Episode 1. It's been a long time since I watched a dub. Very solid dub. Op and ed are both solid.I especially like that they kept the yo-kai term instead of Americanizing it. Nate is great for your standard kid protagonist. He has a great dynamic with Whisper the lovable ghost. And the future king himself Jibanyan is as adorable as his artwork suggested. Though his backstory was a lot darker than I was expecting. I'm surprised it didn't get censored. A great start, and I wish this series good luck in all its endeavors.

Episode 2 with Tattletell was pretty good.
Now watching Ep 3. This Noko amuses me already, because it sounds EXACTLY like these toy squeaky hammers that make the sound when you shake them.
Also, doesn't Nate's voice sound a little like Noby's in the Doraemon dub?

The dub's nice. I tried watching the original but couldn't really get into it but the dub makes the humor much more pronounced.

Like everyone else has been saying, this is a surprisingly solid dub for a kids show. The opening and ending being faithfully adapted blew my mind, that's almost never done for dubs anymore.

I am really impressed that episode 6 seemingly wasn't censored. They were basically watching porn. Jibanyan isn't so effective against electricity. That might hurt his future endeavors. Blazion was cool.

Were the Komasan Taxi complaints real or did the writers make them up? And is the Komasan Taxi segment over? I would assume so since Komasan has that new "Dog of the North Star" segment.

I'm from Asia. So it's Bandai who release toys here instead. There's mainly medals, vinyl toy and model kits. Not sure who came out with the name for a big model kit called BIGLY Jibanyan (along others) though.
And I got an inferior version of the dub instead. yay...
Yokai Watch Season 2 Premiered Yesterday. And it will have 50 NEW EPISODES! Awesome!

I really hope this means Disney XD will be for the long run with this show. I really want anime with appeal to kids be successful again.

There hasn't been a new Disney XD English episode in a while. It's a shame.
I'm hyped for the new movie coming out in Japan though. It sounds like an interesting change.

Apparently the Disney XD dub changed the entire cast. I wonder if this will effect the games since the two media feature the same cast.
This is... very, very disappointing. The voices were half of the fun.

The entire English dub cast is being given The Other Darrin treatment as of the upcoming season. Think of what happened to Pokémon from 4kids->PUSA, though in this case it's apparently due to the original cast being too expensive.
I guess that explains the huge hiatus, at least.
IIRC the 4kids -> PUSA also happened cause the original cast was too expensive, as well as the license expiring.

The original anime has ended recently and it will be replaced by a continuation of the Shadowside story from the 4th movie.

The toys and marketing look amazing and the voices for the dub dont sound too bad....but I still fear they are going to ruin this one.
