Made another course! I'm pretty proud of this one! The name is a reference to Super Mario Galaxy 2, where the filename of Shiverburn Galaxy is BeyondHellValley.

Played through some stages a while ago and gave some stars, enjoy.
But the real reason I'm posting is this; I swear some stages I starred in the past now appear to not have been starred? What???
Am I just crazy or has anyone else had this happen?
Welcome Nintendork. Here's my list of stages I've made.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.Check out mine!
The Protomen enhanced my life. Are we all just going to plug our own stages and not play each others here?
I always play my bookmarked courses eventually, and with a thread like this, deciding to bookmark something is EASY. It's just that I haven't remembered often enough that I get motivated to get off my ass and get on my ass and play Mario Maker. So I haven't got around to playing the game lately, is what I guess I'm supposed to say.
H.B. WardNew level! This one involves lots of mushrooms, making huge jumps across gaps, and stealing an idol from a cult of goombas.
Also, does it get annoying when someone posts whenever they have a new level out? I don't want to be getting on anybody's nerves.
I think we've all posted individual levels before and I don't recall anyone getting annoyed.
Anyway, anyone have any advice on how to make properly looping note block songs? I played a stage that repeated the Song of Healing and I'm interested in doing a similar stage myself.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.Do post all of your creations here as soon as you have the link. It livens up the thread and is fun and feedback for everyone.
I mean, nobody minds and there is no harm.
It was pretty much the whole point of the thread post-launch. Speaking of which, if you want more levels to play Nintendork, here's my profile.
Wait... Amanita Ravine? As in, the Amanita from Amanita design, the guys who made Samorost?
H.B. Ward...Or it could just mean amanitas as in the kind of mushroom?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! It's after the kind of mushroom. Didn't know there was a studio named that, although I did play a little bit of Machinarium once.
Ugh, I didn't want to mention it, but yeah: Machinarium. That's how you don't design point-and-click difficulty curve. I'm stuck on a part with a stupid fucking robo-bird that I'm so sure is glitched.
Anyway, I have a board of tasks, and releasing my new level Roaring Aircraft is the fourth one of them. I kinda want to do it a bit sooner though. If you can't imagine what it's going to be like, maybe you can guess what I've changed the idea into, after watching this guy unwittingly prove the ultimate faultiness of the entire level of Roaring SPEED Aircraft, the flawed original version.
H.B. WardIt's been a little while since I posted a course here, and I've had Super Mario Maker for exactly 1 month as of today, so here's another course, a castle stage this time!
SMB 1 was the only style I had yet to make a course in, so I went with that. It was just going to be a small course at first, but I got carried away
I don't have the game, but they've announced a 3DS version. And it looks like we got a Porting Disaster before it even comes out. No online support like the Wii U version.
Wouldn't really be a Porting Disaster if it didn't do absolutely everything worse, which it doesn't.
It comes with 100 pre-built levels, practically making it a standalone Mario game in it's own right, come with a new challenge game mode and still lets you share stages, but only locally.
I agree the lack of online uploading is a step down, but Porting Disaster is a trope reserved for far worse.
You can still play levels others have uploaded on the Wii U version, but can't search by ID for whatever baffling reason. Here's hoping that you can use Bookmark to find stages you want and that you can download them to play offline.
I think that if you happen to have a few freinds who really enjoy Mario Maker and you all own a 3DS, it sounds like it'll be a fun time.
But if you don't have any friends that live nearby? Well, then the 3DS version is definetely a pass.
No user-made levels ever come in a real campaign format in this game. I still think they need to add a build-your-own custom playlist challenge feature. That's all.
H.B. WardAfter 5 billion years, I finally made a new level: Clustertruck (09AD-0000-02A4-5277).
Worth it for the name alone!
The Protomen enhanced my life.I'll try this one later
It's based off of the game of the game of the same name.
Thread inactive for three weeks? Time for an unlikely hero!
I FINALLY uploaded Roaring Aircraft! Having that level inside my unfinished course list was actually a pretty big problem; it was a very hard to finish, very puzzlesome development cycle for a level I wanted to add, when I already had plenty of other, fresher courses in front of it ready to be finished, but I was determined to finish this nightmare first. So I hope you guys enjoy it, and that it's at least 1.2x as fullproof as I think it is right now.
It's also part 3 of the Sounds series that started with Quiet Mountain Town, that can be found in the old spreadsheet.
So, now that this mofo is out of the way, I can finally get back to publishing simpler levels. Ones that I won't be spending weeks painstakingly foolproofing.
The upcoming maps are know as:
- The Sky Wars
- Average Mario World
- Several Screen Puzzle
- Hardcastle
Oh crap, only one person on the whole Wii playerbase has played (and lost at) Roaring Aircraft. Is the Mario Maker playerbase... dying...?
H.B. WardI've bookmarked your level, and I'll get around to playing it soon
Pretty good! The secret path through the mountains is pretty cool, but I worry most people won't bother trying to find it. Definitely better than most levels I've played in the game.
