accusatorially.
Mana pauses, stumbling back and looking away with a arrogant nose to the sky trying to hide her blushing from making her guilt and shame, realizing she did use the wrong one...

Kotone mutters softly, almost inaudibly, "Do you think I should go follow him...make sure he doesn't get hurt...?"Sasuke either doesn't hear her, or doesn't acknowledge her question, simply closing his eyes, his nails - almost claw-like - bite into the wood of the bar, before he answers Tenzo, "I honestly don't think you want to know...it's torturously painful and humiliating, I'll tell you that much..."
Polgara tutts at Kotone, "I think he just needs some time to clear his head, dear. Don't you fret."
She gives a wolfish glance to Tenzo, before saying, "We all have our little demons inside us, though some people pretend otherwise. The trick is learning to accept that, and accentuating the positive aspects while releasing the negative in other ways."
"I'm as free as the dust in the solar wind."
Tavern
"I... alright, I guess I've figured enough." Tenzo says to Sasuke, shuddering slightly at the statement.
"Well, that's why I was hoping some people here could teach me how to control my powers." He says to Polgara, looking back outside. "Including Tarou..."

Date glances down, finally noticing the smoldering bandages around his fingertips. "...Ah, that's what you meant. I suppose I lost myself for a minute earlier, yes. Sorry..." He turns his attention back to the girls as Rhylu's asks their condition.
Minami gives a subtle nod before answering. "I am fine, yes, he did not touch me...Kokoro might feel differently, though..."
At Kokoro's question, Date thinks. "Vacant houses...let me think, I am not completely sure offhand..."
"Oh!" Minami speaks up again suddenly. "My family has lots of empty room at our estate. Only the four of us live there, so we have plenty of empty rooms. If you would not mind that, I mean."
Path to Sonome
"...I don't remember hearing among, no..." Yoshiki says, doing his best to remember Mana's spell, but remembering the words without even knowing what they were was difficult. "So...what does that mean? Has something happened to me?"
Temple Construction Site
Tarou soon finds himself back at the construction site, now completely deserted. He looks up at the partially constructed building at the top of the stairs and makes his way up, almost as if a trance. Once he reaches the too, he walks up to the now ruined prayer monument that had been between the top of the stairs and the entrance to the temple itself, holding out a hand.
"I knew I felt something... there's residual energy here just leaking out. If I can tap into this...I may find where that shard has gone just yet..."
With his mind made up, he glances up to the darkening sky and sits before the broken monument in a meditative position. He starts to channel his spiritual essence, it becoming a visible aura around him as it intermingles with the spiritual power exuding from the monument.
In the next moments, the world around Tarou starts to become muffled and dark, as if it's very existence was ceasing to be...
???
After a brief moment that feels like an eternity, Tarou seemingly returns to consciousness, opening his eyes...though, his surroundings are markedly different.
The world was quiet and still, and painted in almost glowing monochrome shades. What looked like translucent balls of light idly floated and flickered around, as well as far off as he could see in the distance. The temple grounds around him were as they once were before the devestating fires. Though, they seemed to ethereal and slowly fading, almost as if to replicate as they now looked in the real world.
Tarou slowly pushed himself up, still looking around in awe. "This..." He glances down at himself and notices he has none of his possessions or clothing, aside from a plain white kimono, like the kind that they'd put on someone who passed away.
"...This must be the spirit world..."

Kokoro shook her had "I-Its fine, he didn't manage to do anything more than trying." A slight shiver ran down on her spine "But... please do understand that I still don't want to talk about it." Hearing what Minami said Kokoro gae a nod, trying to get her mind onto other things "Y-Yes, of course I wouldn't mind, as compensation I can help with the household a bit."

Rhylu at hearing the talk of a place to stay looks to Date and raises a eyebrow considered what he previously proposed, wondering if he planned for him to stay here, the tavern, ect. Waiting till his look is clearly caught before continuing.
"Date, would you object to me healing you?" He questions to him, being the only one with issues.
Path to Sonome
Ren gives a half-smile, rubbing his shoulder some more to comfort Yoshiki. "Well I can't exactly say what this means... If I was to guess some of Mana's and I's power got transferred into you. Your be okay though, just some unusual things could happen till it fades.""Since when did you become the expert in my incantations?"
"Since you leave your tome out in the open every night."
"Hmpth, you say till it fades any idea how long that will be Know it all brother of mine."
Ren twitches are how annoyed she was, he could feel it literally but shake sit off. "No Mana..."

Kotone slinks torward the door, seemingly unnoticed, until a callused hand belonging to Sasuke gently turns her around, sending her into a confused little pirouette across the floor."My bad." he says, before resting a hand gently on Tenzo's back.
Kotone eventually stops when she bumps into Pol's blue-dressed side, earning her an amused smirk.
The sorceress then quietly nods to Tenzo and Sasuke, "Looks like the two of you have a bit of walking to do, perhaps more than you're bargaining for, if my guess is worth anything. Would you like some company?"
"I'm as free as the dust in the solar wind."
Tavern
"I guess it couldn't hurt." Tenzo answers Polgara, smiling slightly when Sasuke puts a hand on his bare back. He walks out of the tavern with them.
Sonome Tavern
Polgara smiles, "Lovely." She pulls a red cloak out from beneath the bar, from a cubby much too small to hold it and wraps it around her shoulders. Seeing the lonely look given to her by Kotone, she reaches down and picks up the little ottergirl, placing her on her shoulder, "Someone is a bit heavier than they appear.""It comes from a strict diet of...not stealing fisherman's catches and destroying their nets in the process and then not sneaking sake when no one is looking. Anyone who says otherwise is a lying liarpants."
"Naturally."
Sasuke simply shakes his head and holds out his hand toward the stairwell. After a manner of moments, his dark wood staff careens into his grasp. He gently pushes the door open and leads the group outside.

Fuyume has seemingly vanished into the aether.
Mira, however, is still around and glances at Yamada with a hint of worry. ".. You're sure you're okay?"
En Route to Sonome
A small white .. creature(?) darts up the path to Sonome. It's moving pretty fast, making it hard to make out what it is- but it seems to have a very thin body and bushy tail. It's about the size and build of a stoat, truth be told.

Tenzo walks silently for a couple minutes, being rather awkward with people whom he feel are still strangers to some extent. "So..." He starts, not really sure of what to talk about. "Mind telling me about yourselves?"
Tavern
Nairube yawns and downs a little more alcohol, eyeing the room calmly, if somewhat suspiciously. He's never been the kind for crowds, but that was more the fighting he had to go through more than anything else.
Yamada, meanwhile, nods and straightens himself up in an effort to show that all was well, but at a certain point he falters a little. What's more, something catches his senses far off, in the direction of the temple, but it's weak. Like something or someone has simply slipped the veil between this one and the next, nothing more.
Koneko, if she notices, says nothing but sits at the bar bashfully, her head visible over the counter, but that's about it.
That's just how it is on this bitch of an earth

By this point, Nanaka has desublimated (I guess you could say he deposited?) and is serving customers at the bar.
Mira doesn't press Yamada any further.

The white creature makes it's way through town, apparently towards the tavern, narrowly avoiding getting stepped on all the way.

"Some of your power...?" Yoshiki starts. He thinks for a moment before he decides on displaying and eager smile. "Ooh, I don't mind. That's really cool! Does that mean I can do magicky stuff!?" He asks, not seeming bothered by the idea whatsoever.
As he looks forward, be spots the tint thing running towards the village. "...Huh?"
Blacksmith Hut
"Oh, I do not think that will be necessary. But, if you really want to, I am sure my mother and the maids would not mind extra help. This is wonderful." Minami says, beaming and clasping her hands in joy. "I will go and get things settled with Mother right away. I will be back soon, excuse me." Minami concludes with a bow before taking her leave for now.
Date chuckles. "Well, that worked out well." He looks back to Rhylu as he hears the boy speak up. "Healing me? Well...I'm not certain how much luck you'll have, but...I see no harm in trying."
Spirit World
Sonome Temple
Once Tarou gets over his initial shock, he finally takes a step forward. Easy enough. He slowly depends the stairs, glancing around at his surroundings all the while. "This is...unheard of...a human doing a full crossing. Or at least, I thought it was..."
As his foot connects with the cool stone at the walkway at the base of the stairs, he stops, feeling a sudden pang of something, his form seeming to flicker momentarily. He takes a quick step to the side and glances down. "I know that feeling anywhere..."
Tarou takes a deep inhales and closes his eyes briefly before opening them again, a faint glow to his eyes, signalling the use of ho spirit sense. Right next to him along the path and back through Sonome, he can see a trail of dark energy. It's really faint, but definitely apparent. "Unmistakable. That is the shard...now, time to see where it's gone..."

Kokoro bowed happily "Thank you Minami." She looked to Date and Rhylu "If you would allow Master, I would now be continuing my work until Minami is back." Should nobody say anything she would indeed start continuing the leftover work from yesterday, seemingly now less agitated than before.

Tarou makes his way over to a large tree, ascending it's trunk with a bit of effort. He couldn't quite explain why, but his body felt...weaker. None of his powers, aside from his senses, seemed to be functioning either. It was curious and concerning...but hopefully, he wouldn't be here long enough to matter.
Once he pulls himself up, he looks out over the horizon, his eyes sharp enough to see the lands of Chikiyumi and the capital city, Eto, in the far distance. A black aura surrounds him briefly as he taps into his demon blood, allowing him to "feel" the shard's energies a bit easier. "...The trail... it's nearly indiscernible but...it's headed off in the direction of Eto. Well, there's a small lead at least...I need to go inform the others of my discovery..."

Rhylu steps over and positions himself centered to Date, placing both of his hands upon his chest, forming a triangle with his thumbs and index fingers. "Try to hold still alright. I'm not really used to healing other peoples wounds. I should have enough power though."With this unless stopped, he closes his eyes and begins to focus. A shimmer of magic flows over him, with a very very bright light. Bright enough most would likely need to squint or avert their eyes. His hair turning silvery white and a rune forms around the joined hands. A silver rune the outside that of the moon, the inside of which almost trapped is the sun. Rhylu channeling his own divine essence, similar that to a true deity in a effort to heal Date.
Throughout all of this, his cursed blade has a similar light shine out of his scabbard faintly.

"Perhaps, with our essense you might be able to perform some." Ren muses with a smile."Yeah right, Magic is a powerful and complicated art. it takes ages to study, learn and master."
"He could always start studying, might learn something small."
"Pfft, doubt he would have the attention-span to learn such in any reasonable time."
"That's not very- huh.." Ren blinks and stops bickering with Mana, seeing the same thing Yoshiki did.

Kokoro started to work again, doing whatever still needed to be done, clearly happy to be able to work a bit more.
Should Date allow Rhylu to heal him she'd look up from her work, but as the light came she had to shield her eyes as she nearly let her hammer fall in surprise, altough she managed to get ahold of it again and did not actually hurt herself. She looked as Rhylu healed Date.

Kotone shyly peeks back toward Tarou, then at the arriving group, seemingly calming down a bit.Polgara smiles gently around the establishment and pats Tarou's shoulder before momentarily heading back into the kitchen, returning second later with a beautifully roasted goose and several sides. She sets these down and arranges some plates beside it, gesturing for people to eat, "I could also try my hand at something. I haven't dealt with this sort of issue before, but I have dealt with demons, though that's more my father's area of expertise..." she begins carving the goose, "I will say this. It is sometimes better to make do with what we have within us, than try and remove the 'problem'. They can be a surprising asset, if they can be understood and somehow reigned back a bit."
Sasuke simply nods and sighs, "I...suppose we will simply have to be cautious... I could consult a local priest, should every other option evade us and you want results... but the man I have in mind is...harsh." he takes a small plate of goose.
