- There's options to have certain frames around your games when you play them.
- You can play with a 4:3 aspect ratio, a "Pixel Perfect" ratio that is 1:1, and 4:3 with CRT filter.
- Like the NES classic there, you have 4 restore points, but i'm not sure if it's per game or total. Probably the former.
- You have an option to rewind from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on the game.
- Also the list of games that was mentioned has some games exclusive to the Super Famicom Mini compared to the Super NES Mini.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Still waiting for Amazon Canada to open preorders, whenever that may be.
Not too chuffed about the Japanese-exclusive games. Super Soccer and Panel de Pon (Tetris Attack) aren't deal-breakers, but it might have been nice if Fire Emblem was on the U.S. version.
Not too surprised by "Rewind" mode, which is basically glorified savestates. Maybe they're just throwing a bone to PC players who've been emulating this stuff for years.
From the videos that released today about Star Fox 2, it definitely has some changes from the leaked rom. Different font for text, more/changed animations, etc.
I'm hoping the system can be modded eventually. I'd plan to add a bunch of additional games to it to fill out the franchises.

So I hear the SNES Classic Edition preorders are out, and are already out of stock overnight worldwide. Is this true?
Pretty much.
i. hear. a. sound. And here I thought I would get notified when that product would be available at my local stores, seeing as how I subscribed to their news and all.
Those are terrible for knowing the day of when something comes out. Most of the time those will tell you...days afterwards or even a week afterwards.
For what it's worth, while online preorders were being snatched up by scalpers and the lucky ones, especially in places with no limit, in-store preorders were relatively easy for many people.
The one store that I know of that has them up for pre-order also ran out of pre-orders. Sad.
Release day adventures are go!
i. hear. a. sound.Miiverse, Wii U chat, and TVii are shutting down on November 9th.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."It was nice knowing you Miiverse, you were a good source of meme hell.
The others served no point in existing. Apologies to anyone who actually used them.
Will we ever know why metroid couldn't crawl?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI'm disappointed they didn't keep Miiverse for Switch.
What does Switch use again for talking with other players? I can't really remember.
One Strip! One Strip!Aren't they using the Switch Online phone application for features like online chat?
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805Oh right.
Wait, I mis-phrased that. I mean, what function does Switch has that serves as Miiverse?
One Strip! One Strip!Nothing. Splatoon 2 has the drawing aspect, but that's limited to it only.
And to be fair, nobody really used miiverse besides younger players so I don't see why there needed to be a replacement.
There's also that Share button to share screenshots to your social media of choice.
Goddammit, Schezo...My only concern losing Miiverse is that stage sharing in Mario Maker and Smash won't work anymore.
I actually used Miiverse quite often. I keep my online and real life selves separate, so it was a good way to let me show people what I was doing without knowing who I was.
One Strip! One Strip!Losing Miiverse stage in SSB 4 will be a disappointment. Hopefully they at least supply it with archived posts.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I actually used it once in a while, sometimes i got something to say in certain games. I also like keeping screenshots in my computer, and this is just the most convenient way to do it for me.
Goddammit, Schezo...I'm going to miss the Miiverse stage in Smash, but I wasn't too attached to anything else.
More details about the shutdown. A few features in certain games will be disabled as well, including Youtube and tournament functionality in Mario Kart and Smash Bros, custom level sharing in Smash Bros and Mario vs Donkey Kong, and the BLADE report feature in Xenoblade Chronicles X.
I don't imagine anyone's going to miss Blade Reports.
surely u mean capcpom
Anyway, those Gamescom things are not really 'Directs', just presentations.
