Identical Footnotes on the same page?

I'm updating the character list for a webcomic I read with the cameo characters readers have sponsored, as a personal project. I'm trying to save page space and avoid non-canon clutter by listing their sponsors with a footnote next the name, but I'm finding duplicate footnates do not work properly.

If I have two footnotes saying "Created by <Insert name>", only the first works. This is a problem, as some readers have sponsored multiple cameos.

A workaround is to change the wording slightly, but the point of this is standardizing the entries. There a way around this? Is it a bug?

Known bug. If you're using regular notes you can kind of work around it by using labelnotes that display as "note", but even that doesn't work if you need more than two. Easiest thing is probably just not to use notes for this

Another way around it is to add spaces around your tags for some but not others:

[[note]]text[[/note]] vs. [[note]] text[[/note]] vs. [[note]]text [[/note]]

I believe these will all open separately.

Cheers. Good workaround.
