While Rei Ayanami is a prominent one, this image doesn't really show it and it looked more like JAFAAC before I got into the series.

Edit: How about Amano Setzer?

I don't really see how that's any more demonstrative than the current.

[up]That's better on the heroic department but he kind of looks like an elf. It still counts right?

Elric's a very loose example, as he sits on a thin line between Anti-Hero and Anti-Villain.

[up][up] He looks like a bog standard Death Knight / Dark Knight actually.

My first thought was Inner Moka from Rosario To Vampire but being albino in of itself makes her look evil.

[1][2][3][4][5] these are about as not evil as I can find.

Anyway as much as hate NGE I am fine with current, this trope is pretty much about positive portrayals of non-evil albinos more so than 'Heroic', breaking the standard Evil Albino.

[up] 3 leads to an album, and the first one seen is not her. 4 is an animated .gif, which cannot work. [tdown] Meanwhile, 1 is probably the closest portrayal of the trope, with 5 close behind.

I may look through the examples for other ideas.

Well, all of them demonstrate the "albino" part, but I don't see any doing of heroic deeds in them, which loops back to JAFAAC.

Sadly, my attempts to find Juste Belmont or Alucard doing something heroic turned up only more portraits, and I don't think a screenshot would be the best quality.

The trope itself and the examples are more 'explicitly not evil albino' instead of 'truly heroic' Heck even the OP's example isn't a truly heroic person and your examples are very much the same.

Showing the not evil aspect is enough really, hugging someone via a kind Marshmallow Hell is very nice.

The default presentation in media is 'Albinos are evil' which this trope breaks.

I'm not sold on any of the suggestions so far. 6.1. also looks more like Even the Girls Want Her than "she's popular because she's heroic".

Is this Rogal Dorn fan art heroic enough?

[up]I think I have seen him referred to as such in the past but I could be misremembering (he has only been in one of the Horus Heresy books I have read and then only briefly).

I suggest Elsa from Frozen. Maybe this shot of her hugging Anna, with the caption "Oh Anna, there is someone out there who loves you."

She is Albino? Seems very unlikely with the bright blue eyes she has. Seems like a standard Blue Eyed Blonde to me.

Elsa won't work. When I think of albinos, they typically have red eyes. Her eyes are blue, which doesn't quite illustrate the characteristics. [tdown]

As for my vote overall, I'm suggesting Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

I'm also gonna go with Keep Until Better Image Suggested. We probably could do better than the current, but the atmosphere of the image at least suggests something angelic about the character even if there's no direct display of heroics.

Blue eyes again, which is not an albino trait.

The red eyes of albinos appear to be a red herring. From what I can understand, albinos have pale eyes, and sometimes they are so pale that reflected light from the blood vessels in the eye makes the eye appear red (this also makes photos more likely to be redyes).

But it seems pale blue is the most common eye color for albinos.

That could be the cause for a trope. But still in media red eyes, really white skin and pastel hair equals Albino.

Out of all the images suggested, 3 and 21 are the best (although 21.2 doesn't work for me). 1 is too tiny, 6 are all terrible and in some cases rather innappropriate, 12 doesn't look albino, and 16 is not the trope.

This one could work. I got it from a simple Google search for "Luther Arkwright". Haven't read the comics but he seems like a great example.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."
