Some interest here
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song. So, does this mean that we won't start together?
Good to be backThere will be a number of teams, who might eventually group together.
Like, in one area, the classic Red, Blue, Yellow and Pink rangers might be working together to destroy the DRA monster Reflecto, while in another area, Cyan and Opal Rangers are fighting against a horde of Cryptons.
The DRA Invasion is hitting a lot of places.
Some of the areas we will be able to go into will be San Francisco and the general Western Unites States, a more Midwestern Area, and the Eastern New England Area.
Of course, that means there will be many different leaders in different areas, who will need to learn to trust one another to coordinate against the DRA.

Good to be backShould be interesting.
Go for it.
Also, does anyone have any plot elements they would like to add in? Any ideas therein?
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Are we going to have a theme for the rangers, or something like that?
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Every team will have their own little theme, but the overall theme will be something that emerges through the events.
If there's an idea for a theme besides, I could work that in.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Posting to express my interest; I'll have a character sheet up today or tomorrow.
"Allow me to show you how a real whale does battle!"Done. Please tell me what needs to be changed/expanded, if anything.
Name: Ken Zengar
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Appearance: Ken stands at 5'7" tall, and is muscular from his spartan-esque upbringing. He has plentiful scaring from said upbringing; some of this scaring is fading, while some of it appears recent due to how vivid it still is. He has red hair, brown eyes, and a sort of square-ish face. He usually wears a plain white t-shirt and navy blue/black sweatpants, though he'll wear other types of clothing as long as they aren't restrictive. He likes to walk around barefoot, but he also keeps a pair of flip-flops around just in case he's in a place that doesn't allow that sort of thing.
Personality: Due to his upbringing, Ken is kinda sorta socially retarded. Ken is an extremely blunt and extremely honest kid. He tries to be kind, but his lack of tact and common sense often gets in the way of that. While he does know that such things exist, he doesn't "get" concepts like sarcasm or subtlety, and they will often fly straight over his head. He is a fighter, and doesn't really know how to do anything else. He will always do his best at any task he is supposed to perform, though this does tend to make his screw-ups that much worse. He is an extremely idealistic person, to the point of being naive. He firmly believes that Rousseau Was Right and won't believe that someone is a bad person until they prove it without a shadow of a doubt. However, because of this mentality, he is also incapable of thinking that anyone from the Darke Reach's Alliance could be a person due to how blatantly evil they are (or at least, appear to be).
Bio: Ken could never claim to have had a normal childhood. Ken was found all by his lonesome in one of California's myriad mountainous regions by one Gregory Zengar when he was an infant. Desperate for a student in a time where training in the mountains for your entire life is an outdated and quite frankly crazy practice, Gregory adopted Ken instantly. He wasted no time in beginning the child's training, waiting only until the boy could stand before he started.
Despite his tentative insanity, Gregory proved to be a loving (if not...somewhat stern) father for Ken, and Ken responded by idolizing Gregory. He saw his master/father as the pinnacle of what a man could be, and strived to be more like him as he grew. Thus, Ken grew up in a very peculiar, if ultimately loving, childhood.
One day, both he and his father saw one of the DRA's Monsters terrorizing a nearby town. After the creature had left, Ken and Gregory descended from the mountains to help all of the survivors and figure out what the crap was going on. After they finished helping all of the people they could at the town, they went their separate ways; Gregory was off to find the monster itself, while Ken was sent to gather all of the info he could about it. While gathering information, Gregory dropped contact, and Ken hasn't heard from him since.
Ken's asking around about both his master and the DRA eventually paid off when a representative of Project Yggdrasil decided to test him for Power Ranger candidacy, which he passed when a green gem and the glove it fit into reacted to him. It was here that he learned about the DRA and situation that surrounded its invasion. Unable to ignore the fact that innocent people were suffering, Ken agreed to join almost immediately, and thus became the Green Ranger. He now focus' on honing his skills and searching for news of his master in his free time.
Other Details: Ken isn't one to tolerate bullies, though he'll usually think they're tragically misguided and/or just lashing out at a world they think hates them. As such, he'll do his best to stop bullies, but he'll also try to reform them. Given his oddities, this has a success rate of 0% so far. Also, though he was trained in martial arts, he was not trained in the use of the guan dao, and will have to learn how to use it over the course of the RP.
Morpher Color: Green
Weapon Type: A guan dao (this, with a longer pole and minus the flag tag◊). It has no true ranged form, but compensates by focusing energy into the tip of its blade and firing it. Still, it's much more effective as a melee weapon than as a ranged one.
Zord: The Dragon General Zord, modeled after the ancient Chinese general Guan Yu. It forms the right arm of the Megazord it belongs to, and its guan dao can be used as a secondary sword for said Megazord.

"Allow me to show you how a real whale does battle!"Accepted. This could lead to some very interesting developments down the line.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Is it okay to have my character not start with a zord.
Good to be backThat's fine with me.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.- Name: Matthew Streiss
- Gender: Male
- Age: 16
- Appearance: Matthew is a tall young man, whose appearance and build have been influenced by the fact he plays High School Football as the Quarterback, being both strongly built and agile looking. He has golden blond hair normally collected in a ponytail or, sometimes, in a bun, but when fully let go, it shows he has long hair in the back that reaches to the shoulder area. He is also markedly quite a handsome person, and is described by most as having a very pleasant smile. He most often wears a red muscle shirt with a white and blue letterman jacket over it, and jeans that are tucked into a pair of sneaker shoes.
- Personality: Matthew is...complicated. While he is easily the idealist, he believes that ideals require commitment and a certain amount of will power to do things outside the box to see fulfilled. He thinks that just about everyone can become a friend, and makes an effort to cultivate friendships with other Rangers over a message board. One of his fondest ideas is uniting the Rangers to face the DRA, but given how some of Yggdrasil's Chosen have turned out, that seems far away, and he's willing to admit it. He also tends to think that he should no matter what project a smiling, confident leading man persona, resulting in a constantly smiling, confident leader who might not be quite so much on the inside. Due however to naivety, he is very easily hurt and broken up about things, and while he's very used to physical pain, he's not all that used to pain that comes from emotions. He is also markedly suspicious of Yggdrasil, due to the rather shady way he met Baker. He is also rather disdainful of the idea that there is a Chosen Few, and not a Chosen Many, believing that everyone should have the opportunity to obtain the way to protect their homes. Matthew seems to have a very personal target within the DRA - their General-Class monster, Wartact, because Wartact used a blast to crush Matthew's parents right in front of him. He refuses, though, to say the three letter word - mostly because he cannot accept it, himself, that they're "gone". To this end, if there's even a hint of Wartact anywhere, expect Matthew to go running off to try to challenge him.
- Bio: Matthew comes from a middle class family, and for the most part, his childhood was remarkably normal. There was nothing to suggest he was special or worthy of heroism. He became a football player mostly on his own virtues, his determination and his unerring will. However, when the DRA attacked, his school in Northern California was hit particularly hard. Wartact personally arrived with three handpicked commanders and attacked while the school was holding a rally - teachers, students and parents in attendance. Matthew testified that Wartact locked a large group of them into the gym and put poison gas in there after sealing it up. He also ended up seeing the end of his parents against Wartact personally. He only escaped due to Baker's intervention, and he remains cynical about why Baker couldn't have just saved his parents too...
- Other Details: Matthew's favourite food is pasta and / or egg rolls. His favourite hobbies include weight-lifting, reading, and enjoying the atmosphere and outside world around him.
- Morpher Color: Silver
- Weapon Type: Matthew makes use of a Cruciform Broadsword, which can shift into shooting mode, lightning shot mode, shield mode, and arrow mode.
- Zord: Silver Allosaurus-Zord, armed with quite a lot of weaponry, including a bladed tail, and flaming breath.
Much interest.
GIVE ME YOUR FACE- Name: Elizabeck "Beck" Bathory
- Gender: Female
- Age: 19
- Appearance: Beck is a short girl, standing about 5,6. She has chin length red hair. She often wears a sleeveless black shirt, a red tie and fingerless gloves, along with numerous accessories such as rings, and
- Personality: Beck, is a bitch. She's rude, obnoxious, often pointing out other people's flaws, hell, she's more than likely the type of person to abuse power than use it.
- Bio: Beck is an army brat, who ran away from home and has been living on the street for a while,
- Morpher Color: Amethyst
- Weapon Type: Beck weilds a battle axe, which doubles as a shotgun.
- THIS IS UNFINISHED.
We do need the three man morally darker team...though I have to wonder how comfortable she'd be on such a team, given who'll be on it.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Current DRA Power Structure - subject to change in the future:
- Warguile: The head of the invasion force, Warguile finds himself busy administrating over conquered areas and smoothing over the DRA's dominion - they don't want to destroy the earth, they want to conquer it and add it to their domains, and Warguile reflects on this. He is described at times as the most powerful General-Level monster in the invasion force.
- Wartact: A lesser General-Level Monster, Wartact makes up for the disparity between his and Warguile's power by being both utterly ruthless and completely pragmatical, being willing to stab anyone in the back if it means he can advance the plans. The Starscream as opposed to Warguile's Noble Demon, Wartact is also known as a skilled swordsman.
- Sayraq: The Brute, not exactly the most intelligent general, but he mostly leaves thinking to his immediate superiors. Possibly one of the best swordsmen in the DRA...though its hinted there's someone better.
- Malfien: The subject of a future Wham Episode. Not much is known about him, except he has a fondness for puns.

Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Beck would be fine.
Good to be backAlright, then finish her character and I will evaluate the completed character.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.I have a concept for a character that which I believe would be rather fun to run... I won't spoil exactly what it is, but I'd like to call dibs on the Pink Morpher for the time being, as it is kinda important for my idea to work.
I have to work on important stuff for the Puella Magi dealio-thingy I'll "GMing" in a very near future, so I have to give priority to that before writing down my idea... But I hope to be able to share it soon enough.
Also, I have another idea... This one related to the Zords.
Since you have established that Rangers not necessarily from the same team will be fighting alongside each other, that would also mean that there will be lots of instances where a Megazord combination won't be possible, because the other members of their aren't there.
So, in order to "alleviate" that issue to a certain extend, I propose you could implement a Getter Robo inspired combination system...
...Where three Zords can perform an union to fight the enemies who are just too tough for the individual mechs to take down. It would be step below a real Megazord, a "Superzord" if you will, but I think it could make for an interesting dynamic.

"It's better to burn out... THAN TO FADE AWAY!"Or, y'know, we could just say that all the Zords are Universally Compatible with one another.
GIVE ME YOUR FACEAlright, dibs for the time being.
Yeah, I'm thinking that such would generally work better.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.- Name: Captain V
- Gender: Male
- Age: 18
- Appearance: Bushy black hair and green eyes. Tall with a slender build. Wears a heavy black longcoat with with golden trim, a white tank top underneath, black pants and a pair of brown leather boots. Walks with a cocky stride and is usually smirking.
As a Ranger his suit is primarily gold with a popped collar and a black 'shirt' underneath with a skull and crossbones on it. His helmet is sleek with the top half being black and the mouthpiece being gold. The visor resembles a pair of shades that are blue in colour. On top of his helmet is a skull and crossbones.
- Personality: Captain V is extremely cocky and noble, never backing down from a fight or leaving anyone behind. However he has a massive ego and thinks that everyone else is helpless without his contributions. He enjoys good company and song and is generally happy and outgoing. Or at least he appears to be.
- Bio: Captain V was once the favourite Privateer of the ruling Matriarch on a distant planet. His planet was sacked by the DRA, forcing him to flee with his Queen in tow. During their escape his Queen was gravely injured and he had no choice but to cryogenically freeze her. Practically alone, Captain V drifted in space for weeks on end, his escape vessel running dangerously low on fuel and it's life support systems on the verge of failing until he came across an abandoned golden ship in good working order and within it a golden key. He dubbed it The Queen's Revenge and waged a one-man guerrilla campaign against the DRA. After learning about the Alliance's plans to take over earth he flew there to assist them and hopefully has his Queen revived. Commander Baker noticed that a small treasure chest-like device he had reacted with The Queen's Revenge. Deducing that it was a Morpher he presented it to Captain V, cementing his position as the Gold Ranger. Captain V now fights for his new home and hopes to one day return to his planet with his Queen and restore there once great kingdom.
- Other Details: Has taken a liking to Earth's casinos and parlour games.
- Morpher Colour: Gold. The Morpher itself resembles a small brown treasure chest. When the golden key is inserted into it the lid pops open and bathes the 'morphee' in golden light.
- Weapon Type: This thing◊. A combination axe-musketoon. He calls it the "Musketwain".
- Zord: The Cruiser Zord or The Queen's Revenge as V calls it. It is a golden spacecraft that resembles a pirate ship, complete with a sword on the tip of it's bow and massive amounts of fire power. The bow is shaped like a shark's head with a cannon in it's mouth and two fin-like wings on either side of it. It's a nimble craft able to avoid attacks and counterattack directly. When combining with other Zords it can form the main body to produce a body capable of flight or an arm cannon.

GIVE ME YOUR FACEExpressing interest in making the leader of the ambiguous-morality team
the one that Beck's on, I suppose
Since Troyand has expressed that he didn't want his character to start off with a zord, I'll have one of the ones that can work on its own (kinda like how the Tyrannozord made up most of it's Megazord), but functions better when it's part of a team. Mostly in that it has two forms, a lone humanoid one and an untransformed animal one

"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"
Based on an old fanfic I worked on, when I was much younger.
Focused on an element of Decon-Recon Switch, with a somewhat similar tone to Kamen Rider Gaim.
Its the first day of 2025, and the world is set to celebrate the new year when a group of aliens land in New York City.
Declaring themselves to be the DRA - the Darke Reach's Alliance - they attack mercilessly, and even the United States Army proves unable to defeat the "Monsters" that the DRA uses in place of their own soldiers.
It is even said that one DRA Monster is worth 1000 Human Soldiers.
However, a special task force called Project Yggdrasil was formed by a man named Commander Baker, who had a number of devices he had located that only responded to certain people. These chosen people would become "Power Rangers", capable of defeating the DRA's monstrous legions.
Together with Humongous Mecha linked in some odd way to the "Morphers", the chosen would do battle against the current DRA General-Class Monster in charge of the enemy forces, Warguile.
However, a complication came up - most if not all of the "Chosen" turned out to be teenagers, positing a dilemma to Baker.
How to best lead these teenagers with attitude, who have never seen war, into a campaign against the DRA?
