I would like to add that I've written for this story for several years, and it's quite fun! We'd be thrilled for anyone to contribute even a single post for this project ^_^

Hello all!
For over 16 years now, I've written for an online, collaborative, absurdly mosh-posh story (unoriginally) called The Never-ending Story Thread (or Ne S for short, not to be confused with the Nintendo Entertainment System this post wants to link). It sometimes involves a group of so-called heroes defending life as we know it from various evils such as former Soviet spies, taxes, and the Plot itself. The story takes place in a world run not by real physics or logical rules, but by story conventions and tropes themselves.
Recently, two of the story's most prominent villains teamed up to support their evil goals, and their scheme involves bribing writers to post in their favor. You can read the story post here:

The short is that I'm looking for some writers to mix things up a bit, and I'm paying people a little to do so. And, of course, to have fun while doing so! After all, it's a goofy story where plot is literally and more literally the enemy, so you can't mess it up. :)
Some frequently asked questions below:
Q.) What if I haven't read anything? I don't want to mess it up.
A.) Most writers didn't read anything when they started. We've literally tried ruining the Ne S before. It was some of the better parts of Ne S.
Q.) But what if I'm the special snowflake that actually messes the story up?
A.) Then I will personally give you additional kudos.
Q.) I feel bad for taking your money in exchange for trash.
A.) Not a question, but OK. I want it regardless. One person's trash is another's treasure. Story posts are my treasures.
Q.) No, really, I don't want the money.
A.) Then donate it to charity. Or a friend. Whatever floats your S.S. Special Snowflake.
Q.) So how do I register?
A.) The registration process has to be manually approved by yours truly at this time. All I need is your preferred username, preferred e-mail address, and date of birth e-mailed to gebohq@gmail.com, and I can set you up with an account and temporary password.
I can answer any other questions or the like here as well. Thanks for listening! :)
