'' Steel. A village constructed in the middle of nowhere, deep within the deserts of Osri. It was built in order to provide a peaceful resting place for adventurers to stock up, perhaps sleep, and move on. It was also viewed as a safe haven for outcasts, as the community accepts anyone with open arms. As such, some have decided to settle in and become permanent residents of Steel, bumping the number of creatures living in Steel to around 300.

As you finish you eat your breakfast in the community's socialist Dining Room, you vaguely hear birds wildly tweeting. A quick look outside the window reveals they are flying away in their flocks towards the West. People also veer towards the West, running in agony and sheer fear... ''

Lord Of The Desert is a Role Playing game focused on mystery, investigation and a pinch of combat. I've developed a streamlined and minimalistic version of D&D 5e called Desert Role Playing System (DRPS). As par with D&D, there's quite a bit to read and understand. I've made a Google Doc short rulebook, but I can't post links yet, unfortunately.

Combat isn't explained in the rulebook as it won't be the main focus. Also, it'll be laborious and difficult to plan strategies, calculate rolls and give results on a forum. If you have any questions about DRPS, ask away.

I'm interested - it'll take me a little to get through the rule book but I like the concept and the detail.

Like what I see but you didn't list the classes or the benefits thereof. Coming later?

I thought about classes but then I settled for the "build your own class" outline. Combat isn't the main focus of this campaign, but rather everyone will be using their skills and tactics to compensate for one another in roleplay and combat. I am planning to expand DRPS into a system anyone can implement in their RPG, and will include classes and spells.
