Supports cartoons being cartoony!Gerald Mc Boing Boing is one of the classics of animation, helped by the great writing of Dr Seuss. This was the second time one of his books was adapted into a cartoon, incidentally. (The first being Bob Clampett's Horton Hatches the Egg.)
The Mr. Magoo cartoons posted above, by the way, are from the TV era of UPA - not the theatrical Magoo cartoons that are rarely seen in the US. The great acting of Jim Backus is still there, however, and TV UPA did produce Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, the best thing done with the character.
Here's another theatrical UPA cartoon for ya:
Note the credits include Bill Scott, future voice of Bullwinkle, and one of the actors is the great Thurl Ravenscroft.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."The tv upa cartoons count too. Oh and John Hubley's commercials. Thanks for making me remember the dude
Here's another UPA cartoon I really enjoy also

soothing voiced narrator and oh so creepy :D
Supports cartoons being cartoony!"The Tell-Tale Heart"... another one of their best!
Offbeat artistic choices, genuine creepiness, and above all, no pretension! This is animation for adults and how good it is!
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."
Post some of your favorite cartoons made by UPA!
I personally find their cartoons very hit or miss, but they have some that pretty good

probably their most famous and best. Too bad it got a horrible show on boomerang. Kids would have loved the original.

good old Mr. Magoo. Who knew a cartoon with a character that's as blind as a bat can be so enjoyable lol
