Dracula Vlad Tepes, formerly Mathias Cronqvist. Ever since he chose to forsake God and become his opposite the world hasn't felt true peace, forever threatened by his impure might and the legions of monsters that gathered under his demonic standard. One man stood against him: Leon Belmont. With a magical whip that would later be known as Vampire Killer he and his descendants bravely fought against the scourge Dracula brought with his mere presence. They would always vanquish him after a grueling battle, but he would always return. Weaker or stronger, looking the same or different... but return.

Many valiant families and organizations did their best to eradicate the evil that is Dracula, one by one. Belmonts, Belnades, The Ecclesia, Morrises, Lecardes, Aulins... They all succeeded in keeping him at bay.

But as it was said, Dracula always returns.

Year 1975. Out of the blue an ominous castle appears in the middle of Transylvania, throwing the local populace into panic and the Ceaucescu regime into confusion. Missing people, tales about creatures so horrible that no words can describe them, the dead rising from their graves... the sheer terror of the people was something that couldn't simply be described with words of logic.

It's a small world these days. Television made it easy to see what was happening in Romania. As such a group of people knowledgable with such matters - vampire hunters, witches, sorcerers and other such characters - ventured towards the dreaded Castlevania to localize and destroy Dracula once again.

At the same time however, Moscow sent its own team to both destroy the castle with its lord and cover up any traces of the incident: the fabled Mech-1. The directives are clear enough.

"No witnesses."

And with that badly written intro out of the way I welcome thee in a Castlevania RP. Here, as a protector of mankind, you shall battle the undead, beasts, machines and fallen to make your way towards the accursed Demon Lord and slay him, so that the sun can rise once again. Beware however: this time you will be pitted against a fellow group that targets both you and the evil. Be vigilant, be just, smite evil.

I'll post a char sheet once there's enough interest, something around five-six people.

I definitely want in on this, I love the Castlevania series

Question through, what kind of character are you looking for? Because I was thinking of playing a Men In Black style character, or perhaps more specifically Delta Green

Sometimes I even amaze myself. Currently: Nice and sneaky like

If they can deal with supernatural, they're in. Whether they do so with their own brand of supernatural or just by kicking ass with enough weapons doesn't matter all that much.

Generally the only restrictions regarding future PC's is that they are not in any way connected to mentioned families and are human(unless you can justify why a non-human would aid such a cause).

Well, the year is 1975, so if any kind of secret agent like that existed back in the 70's, it'd likely work for this RP. I don't think we'd have anyone be a Belmont though, as they disappeared for over 200 years due to Richer's (unwitting) misuse of the Vampire Killer whip, and the bloodline was shamed and unable to use the whip again until 1999. That's why Ecclesia formed, and why the Morris and Lecarde families had to fight against Dracula's forces during World Wars I and II.

Also, Ferg, is it okay if I have my character use a version of the Combat Cross as his primary weapon?

No, I meant one like from the Lords of Shadow trilogy. It won't be the same one from there, as it'll be slightly more modernized with technology of the 70's. I assume this'll take place in the original timeline, right?

Correct. The names of the families + Ecclesia are a good hint for that.

With that said, I know nothing of Lords of Shadow, so I would need a further description.

Alright, seeing as we have aforementioned six people, how about them character sheets?

  • Name: Self-explanatory. Any aliases go here.
  • Age: Let's say 16 is a minimum. I leave that to your better judgment.
  • Appearance: Either link with a picture or a description are good.
  • Personality: What are they on the inside? What makes them tick? What are their interests if any?
  • Abilities: Anything of their own person. That includes magic and such.
  • Equipment: Anything they have on themselves, their weaponry etc.
  • Brief History: How was their life like? Who tought of the supernatural? How come did they venture to combat Dracula?

@Daltar: I suppose some basic understanding of the main timeline might come in handy. Conversely, I should probably do the same with Lords of Shadow. ^_^;

My character:

  • Name: Roger Fields AKA "Mr. Johnson"
  • Age: 41.
  • Appearance: Yeah, totally not a secret agent. Underneath the trench coat is a dress shirt, vest, and tie.
  • Personality: A no-nonsense field agent, thorough in his mission and what he describes as "properly paranoid". First impressions usually make him out as very cold, impersonal, and perhaps even emotionless, but instead he is merely dutiful to his country and organisation, and tries to keep a level of professionalism at all times as a representative of both. However, his pessimistic, frank (when he's not lying to your face), and stoic attitude makes him unfriendly even when he is just shooting the breeze. But that and his levelheadedness makes him an ally in the field.
  • Abilities:
    • Being very much human, Mr. Johnson has no supernatural or paranormal powers to call his own. However, as both a veteran of war and as a field agent he is in top fitness and is mentally sharp.
    • An accomplished marksman and skilled in CQC, although this is of limited effect against monsters. This is made up with tactical and stealth training.
    • Skills in a number of investigation tools, including lockpicks and surveillance bugs
    • A near encyclopedic knowledge of monsters, demons, horrors, and their weaknesses and abilities. His need for travel also gives him some knowledge in local customs and other languages.
  • Equipment: Making up for his lack of inhuman ability, Roger is armed with a varied supply of mundane and mystical equipment
    • In a holster under his trench-coat, a high powered revolver, ammo, and several speed loaders already set.
    • A large flask of holy water
    • Combat knife
    • Short range radio (although it's usefulness in Dracula's castle is questionable at best)
    • A cigarette case with lighter. None of them are bombs, but it does hide his lockpicking tools
    • A pouch containing a pen 'n' paper, metal file, small hand drill, crowbar, small mirror, magnifying glass, camera, flashlight, and hand scope.
    • In his briefcase (which is larger than the one in the picture), holds a number of much more powerful weapons. The case itself is also hardened and waterproof, and oculd be used as a bludgeon
      • a hidden submachine gun, although it had been taken apart to be compact in the case and needs to be put back together to be used.
      • Grenades (limited) and one demo charge
      • Mystical equipment, including silver bullets, stakes, a baton made from cold iron, numerous charms, and a few other oddities.
    • Edit: Wallet, includes badge and identification.
  • Brief History: Born in a poor family in the city of Boston in the year of 1934, Roger was a bright kid that that was going nowhere due to his family's standing. During the midst of the Korean War, desperate for money and whipped with anti-communist nationalism, Roger freely enlisted. War hardened him, and he returned home bitter and jaded. But when he thought that was the end of his career as a soldier, he was approached by those looking for young and patriotic men willing to fight for the county against ANY threat. He agreed, and he was brought into the secret organisation known as the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. He was brought into a world a monsters and demons, and trained to fight them.

  • At the recent arrival of Dracula's castle, the BPRD was sent into a scramble, linking with other anti-paranormal organisations as well as more traditional vampire hunters in order to quickly fight the threat. However another threat loomed over any major action: The USSR and the communist government of Romania meant that any large scale assault on the castle would be taken as aggression towards Russia from the western block, and so instead the BPRD sent in a lone senior agent by the name of "Mr. Johnson" to assist any vampire hunters also traveling to Transylvania, before the communist could get their hands on it.

  • Name: Alice Zelma Gemini
  • Age: 22
  • Appearance: "The divine is the providence of God."
  • Personality: A bit of an overzealous Christian girl that firmly believes that 'miracles' and 'magic' are two different things. Those that are stained black by the enemies of God are INDEED enemies and those that do not know God's warm embrace are lost sheep she seeks to guide to the promised land. A tad arrogant, very crass and, on her worst days, hateful to others that don't subscribe to her faith. Others in her division see her as a religious zealot while she sees herself as a Savior of Man. Maybe an obsession there about being exactly like the 'Holy Father's Son' was...? No one knows.
  • Abilities:
    • Marionette Whickett: Strings that Alice uses to control her very many many dolls. She's actually capable of weaponizing the strings to cut and eviscerate things on their own. Quite handy at combat while using them.
    • Marionette Candle: The flow of lifeforce into the dolls that Alice carries around. They become extensions of herself while in combat, being able to handle small daggers and blades to charge the enemy. They can stab, weave and dodge with the assistance of their 'Master'.
    • Marionette Wisp: Channeling lifeforce into the dolls to fire off projectiles at enemies. The rate and power of the projectiles depends on the amount of lifeforce used.
    • Knowledge of Exorcism
    • Knowledge of Church Techniques
  • Equipment:
    • Church Uniform: Her clothes that she walks around in.
    • Marionette Dolls: The dolls that Alice carries around with her. She usually has thirty or forty on her at a time. Maximum amount she can control at a time is usually ten to twelve. If they're destroyed, she repairs them.
    • Daggers, Blades, etc.: A number of tiny blades she carries around so she can either throw them and use them on her own, or allow her puppets to have a crack at them.
    • Holy Scriptures, Holy Water, etc.: Sacraments and Anti-Demon/Vampire armaments that folks of the church usually use to expel evil.
  • Brief History: Her father was a neglectful man obsessed with the power to create 'life. Be it dolls, through artificial engineering - he was a man dedicated to his word. Alice, by that part, was neglected for studies. He had no interest so she was thrown away — but how she did admire his practices. When thrown away, she was rescued from poverty by the good grace of the Church. She was taken in, taught the good word and there she resolved herself to fight against 'darkness of Mankind'. Of course, her personality was warped due to her livlihood before being rescued. Now she utilizes the practices of her father in conjunction with the power of 'miracles' to destroy the enemies of God. And of course that means venturing to Dracula's Castle to put a stop to it.

  • Name: Lilyan Rosalind Molhs Belnades - Sister Natasha Crux
  • Age: 38 - Looks early twenties
  • Appearance: The appearance of a skillful witch is a weapon to be changed like any change of clothes. However, Lilyan's default appearance is that of her youth, a dazzling woman with long, slightly wavy blond hair and icy blue eyes. With a thin build of tasteful but alluring female curves, Lilyan relishes in her appearance and lets it feed her vanity. However, due to recent events she has altered her appearance to adopt a new persona... letting her hair be shorter, shoulder length and fiery red, her face and body be filled with a few freckles and her eyes darken. Her body has also grown a bit more sturdy and athletic
  • Personality: Lilyan is a woman that lives and works exclusively for Lilyan herself. Vain, prideful and confident, she has great force of personality and a zest for life and greed for the good things found within. She does find fulfillment in hard work, specially if it leads to new comforts or power, though she absolutely hates menial tasks which she seems beneath her. Power is a source of great motivation as is wealth in order for Lilyan to find new ways to express her freedom and enjoy all that life has to offer. Knowledge and magic are great passions of hers, as both are paths to greater power and more importantly, avenues to express herself and take on the world. While quite definitely not a saint and with a shady record of lying, stealing, attacking and other unsavory activities, Lilyan still claims she has done nothing to push her over the edge into true darkness... however she's not afraid to dip into shadows and do what's needed to get to the top as long as it doesn't mean sacrificing the person she is for it. She also likes all sorts of animals and spirits, traveling and doesn't put a big premium on her humanity. So far as she's concerned, this party on Earth is the best deal she's got and as such, her ultimate motivation beyond more power is to find a means to achieve immortality.
  • Abilities: Lilyan is a witch and mage, knowledgeable in both the practical and theoretical when it comes to a wide variety of magic. Knowledge of the three basic attack elements, brewing of potions, alchemy, dark arts, sealing, use of basic familiars and transformation are all within her repertoire. On the physical side, she has good knowledge of technique wielding different weapons, however she depends on magical enhancements in order to make for her rather lacking physical conditioning. While fit and healthy, the only way she can keep up with other hunters in direct battle with monsters is by using her magic to buff her otherwise delicate body. She looks forward to delving into Dracula's castle to obtain familiars and servants, new spells, artifacts and powers as well as a means to cheat Death and gain Immortality.
  • Equipment:
    • Lightning-Struck Staff: A black staff of polished wood, enchanted while having a lightning bolt strike upon its wood. Serves as a conduit of magic while also having the properties of lightning. Can charge itself with energy to unleash blows of lightning or launch bolts at the enemy. It is also highly resilient to damage and with the proper spells, capable of flight.
    • Deep Pockets Cape: A cloak which serves as an extra dimensional storage space, allowing for a great amount of items to be placed weightlessly into her pockets. It also affords roughly as much protection to the user as a bullet proof vest or light armor.
    • Sister Natasha's Revolver - Saintly Fire: A powerful and blessed revolver, which when fed silver bullets shoots them with a powerful blessing against darkness. The barrel of the gun engraves upon the bullet as it leaves it a perfect cross and prayers to burn into demons and shadowy monsters. Highly powerful against evil creatures however it can only hold 6 bullets inside. Lilyan has 6 more in reserve, but must make more out of silver.
    • Saint George's Sideblade: A relic weapon which Sister Natasha was entrusted by her superiors to bear in combat against Dracula. A blade somewhat shorter than an arm from pommel to tip, it has silvered edges and is blessed against evil creatures. Upon it there is the Miracle of Multiplication, which allows the user to either duplicate the blade in combat or spawn smaller throwing dagger versions of the blade to use for throwing.
  • Brief History: Lylian Rosalind Molhs Belnades was born to an offshoot of the respected Belnades Family of magic users. While retaining their skill with the magical arts, the Molhs did not adhere to such a saintly path as their cousins, delving into darker magics and a more vain lifestyle. Lylian was born into this family, into what was nearly a full fledged coven of witches. One of many sisters and with a good amount of aunts, she was passed from member to member as she was schooled into the magical arts and made the assistant of whoever she was apprentice off at the moment. Such was her life of servitude until she obtained the years, knowledge and power to take out on her own and realize that in her family, nobody was free until they freed themselves. Lilyan has made her way through the world, cultivating a reputation for her love of travel, trickery and thirst for knowledge and power. While a few of her fellow sisters do move around, most prefer to cultivate their own little kingdoms into modern society. Lilyan on the other hand, is all about new thrills and places to go, keeping a nest in England she returns to only once in a while. However, while her magic can keep her beautiful, Lilyan feels the passage of time and for the first time in a while she worries about her mortality. She has not yet experienced nearly a fraction of what life has to offer and having no desire to slow down she has started to research ways to maintain her life indefinitely. With the rise of Dracula and the myriad of secrets and powerful beasts drawn to his dark magic, Lilyan sees and opportunity to obtain a secret or two to immortality as well as an artifact or two, some dark slaves and monster familiars and some secrets hidden since the Dark Lord's last rise. All of this, amusingly enough by the stories left of the true Belnades and their adventures fraught with peril in sealing the evil Lord for the good of the world and what they found within. Lilyan then made her way to the location of the Dark Lord's raising and in the way ran paths with Sister Natasha Crux, a sister sent to combat the evil in the castle. With some deceit and sweet talking, Lilyan managed to fool the Sister and seal her into a crystal, taking her valuable equipment and identity given her insecurities at being accepted initially by the Belmonts or possibly the direct line Belnades given her reputation. The crystal Sister Natasha is captured in is to be broken by itself in a month's time as a safeguard in case Lilyan doesn't return from the dark castle... Or she forgets. She's not evil enough to kill the Sister or keep her trapped eternally just to assume her identity... but neither will she lose sleep worrying about trapping her and may actually forget to set her free if it's up to her. She also totally intends to return the items once she's done slaying evil with them... if she doesn't take too much of a liking to them. Really, with the dangers in castle Dracula, Lilyan is doing charity service here protecting a poor nun from walking into such a death trap.

Sorry for the double post, this is what I have so far - hope it's to your liking.

  • Name: Marit Schylar / Vafthrudnir

  • Age: 25 / Several millennia

  • Appearance: Marit Schylar is almost 6 feet tall and has a fit, muscular body but still rather feminine albeit covered with bluish, scar-like markings and the occasional runic marking carved into the skin. Her hair is medium length and dirty blonde tied neatly back away from her pretty but altogether too pale face. Her eyes are solid white, pupil-less with faint blue veins at the edges and almost always looks like she is cold but never shivers.

  • Wears brown leather boots, simple linen trousers and a fitted white T-shirt. Often carries a smart satchel for her various belongings and her sword is strapped to a well-made leather belt at her hips. As Vafthrudnir gains more strength, or Marit loses hers, the air surrounding grows colder and mist seeps from her mouth. Teeth become more fang-like, fingernails turn to claws and eyes look like sheets of ice. The true form of this great ice demon is considerably more powerful, foreboding and inhuman but Marit has so far not let Vafthrudnir reveal this to anyone.

  • Personality: On first meeting Marit Schylar she seems to be a... difficult personality or at the very best a bit too brisk with others but is not actually arrogant or antisocial. Rather she is impossibly stubborn, both a blessing and a curse, and believes blunt, brutal honesty is greatest kindness she can bestow. Deceit and pretty words are for spineless wimps and children, frequently insulting her friends far more than her worst enemies, albeit in a jovial manner. Her humor is sardonic, at times outright snide but takes as much as she returns when it comes to verbal jabs occasionally getting a little boisterous with close friends.

  • Marit's sense of morality is strong but not black and white, more centered on karma or balance of a sort. She greatly enjoys learning and the occult, particularly hearing old Norse tales of heroes and monsters - she proudly upholds the family tradition of keeping the old ways, tales and knowledge alive but has great respect for modern science. As well as being somewhat of a scholar, she is a reasonable sketch artist and enjoys drawing the fantastic abominations and interesting characters she encounters if given the time. Marit is intelligent and rather clever but has trouble admitting failure or going along with anyone else's ideas . She hates Vafthrudnir and the feeling is mutual.

  • Vafthrudnir is, to put it bluntly, a complete bastard. Not entirely unexpected for an ancient, malevolent demon that steals bodies to keep itself on Earth but he can be a peculiarly petty soulless monster. Perhaps it just got bored after a number of years trapped inside a mortal body but for whatever reason the icy demon enjoys watching people suffer, confusing them and moreover irritating Marit. It does, however, agree with destroying Dracula for its own reasons, claiming him to be an 'upstart little' bugger.

  • Abilities:
  • Due to the power of the demon co-inhabiting her body, though she was no slouch in the first place, Marit has gained super-human strength and agility

  • Marit is somewhat more durable than a normal human and more severe damage tends to make her demonic traits more prominent. Very vulnerable to holy attacks, etc. particularly if in a more demonic state.

  • The area around Marit tends to drop in temperature to a noticeable, but not damaging, degree and her touch can cause frostbite or worse as Vafthrudnir gains control over the body.

  • Marit has some training and experience in combat, particularly with swords and hand-to-hand, from her father and various exploits. Not an expert by any means but skilled enough to be a worthy opponent for other hunters and demons.

  • Vafthrudnir has extensive knowledge of demons, the supernatural and history, at least relating to its own experiences. Marit knows of many pagan rituals, traditional remedies or wards against the supernatural and their weaknesses, runes, etc. (Not many actual spells) Not as familiar with Christian/Church methods and cannot use many techniques due to Vafthrudnir.

  • Multilingual (Dutch, German, English, Demonic, several old dialects), scholarship and skilled illustrator.

    • Equipment:

  • Leather-bound notebook - contains handwritten notes on various supernatural matters, complete with impressive illustrations, and some more personal comments.

  • Skofnung - Magical sword passed down to Marit from her father (whose ancestors discovered it in a shipwreck), said to be able to cut through steel and stone without so much as dulling the blade. It's sheaf is hard broiled leather marked with runes spelling out its name.

  • Several charms of a pagan nature on a necklace chain under her shirt.

  • A few pencils, pens, charcoal sticks and a small plastic bag of salt in an embroidered pouch on her belt.

  • A pair of dark sunglasses

  • 4 silver throwing knives, arranged neatly in her belt.

    • Brief History: Marit was born and raised in the Netherlands by her father and grandparents in a small village inside North Brabant, her mother dying when she was very young. Her family had for hundreds of years been scholars, wise-women and men of learning, upholding a long tradition of writing down and passing on knowledge from old times through the ages. As the old ways of combat, particularly against the supernatural, were abandoned they began training themselves as warriors as well - as Marit was the only of the last generation of the Schylars great emphasis was placed on her learning their ways. She was enthralled by the tales of gods, monsters and warriors, taking to the studying the great many books and tomes in their home. She would often draw the creatures described, having a talent for art but this was not as much encouraged to her annoyance.

    • Nevertheless Marit took to the family 'business' with great pride, when she came to the age of thirteen she was given her first real sword - taught to fight with fist and steel like their ancestors. The local people were divided in their opinions of the Schylar family and their activities - Christianity was well established in the region and frowned about pagan rituals or teachings but there were still many that rejected this foreign religion. Despite the threat of being outcast, Marit stood by their ways even after she left home to pursue more stories, rituals and lore. Her father gave her a sword recovered from one of his expeditions in times past, claiming it was the supernatural blade of a Scandinavian king.

    • When Marit was 21, living nearer South Holland and now fluent in a number of languages, she learned of a series of compellingly believable hauntings in a small town. She saw this as an opportunity to finally get a true glimpse of the 'myths' she so love to draw as well as confirm certain superstitions. Upon arriving there she found the troubles were emanating from an ancient cave, one rumored to have been sealed by Odin himself for the evil it contained. Too curious and stubborn to give head to any misgivings, the young scholar found the cave and found herself battling through creatures she had never imagined so real. Deep into the dark earth she found a giant creature of ice and riddles, Vafthrudnir it claimed to be and said it could not leave this place or walk upon the Earth in such a body. Caught off guard by the enthralling sight, the demon cast a powerful spell to take her body instead so as to be free.

    • Vafthrudnir was successful in possessing the young girl but underestimated her spirit, she trapping him within her self and regaining control of herself. However, the demon would not be shaken off and Marit would not end her life to take its - she alienated herself from her family from shame until she could find a way to safely excise Vafthrudnir, traveling Europe to this end. When she heard of the ominous goings on in Transylvania she knew Dracula's castle could hold the magics she needed. Strangely, Vafthrudnir seemed to agree with this course of action - perhaps looking for a new vessel or more power in such an unholy place.

  • Name: Erich Zauber, "Blood Alchemist".
  • Age: 175
  • Appearance: Zauber is rather fit-looking, with a decent build. He has somewhat of a manly chin with a goatee, although he has unnatural pale skin and white hair. He keeps his head shaved clean and his facial hair trimmed in a goatee. Zauber also wears tinted glasses to hide the fact he has red-hued eyes aswell. He usually dresses sharply in a black and red tuxedo.
  • Personality: While it is undeniable that Zauber has a very dark side to him, he's still rather friendly and personable, always trying to lighten the mood with various hijinks and a certain social clumsiness that make him rather endearing and nerdy once you know him. Zauber has a rather vivacious intellect, and respect knowledge and science. However when the mask cracks, Zauber displays a somber, cynical attitude. He despises humans nearly as much as other creatures for the most part, with notable exceptions of his family and friends. He also doesn't like to be reminded of his past failures (one of them caused his vampire condition) and failure to keep his daughter safe.
  • Abilities:
    • Vampire: Through a botched alchemical experiment to extract the essence of some vampire remains, Zauber became a Vampire himself. Zauber is stronger, faster, more resilient, with sharper senses, and more difficult to kill than the average human. He also has vampiric regeneration and can turn into a large bat or a mist cloud at will. Although this comes at the hefty price of having an unquenchable blood thirst and melting under the sunlight or holy stuff. Whoops.
    • Dark Arts: Being an unholy being, Zauber has managed to tap into the evil chaos energies and he can grant curses, control monsters and raise undead (although his control can't override that of more powerful vampires, not without a very conscious effort.) He can also toss fireballs arounds much like old D. Zauber hates using his darker powers as it makes people mistrust him, and it has somewhat of an intoxicating effect on his mind.
    • Ars Magna:Alchemy. Zauber was quite an accomplished alchemist in his youth, and he could create even anti vampiric weapons. However, Zauber managed to include and augment his alchemy with modern chemistry and physics, granting it a significant boost to its effects.
    • Ars Magna: Antares Flare: One of the most direct applications of his meld of ancient mysticism and physics, the Antares flare is a magic-fueled fusion-ignited plasma fireball with a rather large output. However it burns to ash Zauber's arm when using it, and it's highly unwieldy and unstable, its output being lower than Demonic Megiddo.
    • Chemistry: Zauber is an accomplished Chemist and he's got some nice notions on Physics aswell.
  • Equipment:
    • 7 x Flask of Blood
    • 3 x Explosive Potions
    • 3 x Acid Potions
    • 3 X Glue Potions
    • Special Alchemic Sunscreen (Which allows him to well... not melt in the sun in a quick outing.)
  • Brief History: Erich Zauber was an alchemist who was a fan of the occult. Having heard the obscure legend of the Crimson Stone, and seeing the numbers of fellow alchemists dwindling due to the surge of modern science, Erich sought to recreate the Crimson Stone, but botched the process and became infected with some vampiric remains. He ran into hiding to avoid the blades of Ecclessia and the likes of vampire hunting. His heart grew darker, and soon he found himself thinking to support Dracula in his war against God and the Belmonts. However, he came to his senses on the eve of the twentieth century. Erich did not fail to notice that despite all the struggle, and all the flaws of the world, the death and misery, humanity was overtaking them all. He was enthralled by modern science, and thus, his heart opened a little. During the 50's he started to pose and dwell into chemistry. It was then when he met his love, Stella. Keeping his vampiric urges to an all minimum, he had a rather happy life, siring even a child, Rosa. Things seemed happy for a time, until the sudden awakening of Rosa's dhampyr powers made her distraught, murdering her own mother and fleeing in a confused and enthralled state to the beacon of Darkness that was lit in the world: Dracula. Erich, with a heavy heart, took the resolve to bring his daughter back to her senses. And if it means stomping on the Dark Lord, then so be it.

How effective against vampires/baddies are faith in this setting?
