1:08 to 1:25: Me on a diet.
"We be we baby!"HOLY SHIT, I was not expecting that ending! I'm both banging my head and laughing my ass off right now!
....I'm not going to lie I want to watch this really bad.
"You can reply to this Message!"The trailer is funny, but what about the story? Yes I know it's about (and this is not a spoiler, it has already been revealed) pets defending their home from homeless pets who want vengeance on humans for abandoning them. Whoa that turned dark huh?

It looks very adorable.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.So the plot is basically, "Hey, you guys remember Toy Story 3? Let's sorta do that, but with pets."
Also, I really enjoyed the song that was playing throughout that teaser. Anyone know what it's called?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Do Your Thing by the Basement Jaxx
I'm having to learn to pay the priceThis looks a lot better than Minions does, that's for sure - but it all comes down to how well written it is...
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Kevin Hart as cute little bunny that looks innocent, but is actually a criminal mastermind leading a cult? Weird, but funny.

What is anime? Anime is...only a weeaboo way of saying animation, really.New trailer. I think this may turn out good.

I also want to give a special kudos to the artists and animators. I absolutely admire the shots of New York City here, they look really pretty.
has a clue, but it's usually not the correct one 0.55% of the timeSo yeah, this movie was basically 1000% funny and I laughed and smiled a lot and almost cried a few times and I loved every pet.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. It's definitely more than just 'Toy Story... with Pets.' It's probably not going to be right up there with the classics but it's genuinely funny and the attention paid to background detail is fantastic.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."I actually dislike Toy Story, but this hit all the right buttons for me. Maybe if you replaced all of the creepy, uncanny, and horrifying scenes in Toy Story with cute animal jokes....And thug animal jokes.
And a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment involving hot dogs.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I just got back from seeing it.
Solid 5/10. It wasn't terrible (despite what the rest of the internet was so eager to claim) but it's just kinda bland and by-the-numbers.
At least the Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure didn't last long.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I would give it a 9.5/10.
The -.5 is because Katie is too long and slender and funny lookin'. And because of the singing hot dogs.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Blasphemy! Those hot dogs are worth at least one point all on their own. (I kid, I kid.)
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."I'd actually say it's around 7/10. Admittedly some of it should've been worked on a bit better, but as it stands it's competent and not horrible.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?I'm also in the 5/10 camp. Max was such an unrelenting asshole through the beginning and a decent chunk of the middle that I spent basically the whole runtime hoping that he'd get his comeuppance. There are some funny gags, but the fact that he felt to me like a Villain Protagonist had me just want to walk out of the theater.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I can't say I was all that impressed, honestly. I find myself wishing I'd waited to see it in a Matinee or, more likely, waited until it hit the second-run theaters. A little entertainment value, but I can't say I have much a desire to see it again.
There were certainly some genuinely funny moments, I enjoyed a number of the characters, and I felt like there were pieces in place for a genuinely good movie, but taken as a whole it felt like a giant mess that didn't know what it was doing or what it really wanted, and a lot of the plot kind of felt like they were just making it all up as they went along.
I kind of felt the same way about Duke early on to a degree, it didn't take long for him to just come off as a jerk.

$103.2 million opening weekend — the biggest for any original film. Holy smokes.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.I did like Kevin Hart's rabbit character and some of the comedy derived from him and his gang.
That bit with the viper, man.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Haven't seen this and probably won't. The concept is about as unoriginal as you can get and I wasn't impressed with the trailer I saw. It looked passable up until when the bunny took a literal CGI shit. That's when I decided this wasn't my film.
I'll agree that the bit surrounding the Viper death was one of the really good moments of the movie.
Just saw it today. I'd give it a 5.5/10. I thought the the animation was spectacular but the story didn't have much heart. Maybe if they had an extra 10 minutes to the film to develop it more I would have been more forgiving.
Next year's Universal/Illumination animated movie.
Trailer's here
