In short, New Genesis Fame can vaguely be considered a cross between Prototype and inFamous. The Players (Hosts to ever-developing Symbiotes that read their mind to derive abilities) are trapped within a quarantine due to claims of "extreme bioterrorism", and have to deal with Eldon (who created the Symbiotes) & the "Military" while having no idea of what's really going on in or outside the quarantine.

List of Players:

By the way, whenever you want a new Development or a pre-existing one improved, either mention it here or in a PM first for approval. In addition, I may occasionally mention when I think a Symbiote has learned enough for a Development or Upgrade.

Rogue Fighter, eh? I approve. tongue

Also, I will probably be asleep when the roleplay goes up, and I have school tomorrow, so don't expect a post from me until the afternoon.

Yecotis the Bloody Saint. Can you like, read minds or something?

I never said Susie was a singer, but it's certainly an interesting cast of characters.

It is a little known fact I come from a family of psychics. They don't have an instruction manual though so... Anyways, I'm currently working on the first post. Think I'll do three general sections for players to choose to work around if they don't want to just do their own thing. Town Meeting thing, the "Military" patrolling downtown, and some Eldon agents skulking in the shadows.

I was going to say something else that was important, but I forgot. Well, the "Military" and local law stuff have been trying to downplay the Hosts as simple (occasionally body horrific) disruptions of their natural system instead of super entities. The only means any normal joe would have to disapprove them would be video recordings or photos (which would be quickly dismissed as faked).

Eh, Singer = Music. Parasitic Pianist didn't sound as cool.

Yeah, when you say parasitic pianist fast with my accent it just sounds vaguely dirty anyhow haha.

That, and Parasitic Cellist kind of sounds like she's a Biologist. By the way, remembered what I forgot. I intend to keep the city vague (was even going to call City Hall a Guildhall instead), in addition to the year. Meta-wise, so that even the players aren't too sure what's going on. Though I'll probably go the "Fictional" City route.

Yeah, even though I was purely improvising the speedster on the spot, Yecotis shanked her too easily. If he can easily mess up someone much faster than him, literally no one else aside from regenerators or durables could survive a fight with him. For the most part, I actually wouldn't care, but if I want any villains to pose a threat they're going to need anti-illusion capabilities. That, and the other players would hardly be fond of their characters getting easily wasted.

Besides that, you guys can post again whenever you want to. Though if you're interacting with NP Cs I introduced, I would like to be involved with what happens.

You know, there's that small part of me that's worried I'm going to die in the first encounter of the game. Depending how this goes, I can totally imagine being abducted by the military and never heard from again...

...Also, the stupid thing is not letting me edit my post for some reason and I got the italics and bold print messed up. So, until such a time that I can fix that... that's what's going on.

Well, I think the issue is that when roleplaying, you're really only supposed to have control of your own character. You can attack someone, but you can't just say, "I kill the bad person. Give me xp now!" It's all action and reaction. That's what makes it fun is that alot of times characters can come up with solutions you wouldn't have thought of yourself, and that causes players to need to think on their feet alot more.

Also, beware of falling pianos.

Oh please, the bear is obviously going to shank you instead of military capture. *cough* I admit, superpowered bear does sound stupid (I blame recently reading Bears Are Bad News and the fact Conduits could also be animals). Probably just end up being a zoologist who can generate animal skins that's mostly non-vital fluff.

I can now understand being rejected once due to the GM being too paranoid I would use my potentially broken ability (integrating technology) to easily screw over techno-villains/heroes despite myself saying otherwise.

Given Yecotis is a murderer, outside of moments of extra insanity, there's no reason he wouldn't gloriously spam his ability. I just think you should tone down the extent of his power for now, as I honestly don't want to just fling Claire Bennets and Colossi (X-Men) everywhere.

By the way, the Mayor is a woman. I was actually considering Yecotis himself being in an illusion due to mistaking the Mayor as male, but that would just be jerkish.

Nah, Yecotis just made her think she was male and noted as much in his own personal observation. He was still coming down from creating the illusion.

Susie is just watching what your two NP Cs in the library are doing for now, so your input would be appreciated.

Insanity and illusionary abilities are wonderful tools for scapegoating/retconning...

Time to sit this out and wait for the ካካማዕበል to die down. Maybe. Possibly. I'm counting on the military evacuating Haile's neighborhood, honestly.

Also, giant super powered bear isn't silly at all. That's just awesome.

Well, *appropriate literary term*, after the speedster died I finally figured out what I was going to do with her character. However, the Host and Symbiote are technically two separate entities with mostly independent survival. If their Host dies, the Symbiote will either attempt to escape or puppeteer/attempt revival based on its own personal mind. Miss Emily's Symbiote is fully aware of the concept of sleep, but doesn't know/understand the meaning of Death. Thus proceeding to puppeteer her corpse under the belief Emily is simply recovering.

Regarding the two Hosts you introduced Wolf, I'm going to guess "Shiner" has a thing for crime shows: Thus explaining his ability to selectively shine down light. I would like to know more about the two, and I assume the two had been tracking him to manage their trap (also assuming the "victim" was his companion or another).

Though I would also like to know why they've been planning for years to expunge a military quarantine that's only been up for four days. Besides that, I'll admit: I was expecting Tojin to end up at the library. That doesn't matter however, and I think I'll have some of the "Military" start an evacuation due to reports of an escalating death & disappearance toll.

You know, it's kinda foreboding when you keep putting the word 'Military' in quotes.
