After quite a while of looking around, it appears to me I need to post a new topic, here, in order to figure out what I need to do to get started on creating a new page for a work. I want to create a page for a podcast, called "top Down Perspective."

I have some edits to my name, but I have only ever created one page, as a joke. So essentially I have little to no experience doing this.

Now, I can learn, I have done plenty of basic command work, and I have already at least learned how to program hyperlinks in those edits here on tv tropes (what do you kids call those blue text links now? I'm from the 90's.), so that's not a problem, although anyone willing to help with this would be highly appreciated, but it's not critically necessary.

The question I'd like answered about this, is where I would put it up to get evaluated before i just put it out there, I'm told YYTTW is the place to put it.....but, is that really right, that'll be ok? And if so, is there a way to format it there so it's not confused for an actual trope, but a work for those scrolling through? (especially because Top Down Perspective must already be a gaming trope?)

Otherwise, any ideas to get this off the ground would be appreciated, I know some of the overhead-viewers (our fan group name) are tropers, so here's hoping you find this thread!

Basically, discuss The Top Down Perspective Podcast potentially having a tv tropes page.

Some basic info about me: I've been a troper since 2011, but it was a few years before I decided to do more then just read pages, and I'm not really much of a forum citizen/chatter/whatever phrase. I do other things then tv tropes on the internet, but not much, currently, not really worth linking anything. (doubt that would be proper netiquette here anyway, but you could look on my troper page if you were really curious.)

Oh hey, I've been meaning to make a page on that podcast myself for a while.

Basically, you would just go to what would be the page (in this case, Podcast/TopDownPerspective), edit the page, write up a thorough but concise summary, make sure you have more than a handful of tropes to contribute to an example section, save the page, put the page in relevant indexes, cross-wick all the examples you put on the page, and I believe that's it.

You don't need to run work pages through YKTTW or anything, but if you want to, you can. Work pages are a free launch.

Thanks for the advice, I've been too busy to do anything like that, but I might be able to start that right about now.

But I could always use help for adding in examples and such, and I'll see if I can call attention to this forum discussion, or at least the page itself.

Nice, thanks! really appreciated! Alright, I don't think this forum topic is necessary, any other change talk I believe can be done on the page's discussion tab, and since that's where people who find the page will likely be, this forum topic has served it's purpose in full.

(lock and archive this topic please, mods, assuming that's a thing you do.)
