For all those who haven't heard about it, Residue is a new three-episode Netflix series. Trailer is here, though it is kinda spoilery - you've been warned.

I think they did really well building tension and mystery, making me want to know what the frick is going on with the quarantine zone. The three leads are suprisingly well developed, though I guess the creators had to cram as much character development as they could in the 3 episodes, not knowing if they had any more than that.

That being said, It does have a very strong X Files influence.

TV shows that don't have proper endings make me feel like I've been conned into watching a show. Any enjoyment I had watching those three episodes was immediately, retroactively, destroyed from that... well, not an "ending" as such, but a stopping.
