Point. The APC variants of the LAV can carry an infantry squad, but the 90mm-gun variant is theoretically incapable of carrying any infantry at all. Offloading some ammo might allow room for one or two dismounts per vehicle, but that's all.

I take it this will be a relatively short patrol, then, instead of the "two weeks in the bush" type.
