Doesn't he oversee it? In the anime he has said that most scenes added are canon.

Speaking of which, in the anime Edgeshot (then #5 Hero) was also shown to be a U.A. alumni but not mentioned at the beginning of the series.

While I still highly doubt that Aizawa is number 3, I think those brief snippets were just about Heroes who would be most notable about things outside of their rankings.

I wouldn't even say Celebrity is an unfavourable view of America. Yeah, he's an asshole, and he's American, but he basically got kicked out because they wouldn't put up with his shit.

So far the series have yet to explore the Hero culture outside of Japan. Sure we got glimpse of it with that exchange student from Class B and that douchebag hero in the Illegal spin off series, but all in all nothing completely favorible/unfavorible with American heroes.

Maybe in a future story arc the creator will do like some kind of Foreign Exchange arc which sees Deku and co in an American High School, and we get to see the kinds of heroes there (please be an X-Men parody).

Already got an Xmen parody in the form of Not Cyclops and Wolverine in Illegals.

That's more of an x-men reference than a parody really.

I'm pretty sure the only American character in the main canon is Pony.

Even then with her surname she could be a case of But Not Too Foreign and half Japanese.

That is awesome, hahaha.

At the very least though, she doesn't seem to have spent much time in Japan or learned the language before entering U.A. Compared to Rin Hiryu, who is a Chinese exchange student but seems fluent in Japanese.

There's also the fairy-looking "American Cheerleaders" in the tournament, right?

I kinda hope we see more of her, if only because the joke where her classmates teach her inappropriate phrases is hilarious.

Pretty sure it's just the one idiot, and I hope one day she can return the favor.

Hope the movie doesn't take too much staff away from the anime.

There's some gameplay of One's Justice straight from Jump Festa. Mostly centers around Deku and Bakugo brawling out with some comic book-esque effects, scenery destruction and fighting on the sides of buildings.

Looks absolute rubbish TBH. Deku just spamming seismic shockwaves through the air just feels *wrong*. Also, there's something off about the way they move, like they haven't got shoulders or something.

The season 3 promo looks neat, and I'm hype for getting more League of Villains stuff animated, but who's the girl with the stripes under her eyes at 28-29 seconds in?

One of the Pussycats, if I don't miss my guess. Will have to recheck those chapters to tell you which one, though.

Blonde girl in the movie promo is clearly Hagakure.

And man, the videogame looks great. Good diversity of moves, combos don't look too canned, spectacle is awesome, good camera work. Seems to avoid the oversaturation of particles that a lot of 3D fighters get. Would need to see what mechanics beyond attack/block/dodge it has, but I'm pretty stoked. Also curious to see other characters, Bakugo and Deku are probably the ones who translate the easiest to a 3D fighting game.

Author revealed in an omake what Rappa's quirk was, has something to do with his shoulder sockets allowing him to rotate his arms.

Also amusing art piece featuring several of 1A having switched body's, quirks and hero costumes. Most amused that Jirou in Ashido's body (but still keeping her own quirk) is more concerned with her rack than anything else

Nah, I'm not caught up yet… I'm in the "rescue mission" part of the licence exam (chap 113). Which is pretty great in its concept. Shonen exams are usually focused on making the students compete rather than cooperate (including the first part of this one), so this is quite refreshing. I'm not quite used to the new characters yet though.
