Pretty sure you can use -san about animals, especially if you're particularly polite. I've heard it, at least.
Check out my fanfiction!I'm not so concerned about how to address the goat as I am the girl.
she should be -chan, right? I'm not an expert.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.No. Using -chan implies she's either young or have a close relationship of some sort. It's not strictly female, and -san is gender neutral.

Check out my fanfiction!"-san" is the better term to use if you want to focus on courtesy. Or, if you want to turn it Up To Eleven, use "-sama".
It's a goat. I think -san would be better. Calling a goat -sama sounds too over the top.
I swear I read that animals are generally -chan, though. I mean, barring Duck's assertion to the contrary, which I honestly believe (although I think -chan works better here).
Moon◊Pets are usually -chan. For random animals you want to be polite to, I'd use -san.
Check out my fanfiction! For what it's worth, I used "-san" because I've heard it on TV Tropes a couple of times attributed to people. I am not familiar with Japanese outside of it, so "-chan" didn't cross my mind.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman-chan is for cute animals. It's a term of endearment, not respect. You don't bow while calling someone -chan.
I'd go with -san, this seems to be a fairly informal thing in the pic and the goat certainly doesn't look like enough of a pet to deserve -chan.
Personally, I would oppose @49 because it's all-Japanese; a single suffix is OK but an entire sentence is a bit much.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPersonally, I still like my own suggestion at @14.
Not right away, not right awaySeems like we'll need a caption crowner here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThis is my fault. I didn't keep my mouth shut.

Not right away, not right awayI don't really like the all-English one, tbh.
Especially not the goat speaking English.

Moon◊What about: "Konnichiwa, goat-san!" "Baaaaa."
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Pretty much Willbyr's (the one I support), with a different greeting used (and the English word for "goat"); I'd be fine with it too.
Moon◊I think we can go ahead and call this one. The caption's added and the tag's adjusted; locking up.
Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
Technically it'd be "-chan".
Just swap that in for "-san" in Willbyr's take, and we're pretty much on-point.
