Can we not do these stupid threads where the opener's just a link? They're against the rules and tell us nothing of the op's opinions. Do you have something to say about the slime coming home?
ETA: I've never seen the show but I've heard great things about it. I'll probably catch it on Hulu or Amazon Prime if it's on there.

I've loved pretty much every series of this one. Even the post-Grant/Naylor ones. Episodes I would recommend are "Kryten", "Future Echoes" "Confidence and Paranoia", "Me2", "Backwards", "Dimension Jump", "Back to Reality", "Gunmen of the Apocalypse" "Tikka To Ride" etc, all a wealth of hilarity.
I don't appreciate being called "stupid", but I'm sorry for not posting much besides the link. I'll read the rules more thoroughly from here on in

Guh. If I called you stupid I would have called YOU stupid. I called the thread stupid because we get ridiculous numbers of the damn things where the op just posts some article or video without giving their own thoughts. That sort of thing has gotten chronic offenders banned before, and I'd just as soon not see that happen again.
Will edit or post again later once I've woken up and had time to find more to say.
I understand, sorry again.
The whole bit in "White Hole" about time spewing back into the universe is really funny. I see it used on a lot of forums to show off how clever the Grant Naylor material can be.
You might want to edit the original post so that it at least says that two new seasons are confirmed. As it stands it could mean anything and you don't know without clicking.
Much better.

I thought it was pretty good. I saw it described one one site as "Star Trek First Contact meets Sliders" and it would'nt too far off the tree. Loved that speakeasy clubs supplied illegal science and not booze, and the timey-whimey trade negotiation at the beginning

UKTVPLAY have uploaded the second episode. Saw it this morning.
It has a continuity nod to "Justice", and at times it plays out like a much weaker "Marooned" with Lister and Cat, who get pretty tame material. I did giggle at the Arcamedes and Knighthood jokes, but then the whole part of Cat's story with the bathub kept going on and on and on, and then the whole scene sinks with "Julie Ceaser". A shame, as the premise of Lister and Cat in a room together intrigued me. I was more interested in Rimmer and Kryten's short interactions as they tried to solve the riddle of what caused the Samsara to crash. There's also a recycled gag from "Kryten", Kryten announcing they've recovered survivors from the Samsara, only we find they're dead. I liked the card game Rimmer and Lister played at the start though...top banter there, but it feels like it's only there to set up the abrupt last scene where Cat discovers Lister's card and he scampers
