I think that's pretty good.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. It's good!
Since they're robots that look like they could merge together in-universe, though, it might be good to add a caption that somehow clarifies that this trope is not a Wonder Twin Powers type thing. Just to be on the safe side in case people skip the description.
Off-topic, but do we have a trope about that? Multiple characters splicing together to form a more powerful hybrid, that is. I searched around little but the aforementioned Wonder Twin Powers was the closest I could find.
This implies, quite correctly, that my mind is dark and damp and full of tiny translucent fish.It works, but I'm not sure the low-angle shots of the characters are the best, especially since it makes the shoulder less visible, which isn't helped by the busy design of the film version.

Check out my fanfiction!^ That was my main concern, but those were the best quality images with a neutral white background. The low angle shot of Prowl (top right) is close to the low angle shot of Movie!Bumblebee (bottom), making a similar silhouette and the color scheme of G1!Bumblebee helping draw the connection towards the bottom image. I wanted to avoid arrows and in-picture titles, letting the visuals tell the story. Being robots with iconic and distinctive appearances, that works a lot better than trying to explain how a character takes the name from one and the personality from another.
EDIT: We could also add a caption that says 'Color scheme of the first, appearance of the second' or something like that (with a subnote explaining the characters and respective franchises).

So we've got a picture that has some support (with only minor concerns), is there any objection if I put it on the page?
None from me.
No objections here.
Went ahead and did so.
Looks like you've added a caption as well.
So everything's done, then?
Don't have any complaints.
Check out my fanfiction!Just to make sure, this trope doesn't require that the composite be plot-wise as well as visual, right? It can just be visual? The description is sort of unclear on that point.
The trope is about characters (e.g in an adaptation) that are combinations of other characters.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've been kind of tweaking the description at the same time. The original description had an odd focus on the idea being mostly about how it is used with Based on a True Story kind of things. The trope itself is more of a loose concept about adaptations with Loads And Loads Of Characters than a tightly defined, narrow definition about how it is used only one way. There is a new paragraph I put in about how diversely the trope can be used.
Looks like we're done here. Locking up.
Composite Character is really not that hard of an idea to convey visually, so I spent a few minutes making this image◊, just looking for approval or other suggestions.
