Locking pending backlog resolution. The amateur nature of most fanfic makes this much more likely than other kinds of work, so I am triaging this as a low priority sort of thing.

Dead Fic is a The Same, but More Specific variant of Orphaned Series: "an unfinished work which happens to be a fanfic."
Looking at the example lists, I don't see anything which would really distinguish it from Orphaned Series. The opening paragraph claims that Dead Fic is about "an online fanfic whose chapters are spaced with wider updates each time (...) The death knell comes when, rather than simply coming out with a new chapter, the author just reassures the audience they haven't given up." However, this arbitrary restriction (limiting the trope to fanfics which petered out in one specific way) isn't really respected by all the examples, and I don't believe it makes the trope sufficiently unique.
My proposal is to move all examples from Dead Fic into Orphaned Series (possibly creating a new subpage OrphanedSeries.Fanfic), integrate potentially useful bits from Dead Fic's description into the description for Orphaned Series, and delete the page.
