Sonic CD's "I'm outta here!" is the only one that comes to mind.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Probably the ones of the latter Persona games.
I like them mostly because they are basically a thought on the game's themes.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!This is the nastiest Game Over I've ever had.
Multiple quotes about just how much he hates your guts. >_>
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerReally almost any of Capcom's old arcade game overs.
Will he ever learn how to do proper CPR? Do you have a quarter or two in your pocket?
And the infamous nightmare inducing MK4 game over.

That Game Over is literally the only thing I remember/know about MK 4.
Also the comments are hysterical.
"So what happens if you continue? You stop gravity, fly up, and try again?"
"Lol the song just cuts off like "you fail""
"I know right! one time i played this at a Burger King then after that,I was so scared inside i couldn't even hold the burger xDD"
"I remember seeing this at Blockbuster on the TV screens they had there. No one is safe. o_o"
"This used to scare me whenever i went to Peter Piper Pizza center for a birthday party, the moment i lost, i'd leave the machine, just so i wouldn't have to see this, but i always heard the scary music as i walked away from it regardless. Dang, so that's the penalty for losing in Mortal Kombat, does the person that beat you do the liberty of throwing you in there themselves as part of out world rules!? O_O Who knows."
"I saw this exact thing on the arcade version once in an ice cream shop. Don't think I'll ever unsee it. (shudder)"

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."breath of fire: dragon quarter.

I know it's almost cliche to say this at this point, but I still have to go with Chrono Trigger and "The future refused to change..."
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.GAME OVER YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
I WAS GONNA SAY THAT (;_____;)
I used to get scared of the Game Over screens in Banjo Kazooie. Also, the transition to said Game Over in both games (a rip-off of Bowser's face transition when you die in Super Mario 64) is also freakish. I wouldn't play that game for ages, and still to this day, I'm scared by it.

Any of the Quest For Glory ones. Or Sierra in general.
Especially the "pick nose" one where you jam a lockpick up your nose. If your lockpicking skill is high enough you get a "Success! your nose is now open!" and if its too low you jam the lockpick into your brain and die.

Ahh, Hylarn beat me to the punch!
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation. Most of the stuff from Resident Evil 4 and onward definitely deserves to be here. I couldn't find a video on Youtube compiling all of them, but the ones from RE 6 are good enough examples. They're obviously quite the violent deaths though, so keep that in mind.
@lu1272 Thanks for posting that, because that video got me into the Valkyrie Profile series. I became curious as to what could make him say such vitriolic things, and then when I found out more about the series I became interested in the games! :)
The Protomen enhanced my life. This one.
Siding with Elijah in Dead Money.
Arkham games' are pretty cool with the villain smack talking you a bit and gloating.
Sonic CD's was scray, at least the US version was with Metal's creepy laugh and eerie chord.
Adventure games tend to have really good deaths too.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I was afraid of the Super Smash Bros. Melee game over as well.
When you say no during the continue screen the announcer booms "GAME OVER." Complete with Scare Chord.
I fucking wet my pants when I first saw it as a kid.
Wario Land III has only one place in the entire game where you can get a Game Over.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
What are the most interesting Game Overs you've come across?
I'm partial to It's a Wonderful Failure types of Game Overs, especially if you can just try again instead of having to restart the whole thing.
I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monster Coliseum for the PS2 and when I lost to the very first opponent, Joey, the failure scene was so heartwarming I couldn't believe it. I decided it was the most heartwarming Game Over of all time.
