As much as I love Lady bug, I would like to see a little more of Marinette and Adrien.

Well, this show is, sadly, merchandise driven as it is, and yet, it is still good. Next season will definitely be better.

Wait what? I've not seen or heard of any merch, at all.

That what I heard they had to do to get network approval.

You mean like show the network they can make merch of LB and CN as well as the Akumas or something like that?

Well I haven't seen any merch either, but the money has to come from somewhere. For reference: Young justice had excellent ratings but it was canceled due to a lack of a successful toyline.

Fairly sure it was mainly the toy thing.

I've been rewatching some episodes and I just love how their Ladybug and Cat noir reverse their roles.

Marinette is very prone to be awkward, clumsy and she does funny faces. She is like Usagi in that sense. But as lady bug she is noticeable more serious and responsible and distant.

Adrien is backwards. He is serious and more distant. But as cat noir he is much more outgoing and a lot less serious. He even makes Cat puns.

I love that.

There is a new official Ladybug Youtube channel that just went up this week. It has webisodes 1-5 up. Which I don't believe have been shown before. Plus number 6 went up today. Which was already on the Nick Website I think.

Not sure if it's confirmed anywhere else. But it seems like the figuring out part of the Lucky Charm is all on Marinette. Which is neat.

Also apparently cocky guys who show off aren't Marinette's type according to the Bubbler webisode.

... The Marinette and Adrian short really shows how flawed Marinette is when it comes to Adrian. Her crush comes off as pretty unhealthy in it.

The Birthday one is also interesting in who Marinette considers her friends.

Yeah, It's a shame the webisodes do a better job fleshing them out than the show does. I mean the intro very first lines promises "a normal girl with a normal life." But falls a bit short. I would like to see more of it.

I would have cut some Hawkmoth's mandatory monologues and some of the lame villains for more moments with Marinnete not being Ladybug.

Watching Reflekta and I fell in love with Julika. She's my vision of a beautiful emo girl, and her akumatized look was like rubber. Still pretty.

i honestly i never liked slice of life episodes. their either filler or uninteresting for me but hey at least they give a chance of fleshing out a character.

If you're calling it filler in a negative sense, you're already saying it's uninteresting...

You remind of the Steven Universe fandom. Everyone wants gem action episodes. But this " filler" ( they aren't) episodes are very very important. They make the audience feel connected to the characters in a very deep spiritual way.

Slice of life makes the action episodes even better as you can see what's at stake and what the heroes fight for. Sadie an Lars have never fought a battle and yet I would feel bad if something happened to them.

Without slice of life We would only know about Steven and the gems.

Filler is a term for anime people wasting your time because the mangaka got behind . In contrast Slice of life isn't a waste of time.

For example My little pony is 90% slice of life and people love it.

i'm not trying to be rude, there are some slice of life episode that are really great and captivating and are far from filler. i prefer my slice of life episodes to be more action-y in a more mundane sense or basically mundane made awesome.

well because it's about the plot.

Slice of life =/= filler.

But are most plots worth the time?

It's not like Miraculous Ladybug isn't void of filler. Only Volpina, Origins, and maybe Pharaoh advance the plot.

I said I wanted more slice of life. I didn't say I wanted filler.
