I think we need a trope for Familiars if we don't already, but it shouldn't be frog/toad specific. Cats, bats, birds, and imps are just as common.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick^Familiar?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe should probably look at Morally Ambiguous Ducktorate as well, seeing as it's another "this animal can be potrayed in fiction as A, but also B, and sometimes C, and D too" trope.
Yeah, it seems like chairs. The description says literally nothing except describing what frogs are, and mentioning a few frog-related tropes. I'd suggest to either cut it entirely, or turn it into an example-less index for frog-related tropes (assuming there are enough of those).
Morally Ambiguous Ducktorate looks like it's not sure what it's about. It seems to be about "sinister ducks" (possibly inspired by Alan Moore's song), but the description and examples are all over the place.
"Ducks: the All-Terrain Animal. It's generally agreed that ducks are cute, particularly ducklings. They're also sort of funny, what with the webbed feet, the quacking, and the goofy waddling to and fro. Heck, even the word Duck! is funny on its own. But there's also something slightly sinister about them: the beady eyes, the low-pitched quacking, or of course the song about them, "March of the Sinister Ducks". Although rarely outright evil in cartoons (these roles are generally reserved for reptiles, rats, or humans), ducks are rarely heroic either. They might be an Anti-Hero, or The Lancer, or maybe a Trickster, though. They've got knives, you know."
The description is bouncing all over the place. At best, this is an amalgamation of tropes.
A quick look at the examples for Frogs And Toads shows three groupings:
1) Someone gets turned into a frog or toad (Bewitched Amphibians, Baleful Polymorph)
2) Someone (usually a witch) has a frog or toad as a familiar (Familiar)
3) There is a frog or toad in this work (not a trope)
Looks like cutting this page is the best option.

Another vote for cut/move examples to the right places.
As for the Morally Ambiguous Ducktorate, yeah, that will need tons of help.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportAgree with suggestion to cut.
Cut this page. Open a new thread for Morally Ambiguous Ducktorate.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickStarting that thread right now.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportCut. Looks like there is nothing of value on this page that isn't already on another one.
Been following the thread and looking at the trope for a while, but I've not found evidence of an actual trope there that isn't present elsewhere.
Cut.
Check out my fanfiction! Not a trope. This page needs to croak.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.I've been waiting for that.
Added a crowner.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI think the familiar trope idea is valid, but I don't really see a way to transform this into it. This page is literally just "Here are what frogs and toads are. Here are a list of places they've appeared." I think a cut and burn is all it really needs.
And Familiar is already it's own trope that's not frog or toad specific.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickCalling this one for Cut. Please de-wick it.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickStarted the de-wicking process.
If anyone wants to join in, there may be a ghost wick in the list. Encountered it as I was going through. The ghost wick in question is Face Like A Frog, which is treated as a disambiguation, but is otherwise blank. That may need to be rectified soon.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI've done some as well. Will do more when I get home.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickKnocked a few out.
De-wick is complete. I've put it up on the cut list.
Only remaining wick besides the ghost one is a locked page, so sent a request. Looks like it's set otherwise.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI got the locked page and cut it. Nice work.

Crown Description:
What would be the best way to fix the page?
The Laconic entry for this page could easily be "Frogs and toads exist." The description, in its entirety, is simply a summary of what these animals are and a bit of trivia about them. Literally any work featuring frogs and toads (or even a frog and/or a toad) could include this. I'm not sure how salvageable it is. Making it about a specific frog/toad-related trope would mean nuking all the other/more generic content on the page, which would probably whittle it down to a negligible entry. If there's a specific trope common to a large enough share of the entries, though (besides Bewitched Amphibians, which is already a trope), maybe it could be made about that instead. Thoughts?
