So the new tour is on sale and I know I got my tickets.

What songs are we expecting on the set list?

The band have been filling the gaps in their catalog for recorded live performances. With that in mind, I think this may be the tour we finally get Vapor Trail.

I\'d love to see Available Light or Cut to the Chase too, but they would be BIG surprises if I got to see them.

That said, 2 years ago I started weeping in the crowd when they played Manhattan Project. I never thought I\'d see the day ;_;

Anyone else going?

I help out on some silly webcomic about mages called morphE.

Maybe. If it's confirmed they'll perform La Villa Strangiato again like in the Time Machine Tour, or if they play some of my favorite songs from them that they've never played live (Tears, Different Strings, Losing It).

Since it's the 8th in the city they start the tour in, R40 starts today!

It's been months and the R40 tour has already gone through many stops. Just a few weeks ago, they performed in Las Vegas, Nevada again, but I wasn't able to go because I was on vacation in another country at the time. Heard it was a good show though.

I'm also hearing rumors that R40 may be Rush's last ever tour, due to ongoing health issues that Alex and Neil are going through.

They released the first single from the tour a week or two ago, and they've put out a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZmK4PKrJ60

R40 Live was released about a week ago, to good reception. So that's good.

Especially since, as it turns out, it's probably the last large-scale tour they'll ever make, what with recent news that Rush drummer Neil Peart has officially retired.

It's not 100% confirmed, but it sure sounds like it. He never explicitly said he's retiring, but he said this:

Lately Olivia has been introducing me to new friends at school as "My dad—He's a retired drummer." True to say—funny to hear. And it does not pain me to realize that, like all athletes, there comes a time to... take yourself out of the game. I would rather set it aside then face the predicament described in our song "losing it" ("Sadder still to watch it die, than never to have known it")

sad

Then again, just a day after news got out about it, Geddy Lee commented that Neil *wasn't* retiring after all, (or at least that nothing's been decided on it) so maybe it's all just a big misunderstanding.
