I don't really see how the page image illustrates this trope. Is it the gun that the girl on the right is holding? Because holding a gun by itself doesn't signify evil. I just see a Cute Monster Girl and another cute girl who look like they're friends.

Opened, and yeah, the current is poor.

Looked through examples and found this fan art. I could've sworn there was a similar shot from the actual movie but that would require me watching the entire movie again...Only issue is it might get mixed up with Enfant Terrible.

Considering that the gun is being pointed directly into Morrigan's back, I think that elevates the pic into Keep Until Better Image Suggested territory.

Someone ought to convert the image to something other than a .bmp file; it takes forever to load.

I totally missed that part of the picture because the gun is covered by flowers...

I did not see the gun until I searched for it. My vote is for Pull.

I thought that she was holding a sub-machine gun and pointing it up and to the left. She's holding it weird, her thumb is on the trigger. It's hard to see anyway with the flowers in the way, so I still think that it's not a good image.

Maybe this fan art of Carcer Dunn or this of Dahlia Hawthorne?

In my opinion, #3 is perfect.

3 is the best suggestion so far.

Add me to the list of people who did not see the gun in the current image until it was pointed out. Definitely not a good illustration.

Of the suggestions, 3 seems the best to me, assuming we can get permission to use it.

That fanart reminds me of another trope...do we have something where someone's shadow is different from what they should be casting?

Also on Foreshadowing. I'd be okay with the Darla Dimple suggestion, but it seems to have some writing on it.

Well, if we can't use 3 for being too similar to The Shadow Knows, maybe something like this or this?

I still like 3. I'm okay with using The Shadow Knows as a visual shorthand here. It gets the trope across.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Reading through its description, The Shadow Knows seem to be talking about disguises (i.e. showing a character's physical true form) rather than their "true colors" anyway.

I don't like the half-and-half imagery because it looks more like a Split Personality (edit: and in fact we have a very similar image on that page). For this trope, there needs to be a veneer of beauty disguising a heart of darkness. The shadow gets that across better.
