Ben glanced over at Thomas. "Well, Plague Knight was here last I thought," he muttered. "Lune's gone too. This could be Lune's as well. Neither of them are responding, so either they died or they're really busy. Considering what happened and the fact that both of them are there and now they're not, I'm thinking they both died and dropped their stuff." Upon Caro pointing out how poor this day was for choosing a new HQ, he nodded solemnly. "Yeah, you're right, Caro," he replied. "And I don't think I have the strength to take out an entire fleet of ships by myself. Not after fighting the vulture. I'm too tired..." he sighed.

"Besides. They're not hurting anyone besides each other, I don't think." He rubbed his face slightly, wincing a little. Lewis addressed him as "the young man with the hero complex", which made his eye twitch a bit. "It's not a hero complex, I'm a real he—" He stopped himself, then sighed, putting a hand to his forehead with visible frustration on his face. "Uh, you talking about Cole? I haven't seen him. He likes to disappear," he muttered.

Silanea didn't seem impressed with Sans' explanation at first, but eased up a little as he went on, then looked at Curly. "Well... I suppose I shouldn't be mad if you weren't trying to insult me... Back in my home world, using a shield as part of one's symbol was something humans did. And they had a lot of... Colorful comparisons to make between my people and snakes" Silanea explained to her, then looked back at Sans.

"The idea that the symbol should have something to do with me has come up before, and while some are okay with it, others in the group thought basing it off me would be... Unfair" Silanea mentioned to him.

Meanwhile, Thomas took a moment to find his words, turning his eyes away from Ben briefly. "I-if, they were in here when the fighting started, but aren't here now, then I don't think... they, made it. I'm, I'm sorry Ben, but like I said things seemed to be going pretty badly for a while there" Thomas mentioned to Ben apologetically.

Viola I Prison I Pragmatic

... Well. The Doctor is certainly the practical sort. I was a bit taken aback by the sudden sound of a gunshot before he and a couple of the militia went out of the transport. Looks like someone was unfortunate enough to be either effectively crippled or is already in a near-death state.

Any normal person would be shocked and terrified by what had transpired. Not me, though. Still, it doesn't stop me from trying to feign a look of utter disbelief for a brief moment before slowly giving up midway. If asked, I could just explain away that I've gotten used and come to terms with the horrors of the City. How unfortunate of me.

And now, it's time for the cat to be treated. Still playing the part of a concerned girl, I tugged the sleeve of the militia who was watching over me just now and asked him in a worried tone. "Hey... they won't try to do anything to the cat, right?"

I tried to put as much sincerity as I can to that question.

Library - Cultural differences

"Ah. Well, I think it'd at least be pretty easy for people here to recognize and associate with your group since as the leader you're probably the most public figure... But I don't know anything about your people, or your humans for that matter" Curly said, trying to shrug off the apparent near insult and the fact that as an outsider to both Silanea's world and the anti-human group she didn't have much context to work with. As it was, she wouldn't be surprised if the average non-human probably thought she was human.

The woman seemed distraught, not just by him, but by more things. There seemed to be a lot of things bothering her, but it was hard to pick them out...hard to hear her pain over his own, over what parts of her's tied in to his. But he...he had to try, didn't he?

"...it was just a mistake..." Ara would hear him murmur, not trying to pull loose of the hug, sniffling a bit as he spoke. "You wanted to help, wanted to protect us...to stop the demon. It...it would have been easier if there weren't other people around to think about, to get in the way of, to trip over. You'll...you'll learn from this. It's better to make the mistakes here, where death is not real, where it doesn't stick...this is a place you can use to learn. Try what works, and what does not. Don't blame yourself for learning. Just...just learn."

He slowly moved to sit up, though he also returned the hug as he did, just more or less using Ara to help him get to a sitting position, and then just sort of...slumped against her, face to her shoulder, whimpering softly. "D-does...does that help? I'm sorry...I'm...I'm trying...I promise I'm trying..."

Restaurant

Ah, the joy of work. It seemed like forever since his fingers last got a workout. Garrett got up and proceeded to casually stroll around the restaurant, in a most definitely non-suspicious way. But occasionally, while he passed near another patron, his hand made the most delicate of movements...

First he made a grab at one patron's bag of chewing tobacco. Frankly, they'll be better off without this stuff. Awful habit, that; gives one a bad breath.

Then he helped himself to a wallet that belonged to one of the patrons... or at least, it used to belong to him until Garrett caught sight of it.

There was no point in getting too greedy, so Garrett stole just one last thing, the bag of coins, before returning to the table. He'd examine his loot in greater detail once he was somewhere else, away from prying eyes.

The preteen was visibly offended at being accused of having a "hero complex", as though he apparently wasn't the hero he proclaimed to be. "Woah, woah. Calm down. It was my mistake, I apologize," Lewis backpedaled, holding his hands in front of him in his defense.

Hero Kid answered that he hadn't seen Cole around and that he liked to disappear a lot. "Oh. Well, thanks anyway.

"Friend of yours?" he added, looking at the other boy, a teenager, who had followed Hero Kid here.

Using a shield as an icon was a "human thing"? That was odd, did no other species in her world use shields or what? She did seem to come from a medieval world so that was a little curious, so were those comparations she was talking about but he could think of a few himself. Humans in her world seemed to be worse than the ones in his home, well, outside of that kid.

"well, you're the one calling the shots, so it sounds fair to me." Sans shrugged. "the only other option i can think of is writing the initials of whatever name we decide to use in the shield instead, or maybe just the term 'non-human', that's about as general as we can get."

Ben sighed, shrugging a little bit. "It's fine. I get that a lot," he muttered. Lewis asked if Thomas was his friend, and Ben nodded, gesturing to Thomas. "Yep. Name's Ben Tennyson, and this is Thomas. The two of us, and Caro, are all members of the City Knights, who are dedicated to stopping evil wherever it spreads!" Ben explained heroically. "That's why we had to fight Old Buzzard Face back there. He's been causing so much craziness here." He eyed Lewis up and down. "I uh, I think I saw you for a bit a couple days ago. I don't know if I've ever seen a skeleton with pink hair before," he chuckled a little. "Pink hair and a fancy suit. Whatcha dressed up for?" he asked.

Prison

"They're just trying to help him, don't worry" the militia member said to Viola, as meanwhile the needle was stuck into the Judge as Dave had instructed. Once the contents were injected, Dave looked at the Judge.

"Alright, now count backwards from ten" Dave told the Judge. The Judge would for the moment be feeling fine, but if he did as Dave instructed he'd get to about eight or seven before suddenly falling unconscious; even if he didn't try doing the counting down thing, he'd still be unconscious within a few seconds.

With that done, Dave moved on to treating Nails next, though wrapped that up quickly with instructions for them to use the same thing they'd used on the Judge. Next up was Viola; after a quick scan, Dave seemed rather unconcerned. "See? This is how things go when you remember your seat belt and then properly remain still after a crash; you're fine... Mostly" Dave said, giving a slight shrug before looking at the militia members. "Just get her a stretcher to move her on, then take her to a bed. Give her something easy on the stomach to eat, and some water, then she'll be right as rain after a good sleep" the doctor instructed them, getting some nods in return.

As Dave then moved on to the rest of those who had been in the crash, a couple of the militia members moved to the medical supplies and got one of the stretchers out. One of the two, the one who had been trying to comfort Viola so far, spoke to her as they carefully moved her onto the stretcher. "Let's see, stuff easy on the stomach... We've got some pudding, if you'd like that? We've got bread I think we can get toasted with some jam? Maybe a grilled cheese sandwich?" he offered to Viola.

Silanea looked to Sans again, her expression not really annoyed this time, but kind of a bit... Disappointed, in a way. "I'm not looking to be a tyrant, Sans. This group is supposed to be about all of us who feel persecuted by humans; I'm in charge because it was my idea and I'm the strongest among us" Silanea said, then sighed. "Now, making it the initials or just plain writing out our new group name is probably the best so far. It can't be that much more inconvenient than what we've got now" she mentioned, glancing at her bracelets that still had 'human' on them.

Meanwhile, Thomas frowned but didn't say anything out loud this time as Ben managed to ignore him again, then looked at Lewis. "Are you... A ghost? You seem kind of like ghosts from my world, though they're always blue, not pinkish-purple" Thomas commented.

Library - that took a wrong turn

Apparently Silanea took what he said the wrong way, he could see why she would see it that way but still, that was a few ways off. It was a little interesting how she didn't look annoyed by that, but more like disappointed. It was also curious that she was apparently the strongest out of everyone in the group, even the big dude, it did make him wonder a little how he measured compared to her in a fight.

"i... uh... didn't mean to imply that. i'm just sayin' that, well, you're the boss, you're the one who started the group and apparently you're the strongest. to me it sounds fair the symbol has you in it since you're pretty much the face of the group," he explained himself, scratching his cheek a little bit as things had gotten a little awkward, "but yeah, that does sound like the best way to handle it, guess that's settled then."

He then remembered Caro was probably still waiting for him and he kinda wanted to be able to enjoy what was left of the day with her, after all you can never tell what's gonna happen the next day.

"so, if there's nothing else to be discussed, i have a friend waiting on me over there and i don't wanna live her waiting," said Sans, gesturing over to where Caro was.

Unless Silanea said something about it, Sans would then walk over to where Caro was.

Cinema - Into the fray

"Huh? Yeah, sure." Jack smiled and nodded at Lothric's request, moving around to behind the man's chair. He paused for a moment, then lifted Twinetender over Lothric's head and put it down on his lap. "Uh, could you hold this for me? It's a bit hard to hold it and push at the same time."

Nodding to the man wishing them luck, Jack started to wheel Lothric towards the airlock nearest the ships. He froze mid-step as someone called out to him. Using his name. A grin spread across his face, equal in size to the one the Fanboy that called out had. He looked back over his shoulder at them, "Oh I plan to!"

Laughing a bit, the spirit wheeled Lothric into the air-lock and sealed the first door behind them. Handing the man a helmet, Jack placed one on his own head; A familiar suit appearing instantly. He peered out the airlock at the closest ship. "Alright, I think we're going to have to leave your wheelchair behind. Sorry."

Library - A fight for another day

When Lewis brought up why more of them didn't the goggles earlier, Caro said, "Well, Sans asked for something like this a little before the demon appeared, but things got hectic pretty quickly and he wasn't able to get them more people, I think ... The only other one who had a pair was the militia leader, but I think he got taken out as well ... "

Ben conceded that today was not the best day go searching for a place to set up a HQ in and there didn't seem to be much of a point in trying to engage in the huge space war out there.

To this, she said, "Indeed. The warning we were giving earlier, which should have been heard all across through the radio, noted that as long as people stayed put in and didn't venture out in ships, they should be left alone. In anycase, we don't even have an idea of what the goal would be. Would we have to take out most of the fleet? Take out a major ship? I mean, I haven't even had the chance to find out what the reward would even be this time ... " She sighed a bit, before continuing, "This is one battle we most likely we can't win ... It would be best to conserve our energies for what is to come tomorrow ... "

She glanced at the bag next to her for a moment, before gesturing towards the bag, saying, "On that note, is anyone else hungry or tired even? This stuff gets absorbed pretty much instantly, so it should help you recover energy pretty quickly," she then turned to face Ben specifically, adding, "I wouldn't advise the Sea Tea for you though. It's pretty salty and I had a major sugar rush after I tried it. We're about the same age, right? It would probably have the same effect on you ... "

The Library — Does he look like a bitch?

While Eve's and Rex's conversation was going on, Sans, Silanea, and Curly were having a discussion of their own about what the anti-humans' symbol should be. Eventually, the snake-woman explained that she was in charge because she was the strongest of the anti-humans. Nevermind that she was probably exaggerating (kind of hard to fight without legs), Rex wanted to deal with a certain alien pilot that had been part of her group.

"Give me a second" he told Eve, as he left to where Silanea was.

"You were chosen because of your strength? That explains a lot. Anyway, I want to know about the guy that shot Eve. So, if you could tell me his name or something I could use..."

Library - I Suppose There's No Way Around It

Well, Ben accepted the apology, though he still seemed to not like having that particular exchange for what was apparently the thousandth time. Setting that aside, he then introduced himself and the young man Thomas, and brightened as he proudly presented the City Knights, consisting of the two of them and Caro out to Fight Evil. "That's why we had to fight Old Buzzard Face back there. He's been causing so much craziness here."

"Is that what that thing's called?" Lewis noted. "I can..." He glanced to the side aimlessly for a moment, visibly hurt by something. "I can see what you mean about it causing chaos."

Ben then asked what the suit was for.

The suit. He'd gotten used to it at this point. When had he last thought about it, actually? He assumed it was there because people were normally buried in suits, but mentioning that meant bringing his death into the conversation. That...didn't strike him as something he wanted to discuss with a 10 year old he'd just met, not to mention he'd probably end up having to clarify that the suit was probably due to cultural bleed rather than something he'd been wearing, and that he had most likely not been given a proper burial but instead been left to rot in some abandoned mine in the middle of nowhere.

But before he could fabricate some half-truth about it being for a date, Thomas asked if he was a ghost, as in his universe ghosts tended to look like he did. Well, there was no hiding it now.

He sighed. "Yes. I am. I don't suppose the ones where you come from have burial suits either?"

Caro explained that Sans had requested goggles to give to everyone but had no time to distribute them before things went pear-shaped. He didn't really have anything to say to that besides "Oh." She then concurred with Ben that there was no chance of setting up a City Knights HQ with the day challenge raging. Speaking of the day challenge, they didn't even know what the objective or reward were, so they probably wouldn't be able to tackle the challenge anyway.

"The Death Star?" he pondered out loud. Given the space theme it certainly seemed like something to be blown up.

Caro offered some food that would apparently metabolize instantly. Not that he'd bring it up, but it was a faint reminder of his little discovery at the buffet two days ago. Maybe if he just stuffed it down his neck...Whatever. It's not like he needed it. "No thanks, I'm fine."

Silanea let Sans go without further comment, then glanced over at Rex with an annoyed expression. "What's that supposed to..." Silanea trailed off, nearly yawning, and then shook her head. "I'm too tired for your idiocy right now. The one you're looking for is called Rega 'Sattinee; he said that in his world, his people and humans were locked in some kind of religious war that would likely end in genocide" she explained to Rex.

"And you didn't see this guy being a problem at all? Seriously?" Fastanook asked incredulously.

"In my world, humans are looking to genocide my people and are using religious excuses. I didn't see him as being that different from me" Silanea answered him, now sounding irritated.

"Un-freaking-believable" Fastanook muttered, shaking his head.

Meanwhile, as Caro wondered just what the goal of the fight outside would be, Thomas looked outside through the windows for a moment, then pointed at the Death Star; dwarfing everything else around it and filling up a significant portion of the night sky from here, it was the rather obvious choice. Then he looked back towards the others and raised an eyebrow at Lewis. "Burial suits? All the ones I know of wear whatever they'd been wearing when they died" Thomas answered him in return with a simple shrug. Thomas then took a few moments to blink wearily and sniff, clearly getting quite tired.

Militia's prison HQ

"You can just call me Larry" the militia member answered Viola as he and the other one carried her off into the prison. Thankfully, the prison cells weren't the only places in there with beds, as there was a rec area intended for the guard staff; this included a room with a couple rows of beds, which were admittedly still rather simple and plain as far as beds go, but they were at least more comfortable than the prison cell cots. It was one of these beds that they carefully moved Viola onto.

"Okay, you just sit tight, and I'll be right back" Larry told her, and headed out. He was gone for more than five minutes, trying to find what had been offered, and in the meantime Viola would see other unconscious members of the militia and the Judge getting carried into the room and placed on the beds; except for the Judge, whom they instead found an extra pillow for and just placed him on top of it on the floor. Finally Larry returned, carrying a tray with a chocolate pudding cup and plastic spoon, a clear plastic cup of water, and a pill. "The doctor said that if you're feeling any pain still, or having trouble falling asleep, just take this pill" the militia member explained to her, then asked, "do you know how to swallow a pill with water?"

Ara Haan (Grocery Store) - Completely Unexpected

"......"

I didn't respond to what he said right away; not because it was particularly difficult to find the words, but because I just... wasn't expecting that. I didn't expect Cole to know exactly what I was struggling with without even so much as mentioning it. But the fact that he knew, combined with what he said... it felt as if he'd lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. It took me some time to notice I'd started smiling, and a bit more to respond to him.

"That means a lot to me," I assured him. "Thank you. Now, if you're okay with it, I... think I know how to help you recover a bit faster."

Eun interjected right away, though.

'Ara... are you pondering what I think you are pondering?'

'Does it bother you? I can take it back if it bothers you.'

'I do not mind. But are you certain that this is a good idea?'

'It'll take only a little while. It should be fine, I think.'

Viola I Prison I Bed Sweet Bed

So the man's name is Larry? How very... forgettable.

And so, I was brought to the room where I will be resting for the day. I was expecting rough bedding and dreary surroundings, being a prison, so I was pleasantly surprised by this. The room must be reserved for the guards, then.

Still think they could've make the rooms more accommodating, though. Oh well.

Larry went out to grab something while the others from the crash are brought here as well. He returned a few minutes later, bringing with him a tray with the pudding, a glass of water and a pill. He then talked about what the pill is for and wondering if I know how to swallow it with water.

How distressing. I never imagined that I'll be needing medicine again this soon.

"Don't worry. I've swallowed pills before," Too many times than I care to remember, in fact. "But I don't think I'll be needing it. Today has been a tiring day for me, so I'll be sleeping soon enough."

... That said, I grabbed the pudding on the tray and took a spoonful out of it.

Library - Weariness Across the Board

Thomas seemed to find the whole detail about the suits odd. "Ah...Didn't think so. I just assumed it was some sort of...cultural seep, I guess you could call it."

Speaking of Thomas, he just happened to be pointing at the very obvious Death Star the ghost had been wondering about. "Yeah that. It's called a Death Star. I don't know if it's weaker here, but in its world it could destroy planets with a single concentrated beam. If anything's the objective for the day challenge, it's that.

"Though it doesn't look like anyone'll be getting around to it," he observed, as Ben went off to hit the hay. Thomas didn't have the most focused gaze himself. There was no way any of these guys were gonna tackle that.

Sans came over, voicing the same general sentiments. Oh right. He was still in the building. One might observe the emergence of a Death Glare as Lewis looked in his general direction without turning. Now that they were somewhere with air he had a few choice words for the stout skeleton. But there were people here, ones that the guy seemed to be on good terms with. It wouldn't help his case to start anything here. But the urge was overwhelming...

"You..."
