I haven't caught the last couple episodes yet but I am hearing people call for Iok's head on a stick. Come on people, death is letting the over bred son of a lemming off easy.

I'm personally hoping a scenario where the situation is reversed and he tries to surrender to Tekkaden. Instead of a case of karmic death he gets imprisoned, and his records get "accidentally misfiled" so he gets transferred to general population in a max security prison where several of the inmates are old friends and/or In-laws of Naze. Including his cellmate.

Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.

Iok's really very easy to understand. He's a guy who's never needed to be competent in his life working with a legendary war hero who firmly believes in meritocracy, and his repeated failures at proving himself to Rustal have made him more and more desperate. He couldn't let the Turbines surrender because he sees Rustal as a paragon of martial glory, just like Julietta does, and believes the only way to gain his favour is to fight and win.

The Irony, of course, is that Rustal is deeply uncool with the whole thing, and would much rather that his loyal subordinates take a chill pill rather than destroying themselves to impress him. He rewards merit, but doesn't scorn the meritless, and nobody in his inner circle quite seems to grasp the second bit.

I hope Iok is dead. I've never hated a character so much.

[up] Iaculus

I think the best revenge we can get is if Iok goes to Rustal all proud of what he did only to get a Bright Slap and a cool-but-heated "You fucked up royally." Lecture.

Like if Rustal heard how it all went down, he may not care for Iok's methods, especially balantly using forbidden weapons.

Weapons that any of his subordinates could end up if their consciousness catches up to them, report what happened and BOOM!! Iok's entire scheme could be undone and suddenly there's a big blight on House Kujan and by extension Rustal for not keeping a tighter leash on Iok.

But tis probably a pipe dream.

The reason Iok is attacking the Turbines like this is because of his misplaced grudge. He has no beef with the Turbines, but has been convinced that he does. All of this is related to him waking up the Mobile Armor and his men sacrificing themselves so he could get away. He later tried to ruin their efforts and almost committed suicide. Then after the Mobile Armor's destruction and him trying to call Mc Gillis out for something he was not guilty of It led to Rustal scolding him. Somehow he warped this around to blaming Mc Gillis and his allies Tekkaden for his faults. Then Jasely pointed him at the Turbines saying they were the power behind Tekkaden.

Naze and Amida will be missed. At least they went down kicking. sad

Also, fuck you Iok. I kinda hope he survived because a quick death is too good for that piece of shit. If he ends up disgraced and broken that would be a proper punishment. It's seriously been some time since I felt such hate for any character.

I have not hated a Gundam villain as much as I have Iok since...

Ummmm...okay, y'know what? Fuck it, he's topped out Glemmy Toto and Ribbons at this point.

The final request from Naze to McMurdo is callback to his conversation with Orga... It's true ironic callback, Naze ultimately pay for orga's action with his life (even indirectly) because Jasley demand it.

Until this episode Iok is sort of a Manchild who cause damage and death because of stupidity, but it was innocent stupidity so there were very faint hope of him to develope into better person. But he cross Moral Event Horizon from being simply "idiot" to "idiot and asshole" now.

Full of action, tension, and depression. It's slaughter, and Tekkadan's rescue is more of relieve than awesomeness.

That being said, Amida easily pull the best pilot feat in this whole series, no doubt. And I'm pretty sure Julietta has realized about her crushing defeated. Really big surprise, I thought they will make this to promote Julia gunpla, but despite put up a good fight it's clear that she stand no chance against Amida.

Now, I wish that the news of Idiok using Deinslaif will trigger other forces to bring them back to battlefield too. And that would be the point Rustal actually kick him out of his club (as he warned him already).

[up] Naze's last ditch effort to ram Iok was also another callback to season 1. That's the tactic Tekkadan used to get the upper-hand during their fight with the Turbines.'

So I get the feeling most of the Turbines, save for the main trio, will probably end up retiring on Mars, with Orga financially supporting them like he does Biscuit's family.

After having a talk with my other friends caught up with IBO, they admitted this episode made them cry too. Usually I don't get super emotional with Gundam... well okay I have but usually I'm used to death flags and death but... IBO is good at hitting the feels with the strong writing.

Naze and Amida are characters we got to know pretty well for a series like this. We met them early and the impact of the entire Turbines family rubbing off on Tekkadan is all over the place. Without them, Tekkadan wouldn't have gotten as far as they have. Despite what Naze said (and let's face it it was mainly to try and persuade Orga not to be rash), they were ALL family by that point.

The fact some fuckhead like Iok basically set up the Turbines out of some misguided sense of petty revenge and knowing that fucker Jalsey was guiding his hand to bump his main competitor; just... It makes their deaths raw and pain, they didn't need to die, but Iok was damned to be some fucking big shot even if it meant ignoring the rules of warfare.

Back to my earlier points, another thing that makes their deaths have power is that it wasn't over them holding the idiot ball like so many deaths in G-series have held. Naze tried everything to end things peacefully but the enemy wouldn't have it so he and the other Turbines retaliated but the goal was get the evacuees out first.

I think the ending words from both Amida and Naze held power as well; how they together helped each other be the best they could to be better people. They really were the leaders of the family and they damn well did not shriek their familial duty. On top of that knowing how the two of them were trying to do their part to take in downtrodden women abused and used by the society in IBO that allows the indentured enslavement of people a MAJOR lucrative operation; that's something to respect on that alone. Even if some of the whole 'harem' bit had some skeev-ish feels here and there, you saw a functioning, loving family. Despite being part of the friggin Jupiter mafia, now that says something.

RIP guys, you earned your rest...

Back on the hate sink....a thought occured to me that makes me wanna see Iok and Jalsey's balls be cut off and roasted over a fire before being force-feed to them...

What if any of the children were on those launches? What if any of the ones that blew up had a kid or two? Even if not besides Amida and Naze there's many non-combatants dead who didn't deserve to die.

Shit, now all those kids have no Daddy, and and lost a Mother be she their biological or surrogate (or whatever the Turbines kids call the girls not their biological moms etc).

I honestly think all of us have the same expression of pissed off rage Akihiro had at the end... Hell even Mikazuki looked incredibly sad almost like his expression was saying, "I wish I could have done something.".

Fuck Iok and Jalsey with a rusted, serrated razor up the ass...

The Gundaminfo youtube channel is like that: they frequently change which anime are available for viewing without notice. Kind of weird that they did that with a currently airing anime.

There was a problem of Naze handing the Turbine members back to Teiwaz leadership. What happen if Jasley makes his coup against McMurdo and takes over Teiwaz, considering his attitude about women that pissed Amida off, what would happen to the surviving Turbines?

The odds of Jasley taking and holding control of Teiwaz are near zero. If he tried, what would likely happen is that McMurdo would pause just long enough to stomp him and then scrape him off the soles of his boots. (This may happen anyway if he realizes that Jasley is the one who got Gjallarhorn to go after the Turbines.) If by some miracle Jasley actually managed to off McMurdo, then Teiwaz would shatter into individual organizations — many of which would likely band together against Jasley.

Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing what McGillis is up to. I suspect that he'll bring evidence that Iok was using banned weapons to the Seven Stars in order to send them into chaos, and then start his coup (revolution? whatever you want to call it) from there. But as to what forces he can actually bring to bear against Gjallarhorn, other than the Fareed family resources and Tekkadan, I'm looking forward to finding out.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.

Soo, yesterday I had a rather funny IBO related dream. The dream was about some sort of parody game called Mikazuki And Hush Superstar Saga (As in a parody of Mario And Luigi Superstar Saga)

The only thing I clearly remember was a title screen but it was still pretty amusing

New episode is out.

You thought this was going to be a breather episode after what just happened in the last ep but nope! Akihiro is fucking pissed now and I'd hate to be the one on the receiving end of his wrath.

I knew those Higanbana flowers in the new opening meant bad shit was gonna happen but no like this!
