So it's time for my least favorite subject: My aged, hamster-powered PC...which is an Windows 8. If you heard this story before, then you'll know where this is going: The controversial 8.1 update. Now, someone will ask why I'm against this. It's rather simple really; in my neophobic nature, I'm afraid that 8.1 will hamper my PC's performance to the point where it'll run slower than usual.

Don't believe me? Well the hardware itself is nearly 3 years old, it's no secret that this update crashed an unspeakable number of laptops, and did I mention that it's automatic?

So right now, it just tried to update itself again and I think it found a way to stop it a few days ago(I'll do it on a day when I'm not busy). But still, I'm kinda of curious how reliable these updates are if they keep forcing themselves onto you until you install the out of frustration and they wind up crashing your aged machine.

...And now I'm done.

Locking as complaint thread. We have a topic for general computer stuff.
