Not impressed by the current; I am inclined to yank.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt's not better than any of the images in the last thread. I still have the same opinion. Pluck.
Check out my fanfiction! The caption does 95% of the work. Pull.
In the previous thread, the following image was proposed which I find a decent choice:
[1]◊
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!+1 to yank the current.
In the previous thread there were concerns about 5 just showing mourning without guilt, but I think it's still better than nothing.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I was going to suggest a picture of the Vietnam memorial for 5.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.As I said in the last thread, I like the Vietnam memorial.
The Vietnam Memorial image does leave a bit of room for misinterpretation, but I think it should be clear enough in the context of the page. It's definitely better than the current image.
I'm not 100% sold on the Vietnam Memorial pic, but it's leagues better than the current so I'd support a swap in lieu of a better suggestion.
Not sold at all on that one.
Check out my fanfiction!@5 may not be the best illustration of the trope, but I suppose it's way better than everything else suggested. And I think it's better than nothing.
5 is OK, but I think it would be better to have an image that would not relate to war here.
I am half-leaning towards 5.
Admittedly, yes, from the image alone, the image doesn't show any guilt, just mourning. But, as a page image for the trope, I think it gets the meaning across.
Also, I think it's a very poignant and beautiful picture.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I wasn't sold by 5 in the last thread, but compared to current, it's great. But even so, I still don't think it's as great page image. It's always depicted mourning versus guilt, which are very different things to me.
Definitely yank the current. It just says guilt. And only because of the (hard to read) subtitles. Hell, the subs even say "They all feel..." which make it seem less likely that it'd be Survivor Guilt and more guilt over doing something wrong.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Pull current regardless of replacement.
My troper wallIt looks like nearly all of us think 5 is at least decent. Switch?
5 is a pretty good image. I say pull the terrible current and add that one.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."5 is definitely better than leaving it blank, and current, while a great example, is a terrible image. I support the swap.
I found a better quality version of 5, and we've got enough consensus so it's up and tagged. Caption or no?
The caption can pull it away from looking like just mourning. Maybe, "I should have died that day."
"The dead speaks to the living. The living misses the dead."
If that's too verbose:
"Have I earned this?"

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
The current on Survivor Guilt was added without discussion, and after the previous pic was yanked. To me, it relies completely on the caption...moving to pull regardless of replacement.
