I guess since this is my first post on the thread- I have no desire to play the game , but that means it did its job. From videos it's probably the scariest game I've ever seen, it really capitalizes on Nothing Is Scarier.

Yeah,while the game does scare the shit outta me so I kinda don't wanna play it,its honestly really well done,in terms of gameplay,horror,and story.

@Faw: What helped me get over the Paranoia Fuel most effectively was finding all the fanart this game has over at Know Your Meme. Yeah, they've got some scary images there too, but a lot of them are silly, cute, or (apparently) Rule34. It took some of the fangs out of the game's terror factor very well, in my opinion. Even the tropers with FNaF avatars here don't bother me anymore.

^note Of course, don't do what I did after that and think that you'll be able to handle watching the game being played just because of some crazy fanart... I failed to take into account that I hadn't heard the game being played, which added a whole 'nother level of creepy (I did not think, or had forgotten, that Chica "talks", for instance). I could barely watch a playthrough of two nights before chickening out... and losing another night of sleep.

Wait, Chica talks? I haven't heard that.

Yeah, I think I may have to invest in leaving my netbook running with calming music during the night. Not, like, a lullabye, though. Lullabies are scary.

@Scott Pilgrim: Dude, you don't seriously expect that I seriously expect the entirety of the internet to stop talking about a thing because I mentioned that it would be nice of them. At this point I don't even expect you to. ... Out of curiousity, you don't happen to be one of those people who make fun of trigger warnings and such, right?

@Customer: Hmmmh, I've already seen a lot of the fanart, but forcefully thinking of something cute or silly to replace something scary still means you know what you're trying to avoid, and my brain seems to be pretty self-destructively inclined.

So, apparently sometimes in this game, Foxy will actually sing this song, if what I've heard from the Fan Wiki of FNAF and other places is correct. Talk about Nightmare Retardant.

Also, I've heard that even if you set the AI Levels to 0 on the 7th Night, the animatronics will still come after you. Are there any videos of this happening? Cause I'd like to see it myself.

This is actually a hallucination. Keiichi dies from acute heart failure as a result of terror. This scene is what I believe to be the inspiration for Golden Freddy from a mystery perspective.

It's just a joke. Foxy running into your room as the main picture is a callout to Shrek's musical opening sequence when he opens the door between "SOME" and "BODY ONCE TOLD ME"

Despite how scary it is, I can't help feeling attached to this game because it reminds me of the old ghost stories me and my friends used to come up with about Chuck E Cheese's in elementary school. We always wondered what the robots did at night, and we settled on them doing, well, this. If a kid got left in the arcade overnight, they'd get captured and killed if they were seen, but they could hide until morning.

On top of that, I got really excited that Scott got the endoskeletons pretty much accurate. I remember seeing a display of them at Disney World, and they look exactly like the ones in the game, except for the teeth.
