Interesting. I wonder who will return. Will all of the original 12 make a comeback? What will happen to Elena, Hugo, Poison and Rolento? What new mechanics will be introduced?

Also, I still feel, despite the models being based off Street Fighter 4, that there is enough immense improvement to justify calling them good. Ryu and Chun Li looks so much better.

Wait, was there any new footage in there? I couldn't tell, and it looks like Capcom is taking down any alternate videos (so I probably can't watch it again).

What makes this doubly awkward is that not only would this game likely be one of the biggest at EVO, Microsoft is EVO's main sponsor now.

But it's also getting cross platform with PC! That's probably why.

What's funny is people are going to see destructable backgrounds and new side areas opening up and act like this is new somehow.

@Hashil: The second bit's new to Street Fighter, which is all most people think of when they think of fighting games. You got a point on the destroyable stages, though.

You know, I hope that this is not going to be the same game we have been playing for the last quarter of a century. Sure it's still a great game and I don't think they should mess with the core gameplay too much but Capcom should look at what it could offer to have it stand up to other fighters. Character Customization? The option of making it more like a real fight where the life bars are removed and one attack can be all it takes to end the fight. Better damage modelling in if the head takes too much damage a KO obviously, but if the body or leg does more a TKO because the fighter cannot continue. In depth story modes for each fighter as well as the standard eight matches of old.

Why would I want to buy this when I already have Street/Super/Arcade/Ultra 4?

I would like it if Street Fighter copied the story mode from Mortal Kombat 9, or the idea of it at least. I don't want them to copy what happens though, otherwise we'll get Juri one-shotting most of the good guys, and Dhalsim sacrificing himself to stop her.

Joking aside, anything that could make the plot less reliant on piecing together arcade endings and figuring out which are canon is welcomed by me.

I'm not even sure what wants is a fighting game.

No, he wants a fighting game. He just wants it to be Bushido Blade.

So Sony apparently did for Street Fighter and Capcom what Nintendo did for Platinum Games.

Had I a PS 4, I'd be all for slapping down a few Bison Dollars for it.

But I wonder, what new characters could they bring to the table? And are they going to pull another Decrapre on us again?
