The software apparently doesn't like periods in troper handles, so it thinks you are Gaimanite. There might be some kind of workaround; but if so, it's beyond my expertise.
Bigotry in the name of inclusion is still bigotry.

There is no workaround. You cannot have non-alphanumeric characters in a handle and still be able to create a troper page. Periods in particular are problematic because the wiki software treats them as namespace separators.

Damnit! That's disappointing. I wish I had known about that beforehand, I would have made my handle something different. Thanks for the input.

So, as you can see, my troper handle is "gaimanite.pkat". I would like to create a page for myself so I can have that little feeling of being a cool kid, but clicking on my name keeps redirecting me to a page called Troper/Gaimanite. And of course, I can't edit that one because whoever Gaimanite is, only he/she can edit it. Is my troper handle incompatible with making a page? I know I can't change it and I really, really, really don't want to have to make a new account and start from scratch "getting known" and such.
