Hm, the concept art looks good, and I wouldn't mind another game in the style of Mega Man Legends. I really enjoyed the world and setting from the series, so I'm interested in seeing how Red Ash will encapsulate MML's appeal.
"Some legends shape our lives..."
"Some legends leave us with the promise of a new tomorrow..."
"And some legends herald greatness, only to lose their way..."
I am loving just how bitter the subtext sounds.

From the creators of not!Roll...
Not!Tiesel!
So we can we expect the Spiritual Successor to Mega Man X?
I thought that was Azure Striker Gunvolt...
That's the spiritual successor to Megaman Zero.
Does X need a Successor? The gameplay at it's core is similar to Classic Mega Man anyway, just with a few extra bells and whistles.
Anyway, all that's left now is a successor to Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Starforce, and every single Megaman series covered.

One Strip! One Strip!Mighty No. 9 got delayed. If they go the crowdfunding route again I have to wonder who they expect to actually go through with backing them.
Maybe a Darker and Edgier Mighty No. 9?
Comcept seems to have a publishing deal now, something that wasn't set in stone when they first did the Kickstarter two years ago. Funding may not be an issue anymore.

The Megaman series seems to have a lot of spiritual successors. Guess the ground was ripe for platformers where you co-opt the enemy's weapons. Although in Gunvolt it's one of the other opponents that does that.
I still need to finish that game.
Is it a game or is it an anime? The other company in the teaser is known for its animation work (Thundercats, Berserk movie trilogy, etc).
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI'm just reminded of that Kamiya quote about Inafune. It gets more true with every day.
?
Hideki Kamiya said that Inafune is a very good business man, above all else, even if he is a game director.
Watch SymphogearNo, the quote is "He's a business man. Not a creator." It's pretty much the worst thing Kamiya has said about a person in the industry because it implies Inafune has no original ideas of his own and just does the things that gets him money. Whenever people ask him about one of Inafune's kickstarters he just links this tweet.

Kamiya does do cool games, but he is to be honest kind of a jerk
to be fair, some people would more or less agree with him.
a considerable amount of people i've spoken to think Mighty No. 9 looks very underwhelming and regret funding it.
90% of every tweet you see from him is going to be him blocking a fan for asking him a stupid question, catching him at a bad time, or for asking a question he already answered (he fully expects you to go through the archives to before asking questions)
essentially he's got no patience. he'll call you an idiot if you act like one, but he wont really be super vitriolic unless you actively piss him off, like with that journalist who wrote an article on...i think, the failure of japanese game development vs western game developmen or something, who then proceeded to ask kamiya what he thought.

I'm not saying Kamiya is exactly wrong when it comes to his twitter shenanigans, but he is still kinda of a jerk
:p Well, okay thats not technically a ninja since we said it differently, but I meant pretty much what you said so I'd guess it counts

...I thought they'd actually announce the game instead of announce two Kickstarters XD;

The Protomen enhanced my life. Not surprised to be honest xD
Ah well, at least this time they have separate kickstarter for a show from get go so nobody can blame them of that I guess

I feel like this would have been more effective if they'd announced/made Red Ash first, since Legends specifically was what many fans were upset over at that time.
As it is now, I feel like we've sort of been used or played.
The Protomen enhanced my life.That's... not what he meant at all, and he clarified it in a follow-up tweet. Fact is, Infanune was always more of an executive type. The Producer job is important, but he's not the ~creator of Mega Man ~ the way people seem to think he is.

So if I understand this right they're announcing a spin-off or whatever to Mighty No. 9 before that game is even out? Inafune what the hell are you doing?
Comcept is apparently going to make a successor to Mega Man Legends. They dropped a teaser video and are saying more details on the 4th at Anime Expo.

I have to say, I'm not very excited for this partially because I'd rather conclude Legends' story than see something new XD; Though I bet it will have a lot of sly references to things being covered with water. And the moon. And the moon being covered with water :p
EDIT: They announced two Kickstarters to fund the game and an anime of it.
