CoLC crossover RP, discussion

Alright, with that post I'm gonna go ahead and get going for tonight. I actually didn't end up hanging out with my friend today, but tomorrow it's more likely to happen. But before that is work and such, of course; the shift is the same length but starts and ends a little later, but after that I'm going to go to the chiropractor, so I'll probably be a while later getting on. I'm not sure how long though.

Now, my particular plan for tomorrow, since my weekend is finally starting and I can stay up late, is that I'll see about making a post to respond to stuff once I'm back from the chiropractor; after that I'll see if I can't hang out with my friends at all, so I might vanish until later in the night. Once I'm done with that though, my plan is to make a post that will finally be moving the day along a bit more. Not just straight up skipping ahead to the end, but certainly pushing it that way.

And one last thing before I go, my work schedule for next week before I forget to mention it: Much easier than this week, (though also not as many hours as I want. =/) I have moderate length early shifts Tuesday and Wednesday, a moderate evening shift Thursday, then a somewhat shorter morning shift Saturday. So, nothing should be especially disruptive to my posting except Tuesday, and maybe Monday.

Anyway, how long does someone have to be inactive before we can do a hand wave?

I suppose Eve and Calvin are both having a moment and Arcade's gonna have to drag them around with Calvin's wagon. For some reason just that image amuses me.

Since I haven't been on much in the past few days, would someone kindly give me a brief recap of what's happened?

Here now, fully recapped. I'll try to have a post up in not too long to respond to stuff, though there doesn't seem to be much in that regard. Just going to check on some things first.

@astrokitty: Shrimp restaurant / bathroom group has now been split up since the Skin-walker impersonated Hobbes and killed Arcade. Those who left the bathroom directly are now looking for a place to lay low being led mainly by Jack Frost and Hobbes. Otherwise, Sans left with Cole after the latter showed up, and has since reunited with Caro.

Meanwhile the Grinch is just casually standing around the radio wondering why the nice man isn't coming through anymore.

Alright, with that post I think I better call it done on posting for the night. I'm slowly losing ability to keep cohesive thought going and am gonna be going to bed real soon. Tomorrow I'm sleeping in with no alarm set, so I'm not sure when I'll be getting on; possibly later than I got on today.

Given that I want to wait longer to give wikkit a chance to post for Seiga, and there isn't really anything else for me to respond to in other scenes yet, I'm going to go ahead and not worry about posting, at least for now. I'm going to check on some things and see if any of my friends are online and check back in now and then. I'll probably think of something to post later. (Or there will be stuff for me to respond to by then.)

EDIT: Well, got distracted hanging out with friends for much longer than I expected. Sorry to leave without another post, but at the moment the only scene I can really think to post for is the Balloon stand one and it'd just be Tommy and See cowering away from Yoshika and sticking with Jack. Also I'm getting a bit too tired to keep up coherent thought for much longer.

I'm sleeping in again tomorrow, but since I'm getting to bed a bit earlier tonight I might be up a bit earlier as well. I don't have any specific plans for tomorrow, but I might go see a movie, and more hanging out with my friend is likely later in the night.

EDIT: Sorry guys, I meant to have that post up sooner but I got distracted by an unexpected project which took much longer than I thought it would. Tomorrow of course I can't stay up late due to the early shift Tuesday, so I'm gonna be taking it easy in terms of other stuff going on; so while I won't be online for relatively long, I should be a bit more available while I am on.

Also, I didn't bother putting anything for the balloon cart group because Tommy and Seirwuosuhr still don't have anything to add.

Stuff has been happening at home, have I missed anything really important and how much have I missed?

a LOT. Though the only really important things right now involves Yoshika's Character Development and the discovery of an actual end goal for the day (collecting pages depicting the major monsters at different landmarks).

Here now, fully recapped. I'm gonna check on some things before I decide on what I could post yet. There doesn't seem to be a lot for me to respond to at the moment, and I wouldn't want to move on some of the scenes without giving some people more time to get a chance to post before I do.

@Echoing Silence: Pretty much what Ud said; in fact you've been pretty much missing all of Day 13 so far.

School came in and then I started looking for a job again.

@Echoing Silence: Yeah I've been feeling the pressures of real life lately, so no worries. Especially last week, though it has eased up since then and I'm trying to relax my stressed out nerves.

Anyway, I should get going for tonight. Tomorrow is the day that will be the most disruptive to my posting this week due to work, so in the vein of trying to take things easy I'm not going to rush myself to post after I get home, and I might not try for more than one post. That said, depending on how well I sleep tonight and thus how much resting I need to do after work, I'll probably be getting online sometime around the same time I did today, give or take a while.

Here now, fully recapped. I didn't sleep well last night and I didn't catch much rest after work either, so I might go try to pass out for a little bit one more time sometime later. Right now though, I'm feeling that odd sort of awake tired where I'm definitely tired but don't quite feel like I could fall asleep, so I figured I might as well boot up the computer, check on some things, and maybe think about posting before laying in bed again.

If I don't have a post up within the next hour or two though, that means I probably got too tired and went back to bed before finishing it.

EDIT: Alright, and like I mentioned before I'm gonna go ahead and get going without worrying about another post. Tomorrow's shift ends at the same time today's did, but if I can get better sleep maybe I'll be able to be on earlier; I'll also be able to stay up late tomorrow night.

Posting on phone: Well, I think I know why I couldn't sleep well the other night; I think I'm getting sick. I'm not sure exactly, because although I woke up early feeling like I was going to throw up, I still have not yet, even after drinking some water on the idea that once I get it over with I'll feel better. Also according to my thermometer, I'm not running a fever.

But, regardless the manager in charge let me take the day off, which is nice because my stomach feels like someone used it as their personal punching bag. So now I'm laying in bed, gonna sip on a ginger ale and try to catch some more sleep. I'm sorry to say that I'm not sure when I'll be getting on my computer.

I return on my computer now; I fell asleep for a while, not sure how long since I'm not sure how long I was laying there awake, but I feel much better now. I can tell there's still something funky going on, so I best be taking it easy in terms of what I try to eat, but at least I'm not in a lot of pain now.

Anyway, I'm going to check on some things and then see about trying to post, though that's probably going to involve thinking for a while; after all I haven't been able to do my usual "think on it while at work" thing what with the whole waking up in pain and going back to sleep that just happened. So it might be a while, is what I'm saying.

EDIT: Well, and now I should get going for tonight. Tomorrow is an evening shift, so unless I have to take the day off again I won't be on until a fair deal later than I was on today; right around four hours later is my guess, give or take a bit.

Welp, found out on the way out of work that starting tomorrow I'm working 10 hour shifts, Monday through Saturday, instead of the usual 40 hours. If the grapevine is correct that's just until the end of the month, which means just one 60 hour week and two single day weekends, but officially the word is just that it's starting tomorrow.

On the plus side, they're at least being upfront about it this time, instead of the whole "You're gonna work 10 hour shifts, but at least you'll get your 4-day holiday weekend! I mean 3 day, I mean just the normal weekend that the holidays are really on, actually you only get Sunday off" game they were doing in December. And supposedly the big project that's been keeping us super busy should be over around the end of the month, so less likely they'll feel the need to mandate overtime in Feb^* at least that's good news as long as things don't slow down enough people start getting laid off

Should still be able to keep up with the RP since I can check phone during breaks, just means I won't have as much time to do more than a post a day.

Here now, fully recapped; I forgot about something I wanted to grab at the grocery after work today, and then that I should do laundry once I got home, so that stop and getting laundry started made me a bit later than I was expecting last night.

@Blitz Train: Sorry to hear, and good luck with that.

As for myself, I actually have good news on that same topic vein. So my manager found out she was mistaken before; if I want medical benefits from work, I don't need to get more hours, but instead promote into a management position. This would likely mean real life taking even more out of my free time and ability to post, so after talking about the situation with my mom for a while, it's been decided that there are better options for me that don't involve real life doing that to me. I am now no longer looking at taking a huge hit to my free time within the next three months; in fact everything for me should stay pretty much the same as it has been. So that has been an enormous relief off my shoulders.

Plus the fact that my stomach is feeling much better today, I'm feeling rather revitalized. Now, if I could just get work to stop giving me fewer hours than I want, life would be really great. (Not having just about nothing but inconvenient early shifts would be good too, but one step at a time, methinks.) So, let's see about getting this dark day wrapped up and moved on to greener pastures soon.

I'm going to check on some things and then get to work on a post. I am a bit distracted with laundry going at the moment, so it could be a while until the post's up. After that I will likely be hanging out with a friend tonight.
