CLD is the brand name of a type of laserdisc player.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Ah. I recognize Pioneer as the manufacturer, but didn't think that CLD was the brand.
I was aware that CLV and CAV were the two types of discs that a laserdisc player could play.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/laserdisc_archive/pioneer/pioneer_cld-d925/cld-d925.htm is the site for the model of Laser Disc player you may be referring to. It's made by Pioneer, and it's old-school Pioneer to boot, which means if it works at all, it will work pretty darned well indeed. Hope this helps.
I think I found a model I like right now:
the CLD-M90 Laserdisc/5 CD player.
Only problem is shipping...I can get the base money in enough time, but shipping cost I'm going to have to rely on my mom and have to pay her back.
I think I'd go for the "Buy it Now" price (does that override all bids on eBay? I've never used eBay so I don't know how it works. I also don't know if there is a way for me to ask the seller to see if it comes with the proper video and audio cables.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!If you Buy it Now, no other bid can beat you.
It's a legal contract. If the seller takes a higher bid after the auction's over, they've opened themselves to all sorts of problems.
There should be a "contact the seller" button on the listing page somewhere, which allows you to send the seller a message about the item.
The only thing I'm seeing is the "Questions/Answer" section of the page...is that the same as "contact the seller"?
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Yes, that'll be it.
I figured it out.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I have ordered the M90 Laserdisc player/Five disc CD changer (haven't had a 5 disc CD changer since I was in elementary school)!
I have asked the seller to include the following movies along with the proper audio/video cables needed to hook up the player (this might be the challenge when the thing arrives):
- Back to the Future Part I
- Independence Day
- Jurassic Park
- The Lion King
- Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Among other discs, the seller also had:
- Die Hard
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- Batman Returns
- Back to the Future Part II
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
- The Last Crusade
- Pinocchio
- Hook!
- Titanic
- The Terminator
- Beauty and the Beast
- The Princess Bride
- Sword in the Stone
- Pulp Fiction
- Mrs Doubtfire
- Land Before Time
- Godfather
- Fantasia
- Dances With Wolves
- Blade Runner
- Bambi
- All Dogs Go To Heaven
- 101 Dalmatians
