This is just a strange idea, but I wouldn't mind if a story was set from a bacteria's point of view or even a human organ's POV. The problem is, has that idea been done before and is it too weird?

I know of one, maybe two cartoons set in a human body. The one I'm certain about an French? cartoon about the human life craddle to grave from the point of view of a few cells. The other has, if I remember right, a white blood-cell working as a police/detective/whatever as protagonist.

And then there are all those somewhat similar stories of persons shrunk down and adventuring inside somebody elses body...

[up] I assume you're talking about the Il Était Une Fois... / Once Upon a Time series, more specifically Once Upon a Time... Life. I have to admit that it was the first thing that also sprung to my mind. For the "adventuring inside somebody else's body" variant we even have its own page: "Fantastic Voyage" Plot.

So yeah, it's been done. However, this shouldn't discourage you from trying to do something similar yourself. Everything's been done by someone already, and if the plot you want to use is rare enough that you actually have to stop thinking whether it's been done before, then it sure as hell is not a bad choice for a plot.

What about a story from a human organ's anthropomorphized perspective? Has that been done before?

[up][up]Yes,it was that cartoon I tought of. I came to think of something I read once about Medieval stories. Characters in medieval stories were sometimes named after feelings, their qualities and the more poetic bodyparts. Things representing them.

King Brain, the brave Kidney twins, The loyal and romantic Heart... You get the idea.smile

So I guess the anthropomorphic organs haven't been done as much in the media... Or a parasite's point of view. I guess I could write a story about that...
