So, there's an issue I see on occasion here, but I think this one in particular is the best representation of the issue:

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Series/Life

This page is for the TV series "Life". However, you notice there's also an entry for "Film", and "Manga", and "Webcomic". All of them are for works called "Life", even though every single work is completely separate and unrelated in any way, shape, or form whatsoever.

Has this been brought to the attention of the site devs? My main issue for this is that, if you jump into the alternate categories (WMG, Discussion, Headscratchers, etc.), it's a grab-bag for whatever work the users happen to be discussing, because it could very well be any and all of those works.

I can't say I have any great ideas for how to organize this a bit better, but it seems like kind of a big issue, and I would like to know that someone is looking into it.

...and I should really learn to read a bit before posting. I just checked out the FAQ for this forum, and one of them is a tutorial for how to "Soft Split" a page. So, apparently this very much is something the devs are aware of, but don't have a proper fix for the time being. Sad stuff.

Just think of this thread as you trying to live up to your troper handle. tongue

Seriously, there is a huge site overhaul in the works that is meant to address these issues. There's a number of threads about it, both here in Wiki Talk and over in Tech Wishlist. I suggest looking at each of them and reading up on it.
