I forgot that Go! was new all week, so I only caught the second half of yesterday's episode. Not surprised that an episode called "The Return of Slade" doesn't seem to feature him at all.
That evil clown reminded me of something from Powerpuff Girls, but I can't recall what exactly.

That's the one.
"We be we baby!"So, this episode centered on continuity and how it would be better if the team was less annoying. Seductive Rave and Starfire Would be the best for playboy Bruce Wayne.
"We be we baby!"I think it's funny that Passionate Starfire, along with all the others, declined Robin's marriage proposal, despite being the obvoius one that would go along with it.
I really liked this episode, if only because it lampshaded Robin's Go! characterizations (and because I tend to find him the funniest on the show in general).
I'm not sure what I've just seen, but I guess this is what people would call similar to the weird part of the Internet?
Seriously, Robin hit a new kind of low in this one. This episode did make Starfire the more adorable.
Signatures are for lamers.I watched the last two new episodes and this is my opinion on them:
I sort of liked the "Some of the parts" episode, even if it did only served to make Robin look bad (as usual). Also, it seems kind of mean that he won't let Beast Boy have some time with Purple Raven.
But the "Cat Fancy" episode just struck a bad cord in me. Mainly because it made fun of the whole "Wish upon a star" scenario. That used to be a symbol of hope and belief, now the cynical world we live in just makes fun of it. It's really distracting and bothersome to me.
Now, because this show has all of the original TT show voice cast and is a DC comics show (something that is rare these days), i can't stop watching it. But, the way they handle the characters, it just makes me wonder; if the Original TT cast could see how they're represented in this show, what would they say?
In the original show, Robin was not only the straight man of the group, he was also a leader the Titans had no trouble following (most of the time admittedly, but the times where they had trouble with him were treated as once in a blue moon situations) and seemed like the most normal member of the entire team. What would he say if he saw how this show made him look?
How would Beast Boy feel if he saw how idiotic and useless this show made him look?
How would Raven, Cyborg and Starfire feel if they saw how the show made them look?
Just had to get that out of the way
The wouldn't feel anything because they're not real.
I was being rhetoric in that regard and must you use the quick attempt to end the conversation?
[up]The YJ characters weren't really strawmen, that is what a lot of people complain about with this series. Whether you think it's right or wrong doesn't change that is how a lot of people sound.
End what conversation? You made a comment, I made an response.

A lot of people complain about the show not being serious? I thought the biggest complaint was that the Titans often ranged from jerk to sociopaths.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’I understand that the show gets criticized for not being serious, but the way the show handled the criticism was...Poorly, to put it lightly.
That, and how juvenile the writing is.
EDIT:Actually, they range from jackasses to idiots to sane men.

My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013Meh, so long as I find it entertaining I don't particularly care if it's "juvenile" or not. Though I don't always find it funny.
And that complaint still doesn't strike much of a cord with me for other reasons.
to put it another way the show is so geared towards making itself funny to its target demographic that it ends up being grating to a lot of people over that age. i think the show itself is pretty harmless for the most part barring the crass response to criticism they've gotten, but it's understandable as to why it doesn't really gel with a lot of people.
I range from finding the show "Meh" to awful. I'm more leaning towards awful now because of some of the interviews I've read about the show. Though most of the time I just try my damndest to forget it so it doesn't anger me.
Easier said then done considering how many times I've seen ads for the show on CN when I'm watching my other shows.
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013I usually just go numb when I watch it, and enjoy the sadistic ride.
"We be we baby!"For me, the show's real flaw is it's stretched a core premise that was entertaining for a few shorts (the Titans being all psycopathic manchildren... even if they're closer to children than adults, age-wise) and, since they haven't added anything else, it already ran out of creative gas (although here and there are still good gags, and visually, it's still crisp as ever for a comedy show).
Meta-wise, there's also the fact this is the only thing of DC show CN wants to keep doing. That isn't the show's own fault, but it's definitely the network's and its petty squabbles with its mother company's. If there were other kinds of DC shows to go along with it, offering some actual variety, I'd bet a lot of the Internet hatred would disappear, but as it is, CN just wants to feed the audience a single kind of superhero program.
The irony being that they BARELY DO ANYTHING CONSIDERED AS SUPERHEROING. It's like the plot for American Dad: He's suppose to be an agent, but is pretty much becomes "second banana" to the less important plot of each story. Or more relateable, The Awesomes, which also follows the same formula of TTG! in spades.
"We be we baby!"Hey, I'm genuinely curious about The Awesomes.
Is that any good? Or at least any better than TTG?
I guess if you can imagine Archer with super powers, then The Awesomes fit the bill.
"We be we baby!"Well, I have seen the five seasons currently on Netflix and I'm eagerly awaiting the sixth one to show up eventually. There's also the fact that Archer really manages to make me laugh like crazy...
Hmm. Maybe I will like The Awesomes...
Bump.
The producers talk season 3, Weird Al, and why they consider the show to be like Taylor Swift.
Kinda weird that we're still getting stuff from SDCC ages after it finished this year, huh?
In a sense, I understand the producers' point of view. They're just trying to make a successful show, and make it as funny and entertaining as possible. And, according to the numbers, they've done that. It's the number one kid's show out there right now. The problem stems from fans who see the name "Teen Titans" and expect a super hero show. Or expect character development and growth, instead on sustained silliness, which is really all the producers are going for. I suspect that a lot of fans feel like the makers of this show are making fun of them, super-heroes, and comics in general, and that fuels a lot of their hate.
I'd only have a problem with the producers snarking off about genuine criticism. Saying that you don't like the show because of it's essential premise, structure, and tone isn't really anyone's problem but your own; you're saying you'd only like the show if it was something else entirely. For the producers' part, their show is clearly a roaring success. Thay've got no reason to change things.
For my part, I watch this show in small doses (which really makes it a little irritating to me that some days it feels like it's all CN's got on their schedule). Any more than a little bit at a time and I feel like the writers are picking on old friends of mine. This can be, and often is, a fun show. But I do wish, as do many of you, apparently ,that they'd do a "serious" DCU show of some kind. But straight adventure shows don't seem to fly, these days.

While I'm not ever putting Let's See YOU Do Better! against a fan, when it comes to professional writers, I don't think they should be so quick to call others out when they haven't proved yet they could do it either.
