Castle Clash is a Strategy Fantasy game for the Android and iOS devices made by I got games (IGG)

It is very much a copy of Clash of Clans that you might know by its incessant ads everywhere on the internet. It is rife with awful things like Bribing Your Way to Victory (gems), some Pv P, some problems with actually gearing up and requires loads of time. Sparse time, however.

I like it because this is the sort of game I can check every now and then from work without having to dedicate it hours at a time to progress.

It works with HeroUnits which add a particularly caustic layer of Bribing Your Way to Victory as some of them are very powerful but can only be obtained via purchasing gems and what is essentially gambling.

Regardless of its flaws I still like this game. I am wondering if anyone else knows of it, plays it, or something.

Not to confuse with Castle Crashers

I ran the numbers and it turns out the entire class of building destroying troops are useless because standard infantry units demolish buildings more efficiently.

No point in building anything other than dragons, ogres, and perhaps dwarves.

I always suspected that a little bit, heh. I did, however, always build a mix class of groups on each Army camp, consisting mostly of the dragons (which I have not got until very recently). I am not that far into the game to have everything so far...I do not even have a Pumpkin Duke which means I am practically worthless in Mesa Dungeons :(

By Dwarves though, I assume you mean the Riflemen, right?

The Hammer Dwarves are better than Ogres at killing small useless ground units, simply because the Ogres overkill those units so badly. I've extended the page above to add a final table of space-time ratios. While dragons kill almost everything very quickly, the Ogres last long enough to come out as the very best unit in 10 out of 13 head to head matchups. Having the Ogres stop to smash down walls (which they do better than any other troop) simply levels the playfield for your grounded heroes to follow.

However there is a rock-paper-scissors tradeoff between the Shotgun Dwarves, Ogres and Dragons, so check to see which category your usual raid targets are fielding (for me it's mostly Griffons at the moment), and build that which kills those targets.

Oh most people overdo it with the Dragons, I have found.

Still, since none of my high level units are even level 5 yet I think I have some leeway before I get there. But I think I amgoing to do a bit more dragons than others now, thanks for the math.

I still need to get lucky enough to get PD anyways :(

Oh. What champs should I buy with shards. I was saving for Immortep but idk if Immortep is rendered useless by Vlad if I ever get him. No I dont spend much money on this game but on occasion I do >>

I am terrible, I know.

You are better off producing one type of unit per camp, with the slowest to produce units in the highest level camps.

What's the trope for the FIFO, with line cutting, production queues?

I am not sure there is a trope for that. There is the Mook Maker for things that MAKE the mooks, but I do not think there is a trope refering to the specific subject of production queues being altered by what you make.

At least we have tropes to cover your village being razed by monsters and fine five minutes later.

Well, I can see that, but still I could have sworn I had read a trope which was specifically about that: the lone villager rebuilding the entire empire rather than the buildings respawning and such

Time to rebuild the deleted CC tropes page? (I can just copy over Clash Of Clans and change a few images.)

Huh. There was a CC trope page? And it was deleted? Why?

Well, the Dwarf Rifleman seems like a direct reference to the Warcraft style of Riflemen, and the Hammer Dwarf is almost naked...probably because of his huge belly. I think only the Dryad is the only non Striperiffic heroine of all...

Not getting mugged by Ogres is the best perk for being a flying hero. Rest of the troop types really don't bother heroes that much.

Moltanica is flying, right? As is the Spirit Mage?

Also is Tapjoy working? It has not worked for me in ages.

Tapjoy only worked after I switched from default to Google accounts in settings.

So how is Santa Boom working out?

I have yet to see him in action. I imagine he does not likely outshine many of the other older better guys (that you have to basically pay for)

Still waiting to see a Santa Boom resurrection, but he is a pain in the arena.

Huh. I thought he would be outshined by Orcslayer in the Arenas, as well as Ares.

As usual Ogres aren't a complete improvement over level 5 hammer dwarves until they reach level 3.

Oh. I have every last tier at level 1. I did not know it was still more worth to use the gryphons and centaurs over the faerie dragons and dwarven riflemen...
