The suggestion is definitely an improvement, but I'm not ready to say it's the best possible depiction of the trope. While it's fairly impressive to be able to threaten Super Man, that still doesn't necessarily mean that his Plot Armor has been stripped away. It wouldn't surprise me at all to be told that Super Man got out of that scrape and bested the villain shortly after that.
Now, if, on the other hand, we could get an image showing a villain actually killing a recognizable hero, that would really drive the point home (provided said image isn't a spoiler).

I personally think the current is fine, but the suggestion is definitely better.

I dont know, I want to say we should use the image of the time he actually did kill Superman. After that he got the nerf bat and well was more of a joke.

This. There's no way to tell who is the hero. Superman on the other hand is a Primary-Color Champion.

I'd rather see the hero being actually killed (or at least mortally injured) rather than just being hoisted up, though.

Problem with the current pic is that for people unfamiliar with the Clone Wars the guy on the ground just looks like an unarmed, helpless guy (he's a Jedi, I suppose ?). Suggested alternative Darkseid holding Superman [1]
