Freddy Fazbear's Pizza: The Reopening (FNAF RP)

Somewhere, exists a place where children laugh and play, and animatronics entertain the guests. That place is called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Its mascot, Freddy Fazbear, along with his friends Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Duck, and the mysterious Foxy, make the place a fun experience for the whole family, singing songs and telling jokes to the children.

But then, a glitch occured.

It all began in 1987, when an animatronic bit off the frontal lobe of one of the patrons. The patron survived, but the suspect, Foxy, was supposedly shut down, along with his home, Pirate Cove. Then again, in 1989, when a man dressed in a Freddy Fazbear suit kidnapped and murdered 5 children. That was a hard blow to Freddy Fazbear's, and thus, a few years later, it was closed down.

Now, for some reason, it has been reopened, and taking employees for the night shift. But beware, for at night, the animatronics come to life, and if they see you, they will assume you are an exoskeleton, and forcefully shove you into a Freddy Fazbear suit. Do you dare step inside of Freddy Fazbear's, and take on the night shift?

Welcome, one and all, to the FNAF RP! I'm fairly certain there's already one, seeing as though the fandom completely exploded in such a short time. If so, please do forgive me, but I absolutely had to start this RP. In any case, let's get the Character Sheet over here!

Also, please, not too many animatronics. Give the humans some glory, some power. Having a Fazbear's full of animatronics and a few humans isn't very fair (Then again, neither was 4 Aninatronics, 1 Human.) In any case, let's go for 8 Animatronics and 8 Humans. Any others will be placed on a waiting list.

So...Is this going to be a bunch of kids breaking in and looking around Freddy's?

Yes and no. Technically, Freddy's is reopened, but after everything that happened, no one dares attend it. It still has job openings for the night shift, even though no one goes there. If you wanna be a kid and break in to see if the rumors about the animatronics moving on their own free will, go ahead.

Well, just an FYI, you're going to have to take a ton of liberties with the game. (Making the building WAY bigger for one.)

Well, yeah, of course. I already had planned to work on that. Think I'll just leave it for when we begin the world-building.

Hm. Might be interested in this. Will it include daytime parts? I already have a couple character ideas.

Yeah, a good portion of the RP will be played during the daytime, considering that, in the game, nights are only 6 hours long.

Well I've come up with the character bio- based on a random OC idea I came up with before. Not sure if I should post it or wait for what other people come up with. (If I might suggest something for someone else- there should be a drummer animatronic for the band. They are in serious need of some percussion!)

I'd apply for the night watchman role, but I'm afraid my idea for his character is, well...

I figure I'll just post mine and hopefully get the ball rolling.

Name: Leah the Lioness

Race ((Human or Animatronic)): Animatronic

Age: 2 (characterized as an adult)

Birthday/Date of Initial Operation: November 1

Date of Decommission (Optional for Animatronics): Currently active

Appearance: An animatronic in the shape of an anthropomorphic lioness. Her basic body plan is mostly based on the thinner profile of Foxy, with some modifications to make her more feminine. Her head is somewhat similar to Freddy's, but shaped to fit her role as a lioness. Unlike the older animatronics, her mouth is closed off from the outside, looking a bit more realistic and not having the infamous double teeth. She has light-tan fur and green eyes, with lids and eyelashes. Like Freddy, her ears have a swivel point at their base, allowing her ears to tilt along to the music. She always wears a sparkly dress of some kind- she goes backstage and changes clothes every night so that she's ready with a new look for the next performance. She also wears a flower behind her right ear, but her feet are bare and generally look similar to Freddy or Bonnie's.

Bio: "Freddy met Leah the Lioness on his world tour, and invited her to take her piano skills to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. As the newest member of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Band, Leah invites you have a 'grrrrand' time!" That's what the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza website has to say about Leah. Of course, the truth is a lot less exotic and adventurous than that; she was built in a workshop like all the rest of the pizzeria's characters, and has never even been outside the country. As one of the first characters designed specifically for the reopening, much of her design was intended to facilitate the eventual reintroduction of the interactivity and closeness to the customers that defined Freddy's prior to the Bite of '87. Specifically, she has a new mouth design that is meant to reduce the likelihood of a new bite incident.

Currently, she only occasionally leaves the piano during the day, heading straight for the stage to sing along with Freddy, Chica, and Bonnie, before returning to her place. The staff members watch closely during every one of these trips, hoping nothing goes wrong. So far, nothing notable has gone wrong; the hope is that customers will regain enough confidence in the animatronics' safety that they will be able to roam the building freely during the day once again.

Of course, not everything is happy for Leah, as much as it might seem so to the regular customers. It wasn't long after she'd been introduced that she began to exhibit the same nighttime quirks as the others. She would stalk the night staff like a real lioness hunts her prey. Not only that, she would occasionally bang on the doors leading outside, trying to escape. Some of the engineers think she's being like a cat who wants out; others think that her world-traveler persona is causing her to desire life outside of Freddy Fazbear's. Whatever the case is, Leah will certainly be one of the many things going bump (and occasionally SKREEEEE) in the night around here.

I'm probably not going to be able to get involved in the RP, but it looks really interesting I've got a few questions i thought i might bring to your attention on how it all might work in the building, especially during the night sections:

Will there be a map of the entire Pizzeria, maybe with outside/upstairs sections added to make things bigger and more open-ended?

Are the original animatronics (Freddy, Foxy, Bonnie and Chica) up for grabs by players? If not, will they be GM controlled or simply absent entirely?

If something... untoward were to happen to a human player involving the animatronics at night and they found themselves stuffed into an animatronic suit, would they be able to retain player control over the new animatronic, as though they had "switched sides"? Or would something else happen?

I do have a few ideas for some characters, which I could PM to people if they want, but the animatronics could be used as unpowered "spares" who were never switched back on after the reopening.

@Gillian 414: Regarding the map, yes, there will be some modifications to the building to enhance the RP, however, seeing as though I am a terrible artist, I wont be able to post a picture of the new map. If someone is willing to draw out a "blueprint", per se, of the building, it would be much obliged. As for the animatronics, yes, they will be operated by the G Ms, however, they will not receive as much "screen time", to let the others shine. Finally, regarding humans getting caught, they will pass onto the Animatronics side, but still be playable, and their position will be filled by a human character on stand-by (If any are). However, humans (and animatronics) will only be eliminated if the player requests the GM to have them put down. Otherwise, the most that will be done is severe damage.

•Race: Human

•Birthday/Date of Initial Operation:August 21st 1991

•Appearance:6ft, brown shaggy hair, green eyes, caucasian, blue tee shirt, baggy blue jeans

•Bio: He was always intrigued by animatronics, the way a bunch of metal parts could move in the way they did, and the place he loved the most was Freddy Fazbears Pizza, he'd always go and see the animatronics play their music. He grew away from this love of animatronics upon the change from middle school to high school. He now just needs to make a little bit more money to make his way through college, so he is now working at his once favorite restaurant.

•How they came across Freddy Fazbear's (Humans only): He was walking the streets one day and came across a help wanted sign, he applied and got in.

Hold me a spot as an animatronic please?

• Name: Cosmo the Crocodile
• Race: Animatronic
• Age: 4 (Characterized as adult)
• Date of Intial Operation: June 23rd
• Appearance: Cosmo is an animatronic anthropomorphic crocodile, however he is much more realistic and less cartoony than the other cast members at Freddy Fazbear's. He walks in a stilted, jerky fashion and has several of his teeth bent inwards, which is clearly shown by his slightly twisted jaws.
• Bio: Cosmo was initially introduced as a test run to see how well a more 'realistic' mascot character would do, when children ended up being more scared of the reptilian animatronic than entertained, he was quietly decommissioned and left in the back room for spare parts. As can be imagined, Cosmo didn't take well to this at all and bit the first employee who tried to dismantle him, requiring a crowbar to wrench his jaws from around the unlucky man's arm. Now he sit strapped down, during the day, but released to wander at night.
• Power: He cuts the camera feed of the rooms he enters, disruption is temporary and the feed will resume when he exits the room.
