"Baka baka baka, teme teme teme, baka baka, teme baka."....Hi, Ferg. Sorry about that last RP. Life. Anyway. May be interested.
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Egads, there is some interest after all! o:
In any case, I'm happy to welcome you aboard. Please take your stance on the problem of playing out battles in regards to things such as experience points and what not.
@Grim: Don't worry about it. It can get everyone. :)
How do lizards fly?Looks interesting.
Interest! I'd like to voice that I'm not the type who likes to crunch numbers for R Ps, though.

Yeah, I'm gonna also say that I don't like number crunching either. If I maybe so bold I would suggest a letter grade system ala Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Super Robot! SUPER ROBOT! ◥▶◀◤ Also, if some of my posts don't make sense, please take note that I might lack sleeTentatively interested. What's the ruling on using canon personae?
Hey, its good to see you again.
I'd love to play in this.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Interest. Is there any sort of rule for how people first gain their Persona in this setting (I.e. Would it be born from a 'oh god I don't wanna die' situation sort of like P3)?
Also, are the Fool and World arcana off-limits due to how OP they are in the canon verse, or are they different here?

they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobThat is a good question. What about a "I have learned to accept my faults and fix them," Sort of situation Ala Persona 4.
@whizzerd: Yeah, I was wondering how Personas were obtained, too.
Might try this out, though I'm honestly against the numbers based mechanic outside of giving our arcana stats.
Good to be backInterested
-dramatic music ensues-I did kinda omitted all of this, didn't I? ^_^;
Alright, here goes:
- Canon Personas are fine, just perhaps with some other look. No deliquent-looking Izanagi, for one example.
- Personas can be either already there with someone or be awakened via confronting your own Shadow, the same way it works in P4. I leave that judgment up to you although the latter will most likely require you to write your Shadow and most likely organize its battle.
- Seeing as the majority is against numbers, we'll stick to some simplified grade system. I can't say I have this one figured out just yet, but it probably does save me a lot of work. ^_^;
- Fool is fair game, seeing as MC won't have that Arcana anyway, rather he's got The Emperor, kinda like first Persona's protagonist. World and Judgment are traditionally high-end Arcanas and as such will likely be off-limits, at least for starters.
- There can be two people of the same Arcana, no problem with that.
- No Wild Cards if you can help it. I suppose that over time everybody will grab a back-up Persona, but the very beginning of the RP is likely not the time for that.
I guess that's about it, isn't it? ^_^; Glad to see so much interest. I'm awaiting your char sheets, ladies and gentlemen.
How do lizards fly?Hm, okay-doke, though I have a few more questions if you don't mind ( ;^^)
-
Is this set in the real world (if so, which country?) or in a fictional land? - For Stats, should we put the Personas stats as they are at Lvl. 1 (Magic: 4, Luck: 7) or just put something like Magic: Low, Luck: High?
- Is there any age restrictions?
- What sort of person is the MC? I'm guessing we all meet because of our relationship with them, but it's kinda hard to explain my character's relationship to a person I don't know
I am a smart person with excellent reading comprehension

they/them || "Forgive me, regent of queer amphibians" - Lt.BGobIt did say it was a city in Washington.
Good to be backI'll post my app as soon as you decide on a grading system and I figure out a character concept

Quick question: What's the age range for our characters?
Got a character concept planned out. I'll do a write up as soon as I'm back on my laptop.
Edit: Are we going with traditional high school persona users?

-dramatic music ensues-Okay, to answer questions:
- I've updated the first post regarding grading both Stats and Elements. Give it a look. :)
- Age is probably going to be 16+, at the very least. We'll be going with standard high-school Persona cast of characters, but I see no reason to not have one be older. Just not all of them. ^_^;
- As for the MC, I promise to post his character sheet tomorrow.
Fwahaha. Ferg might recognize this character!
- Name: Marianne West
- Age: 18
- Gender: Female
- Appearance: A tall, redheaded young lady with noticably refined features. She has intelligent green eyes, and a look on her face that says "My way or the highway!". Tall for her age at almost 6 feet, and always dressed in impeccably fancy clothes, she's quite imposing.
- Weapon: A black leather whip. Yeah.
- Arcana: III- The Empress
- Personality: First thing you'd notice? She's very outspoken. Marianne has no qualms about speaking her mind, and often in a brutally honest manner. She's very bossy, and will often point out the mistakes and flaws of her peers. She's haughty and irritable, but strangely motherly. Though she might not admit it, but she is quick to care for people she interacts with and the only reason she bosses and insults them is because she genuinely cares for them and wishes for them to be at their best. She is at her most prideful when one of her friends reach excellence. A hardworker and perfectionist by nature, she is as hard on herself as she is on others. She's very overprotective and prone to overeacting. Has one hell of a complex regarding her terribad cooking.
- History: Marianne is the oldest daughter of Lucy West-the vice-mayor of Rogers. Lucy is a widow, whose husband was a biologist from the United Kongdom. After her husband died, Lucy and her three daughtera, Marianne, Mina and Rebecca moved to Rogers where the silver tongued Lucy made a name for herself in politics. Marianne and her sisters lived relatively normally...until the suicide in city hall. Her mother had been there in person, and she was never the same. Just a week ago, her mother too had succumbed to the suicidal impulse spreading, and Marianne was thrust into the role of family head. Being in her last year of high school, Marianne also works part time to support her sisters. A few days ago, she had a strange dream in which she faced a creature taking her form- a Shadow. Barely managing to overcome it, Marianne received the power of Persona.
Persona
- Name: Morganna
- Appearance: A feminine humanoid covered in black and gold armor from head to toe. Her face is covered with an elaborate opera mask, and her face is set in a perpetual smirk. A gold cape is wrapped around her shoulders, in one hand she holds a large tome and in the other, a small dagger.
- Stats:
- Strength: E
- Magic: A
- Endurance: D
- Agility: B
- Luck: C
- Elements:
- Weak: Hama,Zio
- Resist: Agi
- Block: Mudo
- Abilities:
- Agi
- Dia
- Mudo
- Mind Charge
- Special Ability: Faerie Queen: Deals fire-elemental damage to all foes. Power increases the higher-leveled the Persona is. Also has a small (20%) chance to inflict either Fear or Charm on targets.
- Name: Hector Ingram
- Age: 18
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: Hector stands at 5'10" and has a thin physique that makes him look underfed. He has dark brown eyes that always seem to be on the lookout for something. He dresses very casually- usually jeans, a T-shirt, a windbreaker, and a baseball cap. He has short, curly brown hair and high cheekbones. His skin is a bit on the pale side, and he walks with a slight slouch.
- Arcana: IX- The Hermit
- Weapon: Hatchet
- Personality: Hector is a quiet, inquisitive young man with an interest in conspiracy theories and the paranormal. One might have been able to call him obsessed with conspiracies, but fortunately Hector doesn't ramble incessantly about his theories. In fact, he tends to keep the conspiracy talk to a minimum around other people. Hector usually keeps to himself because he suffers from social anxiety.
- History: Hector is an only child, living with his mother who divorced his alcoholic father six years ago. The divorce was a messy ordeal, one that Hector dealed with by getting into conspiracy theories. He currently has his own blog where he posts his own ideas about various cover-ups and weird occurrences that go unexplained. The self-immolations have been gathering a lot of internet chatter and Hector is working on assembling theories for the reason behind them.
He has not awakened his Persona yet, as he still needs to accept his Shadow.
Persona
- Name - Mothman
- Appearance: Mothman
- Stats: Stats are determined by a letter grade system from S(best) to F(worst). I'll evaluate each stat distribution individually, but don't expect to have S's right off the bat.
- Strength - C
- Magic - B
- Endurance - E
- Agility - A
- Luck - D
- Elements:
- Weak - Fire
- Resist - Electricity
- Block - N/A
- Repel - N/A
- Absorb - N/A
- Skills: Zio, Sukukaja, Evil Smile, Fear Boost
- Special Attack: Bad Omen- Inflicts Fear on all enemies, then deals electric damage to one enemy at random. Power increases the higher-leveled the Persona is.
(I hope you won't mind, I'd like for Hector to get his Persona in-roleplay.)

Whenever someone commits a flashy suicide media give them a passing glance, comment on whatever was the reason for going off in a blaze and then usually forget about the hapless dead altogether.
Such was the case of a man by the name of Orwell Jackson. On the day of 11th of March, 2017, he marched right to the city hall of Rogers, a middle-sized city in cold Washington. After declaring the mayor and all his associates money-grubbing scum he doused himself in petrol and with the shocked audience for witnesses, self-immolated himself, to the end cursing the ones that supposedly forced him to do such a desperate move.
This mildly depressing event rapidly escalated into something much more sinister however: every now and then, men and women of various age would kill themselves in exact same way as late Orwell Jackson. There was no rhyme or reason in-between every suicide. To make matters worse, rumors spread all across Rogers that Mr. Jackson supposedly faked his own death somehow... or rather, that he didn't die, but rather "ascended"...
With this mystery in mind, I welcome you in my first attempt to create a Persona RP. The premise is simple: a group of Persona Users tries to solve the grim mystery of Rogers. To do that they will make use of their own ingenuity and Personas: manifestations of their inner psyches that possess magical abilities that can take on Shadows - mysterious creatures that lurk wherever death is about to strike another victim...
