The only thing I can find in the webcomics section that might work as a succinct replacement is the 6th panel of this, and even then I dunno that it's that much better than the current.
Yeah, both are just talking about the trope.
I really have nothing and the examples giveme nothing.
Anyone got some Star Wars comics they can scan? Luke declaring 'I can't kill my own father' to Obiwan might work, or Vader throwing the Emperor down that pit to save Luke.

I agree that the current is effectively just talking heads. I would really like to come up with something to replace it, though. I looked through the examples, but did not find any good images related to the ones I'm familiar with.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. While we search for a new image, can we agree the current has to go?
I, for one, would not miss that image even if it's gone.
Order of the Stick has produced a lot of really good images for this site. This is not one of them.
I support the removal of the current.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGoing once, going twice, zapped.
Upon further thought, I'm not sure that image met the standard of actively hurting the page. Push comes to shove, I'd vote Keep Until Better Image Suggested. I just think a Better Image should be easy to find.
We generally try to avoid talking heads.
The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to agree. How do you go about actively demonstrating this without some kind of dialogue regarding the person in question choosing the blood relation over [X]?

Show the person actually being defended or something?
Yeah, a simple picture of somebody defending somebody else would be an improvement. Even if it needed text to clarify that they're family, at least it wouldn't be all text. Bonus points if there's a clear family resemblance though.
Just defending someone even family is not enough for the trope. They have to do it despite other events and such.
By "I would really like to come up with something to replace it", I meant that I don't think it should be pulled without replacement. Textiness is a flaw, maybe a big one, but that's compared to something else. "Something to avoid", not something to get rid of ASAP.
If nothing better is found, I think that image should be restored. It shouldn't have been pulled.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Okay, but a picture doesn't need to depict every element of a trope to be better than nothing.
Any chance we can get something from the MCU involving Thor and Loki?
Going to agree with Keep Until Better Image Suggested. Certainly not great, but not pullable.
Check out my fanfiction!Add my vote for Keep Until Better Image Suggested. While it is true that the image might as well be a page quote, that alone isn't enough to pull an image without replacement.
(Incidentally, since when does IP have a second page of threads?)
A bit cluttered, but shows Thor first clearly pissed off at Loki but then giving in to him being family.
That's a lot of text in a large image. It gets kinda hard to read it without leaning in (also isn't Loki technically adopted? Splitting hairs a bit, but still).

I think the trope is less about strictly blood ties and more about family.
I wouldn't normally mention it, but the page stresses the importance of blood several times. I mean, it's mentioned several times on the main page and the Larconic outright states it. Not sure if it really matters, just sayin'.
The image shows characters discussing the trope. It does not show the trope in action in any way. It might as well be a page quote.
