Fractured Space

Gotta say, I am surprised there isn't a thread on this.

Short version: it's a MOBA with massive space capital ships. Instead oh heroes, we get spaceships. Instead of towers, space stations. Instead of creeps... well, you don't get those, but most ships have drones or fighters.

Currently a bit underpopulated. Still very fun, though.

Haven't played it much for quite a while...though I did try out Leviathan out a few days go...damn that was fun. Normally don't have that much fun time with big ships (I like to drive around in Frigate normally), but Leviathan is an exception.

I bounce between the Corvette and Revenant (mainly 'vette). The fast-recharge repair beam has been a lifesaves SO many times.

Every time I've tried to log on, either the servers are empty or I immediately get torn to shreds by the more experienced captains out there. That hasn't given much of a chance to get a good impression of the game, to be honest. I will say this though, the game is certainly more complicated than World of Warships.

If you're having troubles, I'd suggest you start playing the Corvette; it's a support ship (so, you can hide and heal allies) and tends to pull a Brave Sir Robin when faced with combat.

Lets you get a feel for things without getting shot up too much. Plus it has some fun abilities.

So as it turns out, the game became a free to play this or last week.

I coincidentally picked it up this week and I'm sold.

I only got to try a few ships but at first glance the balance seems on point and most ships are different enough that the choice of one is meaningful.

So far my favorites are the Hunter and the Gladiator.

I got the game last night, and I love it. So far I've only played the Pioneer in 10 games, but 9 wins are 9 wins, no matter the ship. I recommend the to anyone and everyone.

Ooooh. Gotta remind Onyhow that this one is starting to get a multiplayer crowd again.

I was a part of the Early Access period, but thanks to the atrociously poor playerbase size and the lack of a decent tutorial, I didn't keep the game for long on my hard drive. But now that it's starting to get an audience, perhaps it's time to make a return?

It's fairly populated yeah. I don't think I've had any queue last longer than 5 or 7 minutes for a lobby. With that said, I do see recurring players. Not that it's necessarily bad, anyhow.

I tried this briefly when it was in early access, but I'd thought they were planning to charge for the final release. Now it seems they aren't charging? I might give it another go, although I'll probably just get my ass handed to me.
