This feels little awkward to ask, but I've been little uneasy about this subject with all rather threatening sounding news of different new malicious content lying around the web. I've been rather curious about could TV tropes be a page that could have incerted malicious stuff aroun outside of some external links inserted by users and commercials of the site (which I've heard stuff about, but I always use Adblock and Noscript). One thing I've noticed is that TV tropes seems to have some hits on Virustotal. https://www.virustotal.com/en-gb/domain/tvtropes.org/information/

This might sound paranoid, but I like to be secure when browsing vast internet sites like this, tough I don't want to doubt site's webmasters doing their best to keep things secure :)

Our site can only have user contributions in the form of text and images. These are not attack vectors. There may be malfunctioning or malicious ads served through our advertising partners, but that has nothing to do with tvtropes.org specifically, and can happen to any site.
