Am I justified in putting an example of the work in the section for its adaptation, rather than source, when the trope is present in both but there's an obvious case of Adaptation Displacement?

At least in the West where the source material isn't even avaliable in its entirety.

Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan No Shana, Bakemonogatari, these sorts of things. It feels all kinds of weird to put the examples in the Literature section.
